8. The coveting of the Slavs

Click——

After closing the door, Lu Li took off his hat and hung it on the clothes hanger next to the door.

The noise on the street was blocked out, and the deserted detective agency was like a veil of mist.

Whether the ocean or the night watchman were still too far away for Lu Li, he did not interfere too much and turned around and left after understanding the general situation.

Limited light pours into the detective agency from the window, even though it is daytime.

But Lu Li didn't care, this was just a temporary place to live, and Lu Li would change his residence sooner or later.

Not only because there is no electricity in Sailor Street, but also because of the view. After learning about the hidden dangers of the deep sea from Hades, Lu Li couldn't help but be prepared for the big poster, so a residence that can directly overlook the harbor became necessary.

Sitting back in the chair behind the desk, Lu Li loosened his tie and took out the paper sandwiched in the pages of the book in the drawer.

A line of writing is displayed above.

[Important: Know where you are]

Lu Li picked up the pen on the desk, supplemented the content at the back, and added new parts below.

[Important: Know where you are (complete) - collect 1,000 shillings and trade with Hades for more information]

[Important: Solve the ghost that haunts you]

[Secondary: Looking for a new place to live]

This has always been Lu Li's habit. He summarizes what he needs to do at the moment into a paragraph, records each part he completes, and then extends it downwards.

Lu Li can more intuitively know what he is doing, what he should do, and what he should do next.

The second point and the fourth point overlap to some extent, both require saving money.

However, being classified as a key point by Lu Li means that the second point has a higher priority.

Lu Li was not worried that Hades might lie to him or raise the price. Most exorcists would not be able to tell others such confidential information in the industry, especially since there would be hidden dangers.

So in every aspect, Hades is a very suitable partner - except for the fact that he is too greedy for money.

After writing the new content, Lu Li read it several times and put down the pen when there was no other part that needed to be added. He waited for the ink on the paper to dry before re-clipping the pages and putting them back in the drawer.

After doing all this, Lu Li stood up, rolled up his sleeves and walked into the kitchen. After a while, the sound of water running could be heard, which lasted for tens of seconds and then became quiet again.

Lu Li walked out of the kitchen, water droplets streaked across his angular face, condensed on his chin, and swayed down.

It was just morning, and there was still a long time before dark. After thinking about it, Lu Li picked up the phone and turned the roulette wheel to dial the number.

beep--

After waiting for a long time, the call was finally connected. A loud and shrewd voice squeezed into the phone: "This is the Slavic lady's apartment, who are you looking for?"

Just listening to the sound, one can imagine a barrel-waisted woman in a nightgown answering the phone with one hand on her hip.

"I'm looking for Oliver."

"Who are you, that kid? You must know that he owes me half a month's rent and hasn't paid you. If you don't want him to live on the street, you'd better hurry up -" the woman opposite started chattering.

Lu Li did not interrupt, and waited quietly for her to finish chatting, and said in a steady voice: "Then please give him the phone, and I will tell him about it. Also, there is a high chance that he will avoid you and not open the door.

, so you can say at the door that his new boss is looking for him."

The woman opened her mouth, but suddenly she didn't know what to say. She could only hum a few times in displeasure and asked Lu Li to wait while she went upstairs in her slippers.

Lu Li heard the sound of going upstairs and disappeared. He seemed to hear a faint sound of banging on the door. He listened carefully, but nothing came.

"Oliver! You bastard! I know you're in there, don't hide and keep silent. You already owe me more than ten days of rent!"

Bang bang bang bang bang!

"Oliver! Get out of here!"

The door shook and dust fell. The tenants in other rooms in the corridor cautiously opened a corner of the door, stuck their heads out, and looked at the angry lioness.

After all, the door was Mrs. Slav's property, and no matter how angry she was, she couldn't break the door. After a long time with no results, Mrs. Slav snorted coldly. Thinking of what the man said on the phone, she decided to give it a try.

"Oliver, a man who claims to be your new boss just called. He seems to have something important to do with you."

Mrs. Slavic was close to the door, and there seemed to be some vague movement coming from behind the door, but that was all, no one came out.

Mrs. Slavic said in a long voice: "Well, it seems that our little Oliver is not at home. It seems that I can only tell his new boss that your employee has decided to resign-"

"don't want!"

Suddenly there was an exclamation from behind the door, and a burst of rapid footsteps approached before the door opened.

"Wait a minute Mrs. Slav—"

The sound stopped suddenly, and the thin figure, who was only as tall as Mrs. Slav's chest, was pushed behind the door with a hand, followed by a burst of screams that made the other residents tremble.

After a moment of confusion, Oliver, with brown hair like a chicken coop and purple eye sockets, lost one of his shoes and limped forward.

Behind him is a Slavic lady moving her wrist as thick as Oliver's thigh.

Arriving on the first floor, Oliver picked up the phone and cried almost subconsciously: "Boss, are you trying to kill me..."

"Otherwise, how long do you want to hide? She is a good person, a hostess who allows residents to default on half a month's rent." Lu Li's voice came from the microphone.

Lu Li knew very well how chaotic the environment was in the early stages of industry, when capital was just emerging.

"snort!"

The Slavic lady holding her chest next to her sprayed out a ball of heat from her nose, thinking that there is a man who understands the tenderness of my heart.

Oliver didn't know what to answer, so he had to ask: "So, boss, what do you want from me?"

"Do you have any new commissions?"

"There are quite a few, but boss, were you looking for a client with a decent family background? I seem to remember a few." Hearing that the new boss was looking for a client with a decent family background, Oliver was stunned for a moment and made a mental note.

Tell Lu Li a few names.

In one case, a little boy in the family was possessed by a ghost.

"Possessed..."

Lu Li murmured these two words and tapped his fingers lightly on the table.

He originally wanted to find the kind of commission that "hears the sound of glass beads" and is not haunted, so that he can earn a commission fee without risk, but the reward for this kind of commission is very small, and the probability of being haunted is very high for the commission with higher reward.

The finger tapping stopped, and Lu Li decided to give it a try.

If there really is a ghost at work, he can escape before he gets entangled.

After making an agreement with Oliver to meet near the client's house, Lu Li hung up the phone.

"What's the name of your new boss?" A heavy breath came from above his head.

"Lu Li, his name is Lu Li." Oliver almost didn't want to sell his boss.

"Is he good-looking?"

Oliver's thin body trembled, and he vaguely guessed something, and said dryly: "I assure you, you will never find a more special man than him in the whole of Belfast."

Mrs. Slav's eyes gradually bloomed with a faint green light.
