Chapter 51 Departure
Unlike her cold appearance, Sharna's kiss was hot and suffocating.
Without caring about the opinions of the people around her, Sharna tilted her body weight little by little until she threw Gallo to the ground.
When Gallo fell backwards, he subconsciously hugged Sharna's petite body.
"I'm so scared... Gallo..."
Sharna murmured, and a vague voice sounded in Gallo's ears.
"Wha...what? What are you afraid of?"
Gallo looked confused and did not react at all to the changes in things.
He didn't expect Sharna to have such a reaction. Sharna's attack made Gallo's mind go blank.
Although he is handsome and tall, Gallo has never had a girlfriend because of his overly proud personality.
After all, he was just the son of a groom. Although he was lucky enough to become a Templar of Tire, and his old father also became the Lord's steward, this still did not affect Gallo's humble origins.
Gallo's arrogance was born of humility and is now merely overshadowed by his achievements.
He was born with a much more sensitive self-esteem than ordinary people. Gallo would never tolerate being ridiculed by others, so it can be said that he was so arrogant before he became a Templar.
As a native Bantha, Gallo is undoubtedly proud. But apparently this pride has gone too far.
Arrogance and incompetence mixed together become stupidity. No one would want to be friends with a stupid person.
However, Gallo always believed that he had some kind of talent. After becoming a Templar, Gallo finally found out what his talent was.
Gallo can show excellent understanding of all abilities related to death and destruction. This makes him the first genius among his batch of trainee knights to learn cruel strikes.
He once thought that he was really a genius. But his failure in the aura of courage ability reminded Gallo that the only thing he was good at was violence.
However, he was obsessed with the name of "genius" - everyone's boasting, admiration and jealousy nourished his already dry heart like rain, and Gallo began to truly gradually become stronger.
Relying on the recognition of others, Gallo finally found his own place of survival.
If you don't live in the spotlight, if you can't live shiningly, life has no value.
In order to keep his reputation as a "genius", Gallo worked ten times or even a hundred times harder.
What he is really good at is the wild force of blowing his enemies into pieces. But in order to prevent others from thinking that he is a warrior with no strength, Gallo does not show that he has such characteristics.
Whenever he learns a new ability that is not suitable for Gallo - such as the Seal of Valor or leadership skills, Gallo will practice it repeatedly in a place where no one is around. If the average knight apprentice prays three times a day
, then Gallo will pray at least thirty times.
Then, after mastering this ability through a lot of experience, Gallo will pretend that he has been out playing for a long time and just took the time to practice for a while and then easily learned this ability, in order to gain the admiration and envy of others.
.
Because of his distorted past experiences, Gallo was unable to understand that hard work would be respected.
In his mind, people are only divided into those with talent and those without talent.
Gallo knows it very well. Compared to Tyr, he is more suitable for Elsax. His nature is to kill and fight, and he seems to be born to be a believer in the Lord of Violence.
It is probably for this reason that Gallo is still only a bronze-level Templar.
The reason why Gallo must become a Templar of Tire is also because of his vanity.
In Bantha, which worships the sun, no god is greater than Tire. In the Bantha people's view, the Lord of Violence is just a weak god who was driven to the border by Tire. Gallo certainly thinks so too.
However, even if he achieved the reputation of "genius" among the trainee knights, he still did not have a girlfriend. But obviously, the reason for this has changed.
It's no longer because of Gallo's stupidity. It's because of his arrogance.
What makes Gallo happy is that someone finally started to say that he is arrogant. Hearing such a response actually makes Gallo happy. At least it can show that Gallo is a capable person.
Even if those female knights secretly expressed their love for him, they did not dare to confess their love to Gallo in the face of a man who could not be found every day.
According to Tire's teachings, once a woman proposes to a man or seeks love, she can no longer take the initiative to break up with him. Only in this way can it be called loyalty.
For Gallo, pretending is obviously more important than women, so he doesn't care about these details.
But this doesn't mean that he will resist a beautiful girl.
Sharna is petite and a typical half-elf beautiful girl.
She has a delicate face, a little baby fat on her cheeks, a wreath on her head, and long emerald green hair. Her beauty is beyond doubt. She is a person with real talents and deserves Gallo's respect.
But Gallo never thought she would make such a bold move——
Sharna sucked greedily, and Gallo could faintly see a bit of fear in her eyes.
Sharna, who was only about 1.6 meters tall, was curled up in Gallo's arms. Gallo, who was nearly 2 meters tall, looked at her stupidly like a dumb puppet bear. She had no idea what to do and could only hug her.
Sharna's back was stiff all over.
Duoduo's appearance kept passing before Gallo's eyes. Inexplicable guilt surged into his heart, diluting the fragrance of the hair color lingering on the tip of his nose.
But on the other hand, Sharna's kiss also sucked out the sadness trapped deep in Gallo's heart. The extreme sadness that made him unable to even cry gradually lost its intensity.
It lasted for more than a minute before Sharna gasped slightly and separated from Gallo's lips.
Although he is still sad, Gallo has calmed down now. He can think normally.
Sharna showed an innocent smile.
She stuck out her tongue and carefully licked away Gallo's tears, her eyes full of tenderness.
"Stop crying... Gallo."
She leaned into Gallo's ear, her voice was soft, and her eyes were as melancholy as lake water: "I feel bad."
"Sharna..."
Gallo looked at Sharna blankly.
"Gallo, I..."
Sharna was only halfway through her words when she saw Gallo's pupils shrink instantly. His shoulders and legs were tense at the same time, and the strong muscles made Sharna feel a little nervous.
The next moment, Gallo exerted his strength with both arms, and with a sudden spin, they instantly turned into a half-crouched position. Where they were before, a spear-like tail was nailed into the snow at about the position of their hearts.
On the ground.
Gallo then let go of Sharna. She only felt a figure passing by her with a gust of fishy wind, and a shrill squeak similar to that of a monkey came from behind her.
Sharna turned around and saw a monster creature like an ostrich with a tail and horns being knocked unconscious by Gallo's punch, and she felt a wave of fear in her heart.
Gallo raised his sword without thinking, stood up and pierced the assassin's heart, then cut off his throat.
Then, vague shadows floated around. Gallo felt that he was being locked by multiple eyes, and his heart suddenly beat in fear, and then a violent fire rose for no reason.
I want to tear these offal—I want to tear them all into pieces one by one!
But looking back at Sharna, he finally suppressed the flames.
"Sharna, let's retreat quickly! It's no longer safe here!"
Gallo wanted to carry Duoduo's body on his back, but he found that as soon as he turned back and took a step, the malice in those eyes became more and more obvious, and the premonition of imminent death made him break out in cold sweat on his back.
After just two steps, the sense of crisis in the air almost made him suffocate.
...We can only collect Duoduo's corpses later. I hope these monsters won't eat the corpses...
Although he knew that his expectations were nothing but delusions, Gallo was still timid.
He admitted that he was timid. He did not dare to have any kind of conflict with those unknown monsters.
Two consecutive days of fighting gave him a full understanding of which enemies he could defeat and which ones he couldn't defeat. If he could survive, this experience would be much more meaningful to him than the White Tower or something like that.
Gallo gritted his teeth, grabbed Sharna's hand without warning and rushed out.
After the two left, Duoduo's one eye suddenly opened.
He looked at the two people leaving and sighed deeply.
Then he stood up, struggling to stand up with his body that had lost all warmth under the completely ignored gazes of those monsters, and groped for his body fragments on the ground.
He is going to find His Highness Roland...
His intuition told him that Roland needed him now.
