Section 10 Under the Five Elements Mountain

Wanghai Bodhisattva led the four Vajras to chase westward. Sure enough, after chasing for hundreds of miles, he saw Xuanzang riding a white horse alone, which made everyone breathe a sigh of relief.

The four Vajras were about to come forward to say hello to Xuanzang, but they heard the Bodhisattva Wanghai say, "Strange, since it is said that Yun Xiang saved him, why is Xuanzang the only one?"

The four great Vajras explored around and shook their heads and said, "Sure enough, there is no trace of Yun Xiang. I don't know where he has gone. Bodhisattva, please go down here and protect Xuanzang and travel west together."

Wang Hai shook his head and said, "Yun Xiang is so elusive that it really makes people suspicious. You don't need to go down, and you can follow behind to protect him secretly. Once something happens, you can respond more. I will go back and report to the Buddha."

The four great Vajras all claimed that they were, and hid themselves and followed behind them, while the sea turned into escape light and disappeared into the sky.

When she heard that Yun Xiang appeared again, she felt more and more uneasy. Looking back, such a big incident happened in Shuangcha Village, but in the end it did not cause any consequences. Instead, Dongtian lost dozens of sword cultivators in vain, causing Futang to suffer heavy losses. All this was really like Yun Xiang's work, and she couldn't help but be suspicious.

Xuanzang's journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures is still long, and there are still many similar traps to be seen. What she has to do now is to report everything to the Buddha Donglai and discuss a solution again.

Xuanzang knew nothing about the intrigues of these gods. After Yun Xiang rescued him from Shuangcha Village, he just focused on his journey to the west.

The next journey was completely unstoppable. After walking for nearly half a month, I was blocked by a mountain.

Although this mountain is not high, it occupies a large area. If you walk around the mountain, you may have to travel hundreds of miles. It is better to just cross the mountain and come close to it. I am afraid that there will be some monsters and monsters in the mountain, but you will look far away.

Xuanzang looked at the mountain and was undecided, but when he saw a woodcutter walking towards him, he was overjoyed and hurried forward and said, "Donor, I am polite."

The woodcutter seemed to be a Buddhist worshiper, so he did not dare to neglect. He quickly returned the courtesy and said, "The master saw that he had come from afar. I wonder what's important?"

Xuanzang pointed to the mountain ahead and asked, "I want to go to the west to worship Buddha and pray for scriptures. He deliberately crossed this mountain and walked, but I don't know what the mountain is called? What are the dangers in the mountain?"

The woodcutter said, "The master doesn't know that this mountain is called the Five Elements Mountain, which is the border between the Tang Dynasty and the Western Regions, so it is called the Two Realms Mountain. I once heard the old man in the village say that this mountain fell from the sky five hundred years ago, and I don't know whether it is true or false. If the master asks about the dangers in this mountain, it will not be explained in just a few words."

Xuanzang was shocked when he heard this and said, "Is there really any danger in this mountain?"

The woodcutter smiled and said, "This is a danger, and it is not true. It only depends on whether the master believes it or not."

Xuanzang said strangely: "What does this mean?"

The woodcutter said: "Since ancient legend, there is a demon in this mountain that often turns into a evil dragon or a tiger to do evil. If someone passes through this mountain, he will be eaten by the demon. It is really awesome."

Xuanzang said in shock: "There are such demons that are causing trouble? Then the people nearby are extremely dangerous?"

The woodcutter laughed and said, "Master, don't worry, these rumors are actually what the old people say. I have often sneaked into the mountains with people since I was a child. I have never encountered any evil dragons and tigers. Instead, I have caught some pheasants and hares from time to time to help my mother repair my body. Over the years, the young people in the village no longer care about it. They hunted firewood all day long, but nothing happened. In my opinion, the rumors of the old people are just tricks to scare children, and no one has believed them now."

When Xuanzang heard this, he breathed a sigh of relief and said, "So that's it. There are always rumors in the world. The so-called rumors are more powerful than tigers. It seems that this mountain has also been criticized for this."

The woodcutter nodded and said, "That's true. The master saw that he was a powerful Buddhist. He naturally wouldn't be afraid of these mere rumors. If you want to cross the mountain, just walk. Just walk faster and maybe you can pass before dark."

Xuanzang was overjoyed and hurriedly politely and said, "Thank you for your advice from the donor, I will go into the mountain." After that, he led the white horse and walked towards the Five Elements Mountain.

Walking all the way to the foot of the mountain, Xuanzang found a relatively slow place to climb the mountain, but suddenly a sharp voice came from his ears and said, "Is the person coming from Monk Xuanzang?"

Xuanzang was shocked and looked around quickly, but no one was seen. Only those strange rocks, plants and trees were shady. The mountain wind blew by, and he immediately lowered his head and laughed: "I think my Buddhist disciple was also disturbed by the rumors of the villagers. When he heard some sounds, he would be suspicious. It was a sin."

After saying that, he stopped thinking about it. Just as he was about to climb the mountain again, he heard the voice coming again: "You monk, you are so rude. Lao Sun asked you, why don't you answer?"

This time, Xuanzang heard it sincerely, was shocked and said quickly: "I am Xuanzang, who are you? Could it be the devil in this mountain?"

The voice said, "It's nonsense. Lao Sun is not a devil. He doesn't change his name or his surname. I am the Great Saint of the Monkey King. Have you ever heard of it?"

Xuanzang said: "It turns out that the donor is called Sun Wukong. I am ignorant and have never heard of it. I also asked the donor to forgive me. I just don't know where the donor is now? Why did I only hear the sound but not see the person?"

The voice said, "Lao Sun is now in a secret place. If you want to see me, it will not be difficult. Lao Sun will give you some advice. Walk fifty steps to the left and see what is under your feet?"

Xuanzang was curious, so he walked fifty steps to the left as he spoke, but saw a cave in the rocks, which was pitch black all the way down, and he didn't know where to go.

He hurriedly shouted into the cave, "Donald Sun, are you in this cave?"

Sure enough, the familiar voice came from the cave and said, "That's right, Monk Xuanzang, if you want to see me, just go into the cave."

Xuanzang frowned, stared at the entrance of the cave for a while, but a little chilled in his heart, and said, "Donor Sun, you live in such a secret place. I think you like quietness by nature. Since this is the case, I am not convenient for me to disturb you. May the donor increase his blessings and wisdom, and be lucky and free. I will say goodbye."

After saying that, he actually pulled up the white horse and turned around and left. The cave was obviously not a good place. Sun Wukong, who lived inside, was probably not a good person. After experiencing the affairs of Old Man Zhang, he also knew that he could distinguish between good and evil in human hearts and was unwilling to have anything to do with such people anymore.

The people in the cave noticed that Xuanzang was unwilling to enter the cave, and they were very surprised and hurriedly said, "Monkey Xuanzang, why don't you come into the cave to meet me?"

Xuanzang said: "Good, good, everything has its own destiny. If the donor is destined to me, he will have his own day of meeting him. If he is not destined to be destined, it will be useless if I enter the cave." As he spoke, the steps under his feet became faster and faster.

The man in the cave sighed, "Monkey Xuanzang, someone asked me to wait for you here, saying that you would come into the cave to see me, and asked me to guarantee you to go west to obtain the scriptures. Now it seems that you are just a timid person, so it's better not to see you."

Xuanzang was stunned, stopped and said strangely: "Who are you talking about?"

The man smiled and said, "That man is one of my best friends, and his name is Yunxiang, do you know?"

"Mr. Yun?" Xuanzang thought for a while, turned around and walked back, and said to the entrance of the cave: "Is Mr. Yun really asking you to wait for me?"

The man said, "You are a timid monk, why should I lie to you?"

Xuanzang gritted his teeth and said, "Well, since it is Mr. Yun's order, it's okay for me to go in and see you." After that, he found a wooden stake and tied the white horse, held the nine-ring tin staff in both hands to enhance his courage, and walked carefully towards the cave.
