Chapter 132: The White Grave (Part 2)(1/2)

The old man looks so much like Dumbledore.

This caused many people at the scene to stand up and start looking over there.

Some people even shouted Dumbledore's name excitedly.

Unfortunately, when the old man finally arrived at the scene, everyone discovered that he was not Dumbledore.

It was Dumbledore's younger brother, Aberforth.

In his hand, he also held a portrait covered with thick cloth.

He followed the path Hagrid had just walked, and slowly arrived in front of John, holding the portrait under the silent gaze of everyone.

"This painting was kept with me after he found someone to finish it during his lifetime." Aberforth's voice was hoarse and difficult. "He asked me to send this painting to Huozhou at his funeral.

Gwartz."

After saying that, Aberforth stuffed the painting into John's arms, then took a few steps back and stared blankly at Dumbledore's body.

Under everyone's gaze, John lifted the thick cloth.

The true face of the portrait was revealed in front of everyone, once again triggering a series of exclamations from the crowd.

Because although Dumbledore in the portrait is wearing a satin robe, a gold silk hat, and his long white beard tied into a bunch, his expression also reveals a serious meaning.

But what he used to tie his beard was a small, pink bow.

The most important thing is that this pink and tender trinket does not feel out of place on such a serious Dumbledore.

This made everyone present feel very strange.

"Oh - there are so many people!"

Dumbledore in the portrait exclaimed, "These are all here to attend my funeral?"

No one answered Dumbledore's words, everyone was still staring at the pink bow.

Dumbledore in the portrait also looked down at everyone's gaze.

Then, he flicked the bow and said:

"Well, I know, many people have advised me not to do this, including Minerva and Severus.

My dear brother Aberforth even thought that if I insisted on wearing this bow, the subsequent headmaster would definitely throw it out of the headmaster's office because my portrait was not serious enough and ruined the atmosphere of Hogwarts.

But I did it anyway because I think this bow is really beautiful.

John, what do you think?"

John's throat started to sting again.

He took a deep breath and said:

"very beautiful!"

"The subsequent principals won't throw me out of the principal's office, right?"

Dumbledore asked somewhat uneasily.

This time, it's not just John.

Everyone present shouted loudly:

"Absolutely not-"

Many people's eyes turned red after they finished shouting.

Some people even said viciously while sobbing.

If someone dared to throw Dumbledore's portrait out of the Headmaster's Office, he would throw that person out of Hogwarts too!

But unlike everyone who is sad.

Dumbledore in the portrait was extremely happy when he heard this.

He stretched his neck, looked at his body, and then asked with a smile:

"John, can you let me preside over my own funeral? I've been fantasizing about this for a long time. It must be very cool! George and Fred should understand this, right?"

George and Fred, who were wearing black suits and had red and swollen eyes, stood up immediately after hearing this.

They cheered loudly and praised Dumbledore as the greatest prankster of this century. Compared with Dumbledore, they were nothing!

Their voices were excited and full of admiration, and their tone was a little funny.

But as they spoke, the tears on their faces could not be stopped.

Dumbledore smiled and waved to George and Fred, accepting the title of 'King of Pranks' with great honor, and then looked at John again.

"As you wish, Professor Dumbledore."

John said in a somewhat hoarse voice.

Then he threw away the parchment, held Dumbledore's portrait, and turned towards everyone.

"Cough cough cough——"

Dumbledore in the portrait deliberately coughed a few times while putting on a serious expression.

This made other people present couldn't help but quiet down and looked at him seriously.

But then, Dumbledore in the portrait showed a bright smile again.

He opened his arms and said:

"Welcome! Everyone! Welcome to my funeral! Before the official burial, I want to say a few words. That is - 'Idiot! Crying nose! Residue! Screw!' Thank you everyone!"

After saying this, Dumbledore smiled and raised his right hand, making a V-shaped gesture representing victory to everyone.

The crowd suddenly became excited.

Almost everyone stood up, applauded, and laughed loudly.

Michelle, Harry and others were laughing from ear to ear.

Even John, who was holding Dumbledore's portrait, couldn't help but laugh.

Of course he remembered that those incomprehensible words were exactly what Dumbledore said after John and others attended the sorting ceremony for the first time.

But John never expected that Dumbledore would say it again at his funeral.

This is really... so interesting!

Really worthy of Dumbledore!

John laughed loudly.

But soon John's laughter turned into sobs, and then, when he saw Dumbledore tied with a bow and making a V-sign in the portrait again, he couldn't help laughing...

Most of the others on the field had the same reaction.

Everyone cried sometimes and laughed sometimes, like a group of lunatics who had been severely cursed with a [Confusion Curse].

Only Dumbledore in the portrait looked happy.

He was very satisfied with this prank.

Because it temporarily washed away the sadness of the scene.

Laughter and happiness were the things Dumbledore valued most.

Especially the children's laughter, he never gets tired of it.

This is why Dumbledore told John to bury him in Hogwarts.

In this way, he can hear the laughter of those children after death.

Even if there were naughty children like George and Fred playing on his grave, Dumbledore would never want anyone to come and stop their reckless behavior.

Because to him, this is an excellent view.

His lifelong efforts are to enable children to grow up healthy, happy and carefree with laughter.

"boom--"

Dazzling white flames burst out from around Dumbledore's body and the table.

The flames jumped higher and higher, covering the body.

White smoke birds rose into the sky, showing various strange shapes.

For a moment, John seemed to see a phoenix flying happily into the blue sky.

But then, the flames disappeared.

A white marble tomb appeared there, enclosing Dumbledore's body and the table on which it was placed.

The funeral is over.

Dumbledore's portrait was escorted by a group of Hogwarts students to Hogwarts Castle.

The next headmaster of Hogwarts will be Professor McGonagall.

This is not the final decision made by Dumbledore, nor is it the result of fierce competition.
