Chapter 6 Cultural Differences

In the army, what kind of people are most suitable for survival?

First of all, no regular troops of any country will accept them, so bad people can be ruled out. But good people and good babies are also not suitable for the army.

Chen Bin never thought he was a good bird. After hearing the teasing of Instructor Laura, he immediately responded without hesitation. He didn't say "Your old face makes me feel disgusted" and it was already Chen Bin's words...

"Yo yell~ It seems that our facial paralysis baby is still very energetic~"

Of course, after this sentence was expressed, what was waiting for Chen Bin was a more violent impact. The high-pressure water column hit his body, as if he was about to press his raised upper limb back to the ground.

But Chen Bin knew that once his upper body returned to the ground, he would be more severe punishment.

Isn't that the army?

The routines are all that routine. The instructors attack the soldiers, not really wanting to insult you, but through spiritual and verbal stimulation, they eliminate a group of people whose psychological qualities are not up to standard and are easily affected by the words of others.

Secondly, in the face of Chen Bin's retort, Instructor Laura smiled very happily. Because this shows that the trainee is very ok in both mental state and physical strength! He is a good seedling!

Good seedlings naturally need more beats... Then Instructor Laura tightened the outlet of the water belt and artificially increased the water pressure...

What a great show of love and killing each other!

If the incomprehensible American humor among these people becomes "an old lady selling popsicles at the door", Chen Bin even enjoys this feeling. Just like when he first joined the army, he was teased by veterans to compete for push-ups...

The veteran made three, and Chen Bin made one... In less than twenty minutes, Chen Bin was exhausted, but his weak physical fitness was also trained in the process of repeatedly lying down and supporting him.

"Everyone stands up! Target beach, run and walk!"

About half an hour later, when most of the participants were almost exhausted, the instructors' roars rang again.

Another old routine...

"Hey, Chris, can you still stand it?"

For the training of the SEALs, drowning prevention training is the focus of the subject of basic underwater removal. In addition to being tied up and thrown into a 2.7-meter-deep pool to complete specific actions, it is also a common subject to receive the baptism of cold sea water by the beach.

Even compared to being thrown into the pool, the instructors' "devil surfing" appears more frequently. After all, Colorado is a coastal city, and you can run by the beach. Then a group of people walk into the sea, sit in a row, waiting for the waves to rush on them...

"Of course, I can! I'm a shepherd dog. Huh, this problem is not a big deal!"

While gasping for breath, Chris squeezed out a smile and responded to Chen Bin. Then, the two followed the queue and ran towards the beach...

This damn cultural difference...

If you say someone is a dog in China, you must be swearing. But in the United States, this seems to be the opposite... For Americans, dogs are a loyal animal. If you say someone is a dog, it is a special meow.

For example, Chris now proudly said that he was a shepherd dog. Chen Bin knew that this was the result of Chris's father's education since childhood. Chris' father once taught him:

There are three types of people in the world, sheep, wolf and sheepdog!

Sheep refer to people who are in the face of violence and do not dare to resist and have no ability to attack; wolves refer to people who have attack power and like to oppress sheep; while sheepdogs are heroes who have attack power but have been trying to protect the flock of sheep...

Chen Bin couldn't say whether such education was right or wrong, but in terms of personal feelings, Chris, an old white man, is really good to be friends.

As an Asian, it is impossible to say that he has not been discriminated against in the United States, especially in the US military. But now Chen Bin can live so peacefully, largely because of Chris...

Someone had provoked Chen Bin a week ago, but before Chen Bin could do it, Chris rolled up his sleeves and rushed forward. It was true that people didn't talk much...

Then the two of them exchanged three days of confinement for this comfortable time...

Back to the topic, after running a few kilometers along the beach, the group walked into the cold sea under the command of the instructor. Then, under the slap of the waves, the training day ended.

Of course, there are naturally conversations that Chen Bin cannot understand...

For example, instructor Ferred said to a black man:

"Di! Why are you still in my team? Do you still want to try to pass? Everyone knows that black people are not good at swimming!"

The black soldier's answer was:

"It's okay, sir! I'm not a black man! I'm a new black man!"

"We ran slowly, jumped low, swam well, and went to Gap to buy clothes. I could still wet the white brother's wife by them..."

Who can tell Chen Bin what the hell is this Gap? A shopping mall or a clothing brand?

However, except for these little jokes that are made due to different cultures or are not adapted to, Chen Bin felt quite fulfilled after the entire training.

The training cycle of the Navy SEALs is very long, with five weeks of training or transitional stages at the beginning. Then the basic training now lasts about eight weeks. In the fourth week of the training, Chen Bin was also fortunate to experience the infamous "Devil Week".

During the five days and five nights, he could only sleep for up to four hours, and he had to undergo high-intensity physical and boat operation training every day. Most of the participants were eliminated at this level, including the white man who had previously challenged Chen Bin.

The bells that gave up the training qualification of the Navy SEALs were heard everywhere. At that time, there were fewer and fewer people in the open space. But this is not over yet. After eight weeks of basic training, there were eight weeks of scuba training, that is, training for subjects such as diving, underwater infiltration, etc.

Is this over?

Of course not. You should know that the Navy SEALs are a combat brigade known as the all-round versus sea, land and air. Five months later, there will be two months of land combat training.

At this stage, Chen Bin and others will learn skills including intelligence collection, long-distance reconnaissance, patrol, close-range combat, building infiltration and rushing, as well as vehicle driving, dagger use, fighting, hand, rifle shooting, etc.

By the end of the training, Chen Bin had an inverted V sewn on his collar. This is the rank of the US Private Army. Among the US military, the private stage will only last for up to six months, and the rank will be cancelled after completing the training of the recruits. But it is obvious that for the Navy Seals, six months are not enough for basic training...

After these seven months, those who have not been eliminated will also go to Fort Benning Army Airborne School in Georgia or the Ottemesa Air Force Technical Operations Center in California for a month-long parachute training.

During this transition, Chen Bin and others also ushered in their first holiday...
