Chapter 82 Fa Conference, Life in a Small Courtyard

In the other courtyard, there are babies who can crawl and walk. They are very active and will occupy large areas of activity space crazily, making this small wing seem extremely cramped. Lu Zhengkang even suspected that he was living in a canned fish.

The old ladies couldn't control it, so they simply let it go. Therefore, Lu Zhengkang would sometimes be woken up by one or several children in his sleep. They would giggle and drool, and would laugh happily when they saw Lu Zhengkang staring.

The young body brings Lu Zhengkang different senses, so to be fair, he is not bored with these children. Seeing their smiles, Lu Zhengkang will feel the same joy from the bottom of his heart.

So he always has a smile on his face, a slight smile, very mature, and he doesn't look like a child at all.

The great monks from Shaolin would occasionally come to visit other courtyards, including the black bald donkey Jueguang. He was very impressed with Lu Zhengkang. After all, he took the child in personally. Every time he came, Lu Zhengkang smiled at him.

Kyoko became more and more fond of this little baby. He told several brothers and sisters that this baby had a predestined relationship with the Buddha and was born peaceful and happy. He might also have wisdom from his previous life and he would be a great talent.

No one objected to Chuo Guang's statement, and everyone could sense that Lu Zhengkang was unusual.

They would gather in front of Lu Zhengkang and watch him. His bald head was shiny and his breath was warm. At this time, Lu Zhengkang would close his eyes and ignore these adults.

The monks and the old ladies laughed loudly, chatted and laughed for a while, and then dispersed to take care of other children.

After visiting the children, he also told the monks who were guarding the other courtyard to be careful and not forget to practice. Eventually, they, the great monks, would leave in twos and threes.

Awakening is often the last to go.

He would walk up to Lu Zhengkang, and Lu Zhengkang would open his eyes and look at him with a smile.

At the end of autumn, when frost had accumulated on the ground, the monks once again came to visit the other courtyard.

This is almost the last visit this year. The monks will be very busy after winter. The temple will hold a water and land ceremony. Everyone needs to prepare carefully for a month or two. In addition to a large number of believers who will come, Shaolin will also invite

Righteous people from all over the world come to attend the meeting, and the entire Songshan area will be very lively. After the Dharma meeting, the monks will close the temple to practice, sit in meditation, run incense, perform martial arts, and practice martial arts. In short, they have no time to visit these babies.

The next time we come will be the Spring Festival. The old ladies have to go home, so the monk invites the lonely and helpless people in the villages and towns to come to other courtyards for gatherings. Firstly, they can help take care of the children, and secondly, everyone can join in the fun together.

Spread the Dharma of kindness.

The monks arrived in the afternoon and did not leave until the sun set in the evening. Chuoguang was still the last to leave. Before leaving, he even looked after Lu Zhengkang.

"The little boy is so spiritual!" said Lu Zhengkang's bald head. After the full moon, the old ladies shaved Lu Zhengkang's fetal hair. No new hair has grown yet, and his scalp is clean and soft.

The palm of Chuo Guang's hand was warm and dry, as rough as a piece of worn old cowhide, which made Lu Zhengkang's head itch.

The smile on his face widened and became a little silly.

Jueguang also laughed. He leaned close to Lu Zhengkang's little face and said softly: "Okay, good boy, grow up quickly. I will teach you martial arts. You have to know that fists are bigger than Buddhism. If martial arts is good, everyone must listen."

If your martial arts are good enough, my words will make sense!"

Lu Zhengkang nodded in approval. He was stunned for a moment, then he was elated, laughed, and walked away.

The water and land ceremony has begun.

The quiet Songshan Mountain is noisy today, with pedestrians everywhere. They are walking under the snow cover of pine forests and in front of the strange rocks and cliffs, enjoying themselves and enjoying the scenery, and the cheers are endless.

The meeting place was in the temple, and the gongs, drums, bells, and cymbals were tinkling incessantly. It was heard in the distance, and in the wind, it blew through the woods, mixed with waves of pines, and the sound of snowflakes shaking, becoming vague and gentle.

.

During the seven days and nights of the Dharma meeting, Lu Zhengkang also listened to the noise for seven days and nights.

At the end of the day, an old man's voice overshadowed the sound of instrumental music and the sound of wind and snow, and sounded far away, but it sounded like it was in his ears, "The meeting is over!"

The Water and Land Dharma Assembly was over, and the excitement of seven days and nights was bid farewell to two words.

For Lu Zhengkang, he felt a little uncomfortable after hearing the sound for so long and now suddenly couldn't hear it anymore.

He was already able to walk, so he often walked past the children to the window to watch the snow scene on a sunny day.

The scenery outside the window is constantly changing, the snow is getting thicker and thicker, and after the winter solstice, the sun is getting higher day by day.

Unknowingly, the Spring Festival has arrived.

The old ladies congratulated each other one by one, and also congratulated the group of children who couldn't understand. Then they packed up their things and said, "Let's go during the Chinese New Year!" In this way, groups of people left in groups, leaving only the last ones behind.

A woman surnamed Li is a widow living alone, with no distant relatives or close neighbors. She plans to stay and attend the Spring Festival sutra gathering, listen to the monks' sermons, communicate with the same poor people, and of course, she has to take care of the children.

She was a little overwhelmed.

The children seemed to feel the joyful atmosphere of the New Year and were particularly active today.

They were shouting on the kang, and some couples even fought.

Lu Zhengkang would push them away, then hold up their plump chins one by one to shut them up.

I don’t know why, but this trick is surprisingly effective.

Later, these children would line up to let Lu Zhengkang hold his chin.

The woman surnamed Li smiled cheerfully and looked kind.

More than ninety men, women, and children living alone came to the Spring Festival Dharma Assembly. The monks called them donors, good believers, and laypeople, who were very peaceful and equal.

Seven monks came, all of whom were Zen masters and very knowledgeable in Buddhism.

The day before, monks came to the yard to set up a shed, set up tables and chairs, and built a fire pit. Now the believers took the initiative to go to the woodshed to get firewood to make a fire. The temperature was not low today and there was a slight breeze. It would be much more comfortable to have a fire pit.

It’s not that the room is too narrow, we should actually hold gatherings indoors.

Fortunately, those who have the strength to go up the mountain are in good health, and there are also older ones. They are devout believers and work hard to climb the mountain. When they get here, they are panting and may burp at any time, so they go indoors early to stay with the children.

Lu Zhengkang didn't like the stale smell of the elderly, and children were particularly sensitive to this smell. However, these old men and women were experienced and knew how to get along with children, and they were quickly recognized.

These babies taken in by the temple seem to be naturally cheerful and not afraid of strangers, perhaps because they have never suffered any ill will and the world is too gentle to them.

When all the children were surrounding the old man, Lu Zhengkang was still sitting by the window, looking very unique.

The old man greeted him, and Lu Zhengkang turned around and smiled.

Seeing this, gradually no one cared about Lu Zhengkang.

In the courtyard, devotees gathered around seven Zen masters, forming seven circles. The monks lectured in the circles, some of them taught the Heart Sutra, and some of them talked about the Buddhist worldview.

Lu Zhengkang curled his lips when he heard them say that there is Mount Sumeru in the center of the world, and was seen by a sharp-eyed monk.

The monk seemed to know that there was such a precocious child, so he pointed at him with feigned anger and said, "Child! You are smiling so much!"
