75. Advance to the quarterfinals!

In seven minutes, the score was 22-26.

Watson must have been unable to keep up the pace when he went up. The Knicks, a group of physically fit men accumulated over many years of bad team, went crazy, but at least they didn't let the score go ahead. Watson had tried his best.

Although they don't like this teammate, Sun Ce and Curry don't want to let down their teammates' hard work.

It can be seen that Watson is not as strong as Douglas. Both of them are very comprehensive in skills but have no proficiency in immediate combat. They are the type of role players who are strong and core players. However, Douglas is superior in all aspects.

A little bit stronger.

However, in a competition of this level, this slight gap in strength has been made up for.

During the few minutes of rest off the court, Sun Ce, Curry and others were not idle. Through actual combat in the first quarter and watching the game in the first half of the second quarter, they gained a deeper understanding of the Knicks' poor defense.

With Watson, the opponent's style of play was brought back to a situation where they are used to running and fighting. The lineup of Sun Ce, Curry, Moreau, Randolph, and Hunter immediately slowed down the speed and caught the opponent off guard!

Passing has been upgraded to B-. Sun Ce is more confident in his passing. Confidence does not mean making a few blind passes, but it means being more confident and able to seize the opportunities he thinks are more confident.

In the last three minutes of the second quarter, the Warriors' five-on-five-down sudden rhythm caught the Knicks off guard!

After an 11-4 spurt, at halftime, the Warriors led the Knicks by 8 points 60-52 and entered the intermission!

With a teammate like Curry who can maintain a three-point shooting rate of more than 40%, it is too easy for Sun Ce to organize the offense. The defense in the summer league is mediocre to begin with. Due to multiple factors, Sun Ce scored 7 points and 6 assists in the half!

Originally, Sun Ce planned to score more breakthroughs before the start of the summer league. However, his goal changed to organizing offense to connect the team. Although it was a summer league, this method of organizing offense helped the team win.

Sun Ce likes the feeling of the ball very much.

And...after playing in the summer league, Sun Ce has become more self-aware of his own strength.

Except for breakthroughs, he is useless and relies entirely on passing to support the scene.

But relying on Sun Ce's speed and passing, relying on Curry and Morrow's three-pointers, relying on Randolph's physical fitness and pie-eating awareness, relying on Hunter to play low singles from time to time, and knowing the opponent's defense better.

After the problem, the Warriors suppressed the Knicks!

Originally, the Knicks' star strength advantage was not huge. The Warriors were getting better and better, and the Knicks' chaotic style of play gradually became unable to compete head-on with the Warriors.

In the third quarter, the pick-and-roll between Sun Ce and Randolph attracted the opponent to shrink. Curry seized the opportunity and scored 13 points in a single quarter. Randolph and Coby Carr, who came off the bench, scored 10 points together. The Warriors took advantage of this.

The score of 29 to 22 in a single quarter opened the point difference to 15 points in one fell swoop!

After three quarters, the Warriors led 89 to 74 heading into the interquarter break.

By this time, Booker, the head coach of the Knicks summer league, was no longer struggling. His overall performance was too far behind the opponent's, and the players' personal abilities were not enough to break the opponent's overall suppression. The opponent's offense was highly stable, and they were unable to counterattack.

It was useless to increase the speed. Instead, it only increased the number of offensive and defensive rounds, allowing the opponent to score 89 points in 30 minutes of game time.

Booker looked at the "three-point version of Alan Houston" that the team's head coach Mike D'Antoni was very optimistic about, and felt very melancholy!

D'Antoni could see Curry's talent during the trial, but he was not confident in himself because of his experiences in college. Although Curry did not participate in the Warriors' trial after arriving in Oakland, several players before the Warriors drafted him

The team went on trials with several teams after the Knicks. When he was in Los Angeles, he was spotted by Jerry West, the Warriors team consultant and chief member of the executive committee...

Now I see that Curry scored 7 three-pointers in three quarters, easily scored 25 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists to help the Warriors play a beautiful team offense, and then look at the insider who Curry did not choose... Booker feels very sad.

Very melancholy.

In the final quarter, the Knicks did not send out contracted players or drafted rookies, and used free agents for trial training to see if they could find any immediate combat power.

Obviously, it is rare to find a treasure in an undrafted draft, and the Knicks are not lucky enough to encounter it.

After the Warriors stopped struggling, Smart also replaced Watson, bringing teammates who did not have contracts and were not drafted rookies to play garbage time.

In the end, the Warriors defeated the Knicks 111 to 97, with a score difference of 14 points, winning the group stage and locking in the quarterfinals!

Sun Ce scored 9 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists, Curry scored 25 points, Randolph had 21 points and 11 rebounds, Hunter had 12 points and 5 rebounds, and Watson played 16 minutes and scored 17 points, which was also very efficient.

When the final whistle sounded, Sun Ce, Curry and others also stood up to celebrate with their teammates on the court. Of course they were happy to win. At least at this moment, as teammates on the same team, everyone forgot about the contract.

Celebrate together.

Except for Watson, he would not be happy if he won...

But at this time, Sun Ce was too lazy to deal with the stinking Watson. Besides winning, he had another happy thing!

"Congratulations to the host for completing the second stage of the D-level event Summer League Storm: bravely advancing to the finals. The reward: a D-level lottery card.

The third phase of the Summer League Storm: Dominating the Summer League has begun."

"Dominate the Summer League: Goal 1: Win the championship in this Summer League; Goal 2: Win the MVP of this Summer League; Goal 3: Win the MVP of this Summer League finals. Event rewards are based on comprehensive evaluation of event completion."

Sun Ce is very excited now. Although it is the summer league, his goal is to win the championship!

"Stephen, go ahead and kill him!"

"Why don't you catch up? Only then can you keep up with his speed."

"If I can kill him, will he still look for you? You are the No. 7 pick! You are a genius!"

"If I can kill him, will I still be the No. 7 pick? Even Evans and Harden can't kill him!"

"Hey..." Sun Ce was also depressed when he heard this: "Stephen, why are we so unlucky to meet them? It must be because of your bad character!"

"Yes, yes, I have a bad character, so I met you as a teammate. God, are you torturing me?" Curry looked up to the sky and sighed resentfully.

The day before yesterday, the Warriors' group of young players and free agents trying to win contracts were very excited to reach the quarterfinals. But yesterday, on the fourth and last day of the group stage, after the group stage was played, the Warriors were so surprised that they actually drew.
Chapter completed!
