Chapter 5: Exploring New Worlds

Duncan's whereabouts were monitored from the moment he walked out of the Umbrella Company headquarters building, so he never dared to let go.

In a world destined to lose order, his bottom line has dropped again and again. If he can achieve his goal, Duncan doesn't mind doing things in the "most efficient" way.

To put it simply, it means regardless of the consequences, regardless of the subsequent impact of the incident.

The easiest way to stop a home invasion is to blow up the house. The best way to stop the Umbrella Corporation from doing evil is to blow them up. Drop a nuclear bomb at all the Umbrella underground bases around the world and blow them up completely. Then

No need to worry about biohazards anymore.

Six modified SUVs and a box truck drove out of the Umbrella Security Company's campus. In addition to these vehicles, a helicopter with the Umbrella logo also rose in the sky, and Duncan was sitting on the helicopter watching.

Looking at the shrinking city below.

Soon after, the helicopter arrived at the warehouse rented by Susan.

Following Duncan's request, Susan rented a factory building of several hundred square meters in a relatively remote area on the outskirts of Raccoon City to use as a warehouse.

There is a large open space outside the warehouse, which is just right for helicopters to take off and land.

The beautiful blonde girl who was enjoying the cool air in the warehouse heard the sound of the helicopter and walked out of the warehouse to greet her.

Duncan stepped off the helicopter, and with him came four members of the Umbrella Company's security force. They were wearing full tactical equipment and holding TAR-21 assault rifles. When viewed from a distance, they gave people a murderous look.

The helicopter stalled and the pilot stayed on the plane, waiting for orders from the tower or Duncan.

Susan, who was standing at the door, was shocked by the momentum of the four people led by Duncan. She was stunned on the spot and was at a loss. She didn't come back to her senses until Duncan came to her side.

"Boss, this is the key to the warehouse. Do you want me to take you in to take a look?"

Susan did her job conscientiously, as if she was afraid that Duncan would fire her if she didn't do well.

After renting the warehouse, Susan had already visited the warehouse so that she could introduce her to the boss when he came.

After receiving the large bunch of heavy keys, Duncan weighed them and put them into his pocket. Then he pointed to the warehouse and said, "Take me to see them."

The interior of the warehouse is very simple, with an empty hall, a few crawler loading and unloading machines and a pile of debris piled in the corner, a few empty rooms, and an office.

There is also a backup power supply system in the basement, the facilities and equipment are complete, and most importantly, there are no annoying cameras here!

"Susan, you did a good job. Now go to KFC and buy 20 Family Buckets for me!"

After seeing the satisfactory warehouse, Duncan found a reason and sent the female secretary away who had a resentful look in her eyes.

In the huge empty warehouse, there were only four armed security guards standing face to face with him.

Among the four security team members, all were white, blond, tall, and looked even more majestic after wearing combat uniforms, but their eyes were full of curiosity.

When they left the park, the order they received was just to follow the instructions of Duncan shareholders, get on the helicopter, and arrive at this place. They still didn't understand what they were supposed to do.

It's impossible to accompany this major shareholder to pretend to be 13, right?

"Please introduce yourselves, your name, resume, and the purpose of joining the company."

Duncan stood in front of the four people and looked around. The people he wanted from the umbrella were not very trustworthy, but he didn't have much choice now.

Time is precious, and it's worth taking some risks in exchange for a bright future.

After the four security guards looked at each other, the person on the far left began to introduce themselves.

"Rob Smith, served in the US Army...I came to the company to realize my self-worth!"

The first person had a serious expression and seemed to be telling the truth, but just listen to what he said.

"Buck Kane, served in the Army, of course he came to the company for the money."

The second person was obviously much more honest, and said with a smile in a matter-of-fact tone.

The third man's name is Kevin. He said the same as Buck, that he entered the company for money.

The last person's name was Snow. He shrugged and said, "I just do it for a job. Whatever the boss has to do, just tell me, I still have basic professional ethics."

After the introduction of the four people, they are not elites, and their abilities are only at the level of ordinary soldiers. Don't expect to find any super special forces homeless people in the security forces.

Duncan didn't have much expectations for the abilities of the four of them. Before the remaining men arrived, the four of them were the pioneers in exploring another world, so they had to confirm some things.

"Do you have any family?"

The four people were stunned for a moment, and the answers were unanimous. None of them were orphans. Buck was married and had a son, and the other three only had parents and siblings.

After hearing that they all had families, Duncan nodded and said seriously: "What I ask you to do next is full of uncertainty, and you may encounter danger and easily lose your life. Now I can tell you first, if you die in the mission

, your family can receive a pension of one million US dollars. If you do not lose your life, you can also receive rewards that ordinary people cannot imagine. How do you choose?"

Upon hearing the pie that Duncan drew, the four people's breaths froze, and then their expressions became serious.

They have to work at Umbrella for more than ten years to get a one million US dollar pension. This is already enough money for ordinary people to be willing to take risks.

Corresponding to this money is the risk of the mission in Duncan's mouth!

If they ask for a million dollars, the difficulty of the task will definitely not be low. Ignoring the "unimaginable reward", whether this million US dollars is worth their risk becomes the key to the problem.

"Boss, can you reveal the content of the mission?" The four of them thought for a moment, and finally Buck couldn't help but ask the question first.

After all, he is the only one among the four who has his own family, and he has more worries.

However, Duncan just shook his head and did not reveal the content of the mission.

There was another moment of silence.

In the end, Rob showed a wry smile and was the first to resist the temptation of money. He laughed and cursed: "Shet...this is really a lot of money! I'll join."

Someone took the lead, and the remaining three hesitantly agreed. Even Buck, who was originally hesitant, chose to accept the task.

The explanation given by Buck was, "With this money, my son does not need to sell his body for remuneration like I do."

"Okay!" Duncan was very satisfied with the four people's choices. After all, the world was about to be destroyed. If the four people didn't get on the same boat with him, they would end up being abandoned by the Umbrella Company. However, they could find a way out by hanging out with him.

The phantom of the door that had been lingering in front of him began to solidify. Duncan concentrated, turned his body, and attached the illusory door to the warehouse office door according to the usage method that appeared in his mind.

The attachment process is silent, and the originally ordinary office door will now become a door to another world as long as it is opened.

"Get ready. I suggest you load your weapons and put on the masks around your waist. I don't want to see something bad happen."

As Duncan spoke, he reached into his pocket and put a gas mask from Umbrella Security Company on his head.

The four of them looked around in confusion. It didn't look like there was any danger around them, but they were still infected by Duncan's serious words. They loaded their weapons and put on their masks.

Duncan put his hand on the doorknob and pressed it down gently. After pushing the door open, what he saw was no longer the original office, but a spacious road.

The sound of the car driving was clearly heard in the warehouse, causing all five people to widen their eyes in shock.

Even Duncan, who caused all this, was stunned by this scene, which was like a bug in the world.

"Go, four warriors, explore a new world. This is one of the rewards I give you." After regaining consciousness, Duncan stepped aside to let Rob and Buck see another world clearly.

The four people who were completely stunned looked at Duncan with a look that looked at a god. After hearing the order, the four people remembered their responsibilities again and slowly calmed down.

"Let's go!" Buck, the oldest, took over the temporary command, clenched the gun in his hand, and took the lead in stepping into the door of the new world.

The new world in the literal sense, they had arrived the moment they walked through the door.

The four of them walked through the door without any discomfort. The biggest feeling was like coming from an air-conditioned room to the hot outside world.

The first time they walked through the door, the four of them had the same reaction, which was to look back at themselves.

However, when they looked back, they did not see their boss. All they saw was an approaching car and the frightened expression of the black man in the car.
