038 Teleport Spell

[Dimensional Gate] [Arcane Gate] [Teleportation] [Door] are 4-ring, 6-ring, 7-ring and 9-ring space spells respectively.

The teleportation distance of the first two spells is less than 500 feet, and although [teleportation] has no distance limit (cannot cross planes), it is only a one-time cast.

The 9-level conjuration spell [Door] can be cast across planes, but its duration is only 1 hour. And its casting material only requires a diamond worth more than 5,000 gold coins (the casting material must be successfully cast/

will be consumed after failure)

To learn a space spell, a mage may need to experiment dozens or hundreds of times. Without talent, it will not be learned even a thousand times, so there are many high-level mage who cannot "open the door".

Although space magic is not uncommon in Faerûn, due to the above reasons, space magic services or related props are very expensive.

It is even more difficult to solidify a portal at a certain physical location, which requires unimaginable amounts of energy and extremely superb space magic technology.

The Mist Elf's "South Wind Fortress", "Green Forest Fortress", "Elf King's Court" and "Mist Town" all have two-way teleportation arrays leading to the "Mountain Tower"

——Compared to portals that operate in real time, teleportation arrays require activation by a mage. However, only the casting of a low-level mage can open portals connecting hundreds of kilometers!

The energy requirements to maintain this kind of teleportation array are not low, and the elves rely on the power of [Mystery Lock] to support their operation.

It’s hard to explain what [Mystery Lock] is. Victor’s understanding is “the sect formation in the world of immortality”…

This mountain range was once shrouded in a large and complete mystery. It was thousands of years ago when this group of war-weary wood elves (also known as green elves and wild elves) migrated from the High Wasteland to the Chult Peninsula.

They gave this forest the same name as their hometown - Misty Forest.

During the period when the elves were at their most powerful, more than a dozen elven high mages (equivalent to legends), as well as many archdruids and hundreds of high-level spellcasters, worked together to introduce a series of magic rules into these mountains and forests.

, formed a large comprehensive magic circle, also known as [Mystery Lock]

——Explained this way, it is indeed no different from the "Zongmen Formation"...

Due to the distortion of half of the misty forest by the Dark Green Calamity, the Elven Mystery Lock has been in danger due to the lack of legendary spellcasters for many years. If it were not for the timely repair of Archmage Felix, it might have completely become history now.

In the early days of the establishment of Myth Lock, the biggest enemies of the elves were the dinosaurs and other primitive creatures in the Chult jungle. The Chult Peninsula still has the spirits of two powerful dinosaur demigods wandering... So the Myst Lock is very hostile to primitive creatures such as dinosaurs.

The creatures are highly targeted, but lack protection against dragons.

The power of the Mystery Lock has protected the misty forest from primitive creatures for thousands of years, but its failure in the past two hundred years has forced the elves to deploy a large number of guards on the east side of the forest. This results in hundreds of elves fighting with primitive creatures in the east every year.

Lives were lost in the fight.

If it weren't for the emergence of the legendary mage, it would only be a matter of time before the elves would be exterminated, so Archmage Felix was also called the "Light of the Mist"

And now this archmage appears in front of Victor!

"The misty forest welcomes you, a strong man from another plane!"

The muscular man couldn't react.

What appeared in front of Victor was an older male elf with a wrinkled forehead. His gray-green mage robe was unremarkable. Apart from this robe, he brought nothing with him, not even any shoes.

Archmage Felix's eyes are emerald green and deep, and anyone who sees him can tell at the first glance: he is a wise man.

What surprised Victor the most was that the words just came not from his mouth, but seemed to come from all directions——

"Is this showing off?!"

Looking at the muscular man standing there stunned, Master Yiwen had to explain.

——Sir Felix has not spoken in nearly 30 years. Just now he used a little trick of vibrating the air with magic power to speak.

"Sure enough, you are just showing off!"

Victor confirmed in his heart.

"Ah! I've known you for a long time, it's the first time we meet, hello, hello!"

Victor started his business negotiation mode again, which made Elf General Ernest twitch the corner of his mouth.

It was in this mode that he had just engaged in a magically worthless "business exchange" with this "Vice Admiral".

The Archmage just smiled when he saw Victor's antics, and then "said" by vibrating the air:

"Your Excellency, this is not a place for guests. Please go to my living room to discuss in detail. His Majesty Estes is also waiting there for the arrival of all the dragon-slaying warriors!"

After saying that, he even made an invitation gesture!

Are all legendary mages nowadays so humble? Come to pick up guests in person?

The archmage's actions made Victor frown slightly hesitantly.

"Your Excellency Felix has an elegant and easy-going personality. We have also been received by the Archmage. He is very friendly to all adventurers who can help the elves deal with the evil dragon."

Paladin John explained in a low voice.

The muscular man nodded, then followed the elf mage and walked into the portal.

*

What appeared behind the portal was a large circular study room. Densely packed books filled the bookshelves on all the walls. Looking up, the bookshelf was almost too high to reach your head...

"This is the Archmage's "Endless Study". Welcome, dragon-slaying warrior."

This very magnetic voice came from the center of the study. Victor lowered his head and looked

It was an elf wearing chain mail and two long swords at his waist.

His long golden hair was draped randomly on the back of his head, and his green pupils revealed his majesty. He held his helmet under his left arm and held his sword in his right hand. He puffed out his chest and spoke the above words in an passionate tone.

Even a hideous wound on his cheek could not hide his nobility.

"This is the Elf King Estes Sun Crown"

The paladin introduced in a low voice, but even the smallest voice would not be private in this kind of space.

"I have returned the crown to the Brilliant Temple. The corona that led the mist elves to decline is no longer worthy of sitting on the throne. I am just one of all the elven guards who are fighting the evil dragon on the front line!"

Estes corrected in a firm tone.

"His Majesty…"

A figure behind Estes shouted.

"I told you I'm no longer a king!"

"Of course, Your Majesty, but the news just came back from Your Highness Kate!"

"Kate? Where is she?"

Estes suddenly turned his head and stared at the person who spoke and asked.

Only then did Victor "see" the three figures hiding in the shadows:

A female wanderer wrapped in a cloak holding a dagger - she is huddled in the shadow of a bookshelf

A "scribe" holding a big book and a quill, wearing a light blue magic robe

There is also a druid wearing animal skin and holding a bone staff.

Perhaps the Elf King was so dazzling that he attracted everyone's attention in an instant. Even Victor didn't notice these people at first.

It was the clerk who just spoke

"News came from the depths of the Rotbone Swamp..."
