Section 70 Acceptance
Bajie took the stack of pancakes from Bai Jingjing's hand, and after a brief investigation, he found no clues. He praised: "Miss is really a good craft. This pancake is delicious and glutinous, and the old pig has never seen it before."
Bai Jingjing said: "I wanted to invite you to my house, but my family was poor and it was not convenient to receive all the monks. Only the method of making this pancake was learned by my mother from the Niangniang Temple in her hometown. I think all the masters should not dislike it."
Bajie nodded, held the pancake and returned to Xuanzang, saying, "Master, this girl is kind enough. She gave us a stack of pancakes. The mountains are wet and cold at night, so you can always eat some hot things to warm up first."
Xuanzang looked up, but saw a kind smile on Bai Jingjing's face and he nodded in agreement. Unexpectedly, Sha Seng suddenly flashed and blocked him, saying, "Second Brother, I'm afraid this matter is a bit inappropriate, right?"
Bajie frowned and said, "Junior Brother Sha, what's wrong with the girl's house bringing us some food?"
As a rolling general in the Heavenly Court, Sha Seng was working in the supervision department of the barefoot immortal. He was also very experienced in his behavior. At this time, he could already faintly notice that the village girl seemed to be inappropriate, and said, "Second Brother, the passerby in the mountains, has no roots and no source, how can we accept the food she gave her at will? Now that the eldest brother is not here, if the master has a good time, you can't afford to eat it. If the master wants to eat something hot, I will just make a fire and roast the dry food. As for this pancake, you should enjoy it alone."
When Bajie heard this, he immediately said unhappy: "Junior Brother Sha, if we keep Miss Bai from thousands of miles away, I'm afraid Yu Li is not incompatible?"
Sha Seng still shook his head and said, "It's not a question of how etiquette we met by chance."
When Xuanzang saw the two of them having an argument, he said, "Forget it, Bajie, Wujing has a good intention, you don't have to blame him. Just give this food to Miss Bai. Just thank me for your kindness."
Bajie was still about to argue, but saw Bai Jingjing rushing forward and regaining the pancake. He said angrily: "Little girl has a lot of thoughts, but the masters don't know the good people's hearts. I'm too lazy to talk to you more nonsense, so I'll go and send food to my father."
After saying that, she turned around and left, leaving everyone standing there.
Bai Jingjing's move to retreat as a step forward made Sha Seng feel a little regretful, thinking that he was suspicious, while Bajie started to mutter indignation, but he was already guessing what medicine was selling in Bai Jingjing's gourd.
Sha Seng picked up some dry firewood everywhere. He was about to raise the fire to bake dry food with Xuanzang, but he heard footsteps in the jungle again. He thought that Bai Jingjing had turned back again, so he quickly looked back with Bajie, but saw a trembling old woman coming over.
Bajie's heart moved, and he hurriedly walked forward and saluted to the old woman, "Mother-in-law, I am a polite monk Zhu Bajie."
The old woman seemed to have a little blurry eyes, so she leaned closer and looked at Bajie carefully, and then said in surprise: "You are so scary like this. Are you also a monk?"
Bajie said: "Our masters and disciples are all monks from the Tang Dynasty. Just stay overnight in the mountains. Don't judge people by their appearance."
The old woman was charitable and politely said, "In this way, the old woman was rude and had seen several wizards."
Xuanzang also came over at this time and said, "Grandma, I wonder if you always come to this deep mountain alone, but what's the point?"
The old woman said, "I dare not hide it from all the mages. The old woman's husband's surname is Bai. She lives in this deep mountain. She is here to find my daughter. She said she would send some food to her father, but she has not come back for a long time. The old woman was afraid that something would happen to her, so she could only come to find her alone. I wonder if the mages have seen her before?"
Xuanzang hurriedly said that he had seen it, and pointed Bai Jingjing away at the old woman, and then watched her leave tremblingly.
Bajie smiled at Sha Seng and said, "Junior Brother Sha, you said that the girl had no roots and no source before, but now the roots have arrived. Could it be that you think this poor old woman is wrong?"
Sha Seng thought about it carefully, but couldn't think of any special aura on the two of them, so he could only smile bitterly and said, "Second Brother, I'm afraid I'm too cautious this time, I hope you don't blame me."
Bajie groaned and said, "What else can I blame? The white girl was kind enough to deliver food, but she ran away after you said something. If you blame her, it is the only way for her to blame you."
Sha Seng didn't dare to say anything more, so he had to lower his head and make a fire honestly.
After a bonfire was raised, Sha Seng put the dry food on and baked it for a long time. It was a little hot, but it was a little too dry. After Xuanzang took a bite, he was choked and coughed repeatedly, so he refused to eat it again, which naturally made Sha Seng scold him again after taking Bajie.
At this moment, I suddenly heard a light cough coming from afar. Everyone hurriedly looked at the sound, but saw three figures slowly coming. Two of them were Bai Jingjing and his son. The one that appeared was an old farmer in his sixties. It was undoubtedly Bai Jingjing's father.
At this time, everyone had no doubts about the three members of the Bai family. Xuanzang quickly stood up and politely said to the three of them, "Good, good, I have seen three donors, and the three of Miss Bai's family are reunited, which is really a happy congratulations."
The three of the Bai family were reasonable and quickly returned the greeting to Xuanzang. However, Bai Jingjing was still a little angry and stared at Sha Seng and refused to speak. However, the father-in-law Bai said, "I heard my daughter mention the monks from the Tang Dynasty before, which made the old man admire him very much, so I came to visit him. The girl grew up in the mountains and fields and was arrogant. If she had any offense, I hope the monk would not blame him."
Xuanzang hurriedly said, "Miss Bai is kind-hearted and decent. But I am ashamed to offend me in my words."
Mr. Bai smiled and said, "I heard that the monks and disciples walked through this mountain. The old man was poor and could not entertain him. The little girl just sent some food and was willing to give it to the monk to enjoy. This also fulfilled my family's desire for Buddha."
After saying that, he gently pushed Bai Jingjing and saw that she handed the bamboo basket up with a grievance.
Xuanzang quickly refused: "This food is for my father-in-law. If the monk and his disciple eat it, wouldn't my father-in-law's family go hungry?"
Bai Lao said, "The monk is too worried. Although the young man is poor, he still has no problem eating a meal. Please don't refuse."
At this time, even Sha Seng had no reason to refuse. Seeing Xuanzang nodding slightly, Bajie took the bamboo basket and rushed to say, "Since that's the case, I thanked my father. My master had been on the way for a whole day and was already hungry. My father-in-law's hot meal is a timely help."
As he said that, he took some pancakes from the basket and handed them to Xuanzang and Sha Seng, grabbed another handful and prepared to eat by himself. But after thinking about it, he picked up a few more pieces and handed them to the White Dragon Horse, saying, "White Dragon Horse, I've driven a lot of roads with my master today. I guess you're exhausted too. We can't enjoy such good things alone, so we naturally have to share some of them."
Xuanzang knew that the white dragon horse was a dragon body, so he nodded and said, "Bajie's actions are very consistent with the teacher."
Bailongma did not refuse, and opened his mouth and swallowed a few pancakes into his mouth and chewed them carefully. For a moment, the master and apprentice all started to eat fresh food with relish.
