5. Is this the moon?

If the gate of the moon base is not opened, Duda will not guess where it is.

At the foot of a crater hundreds of meters high, a huge rock slowly rose on the rough surface of the moon, revealing huge cracks that were so wide that they could hardly be seen. This way of opening was obviously exactly the same as the Earth's base, but it was almost magnified hundreds of times in terms of length, width and height. It is obvious who is the genuine and who is the pirated version.

The lunar rover drove into this magnificent gate, and Duda was attracted by the artificial light source on the ceiling. It was not the "light" he knew, and the entire ceiling emitted bright light like sunlight.

Visually measured height...

"How high is this?" Duda really couldn't combine this height with his own digital concept. The lunar rover was moving in this white world, like a little ant in a mansion.

"Two thousand six hundred and sixty-two meters." Tao Jiu knew it carefully, "more than three times the tallest building on the earth."

"What is this place..." Duda looked into the distance and saw only a vast white area. Then he realized that no matter the floor or the wall, it was a luminous body.

"Scientists speculate that it is the hangar where the Lunadomen parked large spacecraft." Tao Jiu said, "It is also the only passage we have to enter the interior of the moon."

Duda's mind was blank, and he said after a long time: "So, there should be someone walking through the path. Haven't you found it?"

"Americans have been studying for forty years, Russians have been studying forth forth thirty years, and we have been studying for ten years," Tao Jiu put his finger on his finger. "The only thing he can do is to open the door to this base, open the artificial gravity field, run the elevator, and make pure water, that's all."

"There are also lights on." Duda comforted her.

"These lights are on when humans come in." Tao Jiu was a little helpless.

"Hasn't the Lunar Man's gravity control been applied to the shuttle?" Duda remembered that kind of sci-fi shuttle.

"That's just a toy for the moon people," Tao Jiu said helplessly, "you'll find out soon."

The rover finally reached the top of the hangar after a two-hour long journey.

There are obvious elevators for people to use. Just like this hangar, the elevator is also very magnificent. The entire car is nearly five meters high and is more than 500 square meters. After the metal door of the elevator is closed, the entire car trembles slightly, as if it is prohibited, making people unable to feel any changes in gravity. At the same time, it has the function of an air compartment, and unlike the air compartment of the shuttle machine, the air pressure regulation and oxygen injection here are not moving at all.

If it weren't for the instrument display on the spacesuit, Duda wouldn't know that he could take off his helmet.

The only thing that proves that it is falling is the wall with green descending arrows.

Five minutes later, the elevator trembled slightly again, and a pleasant beep sounded, opening the door.

This is the moon!

Du Da followed Yang Xi out of the elevator and took a sip of the air inside the moon, which was clean and fresh, so pure that there was no odor. However, this also made people feel a little uncomfortable and could not feel the breath of life at all.

"The oxygen content here is close to 45%, twice that of the Earth." Tao Jiu said, "Welcome to the Moon."

Duda looked up at the "Heaven", and then looked at the neatly planned town in surprise.

Inside the moon, there is such a world where more than 100,000 single villas stand. The architectural style of this villa is different from all known buildings on the earth. The main structure is elliptical, the floor height is generally more than 5.7 meters. Many elements used in building materials have never been discovered on the earth. All buildings are exactly the same, just like mass production.

Every family stationed on the moon has one such villa.

"Humans have been conducting field research on the moon for forty years," Tao Jiu led Duda on the central axis of the town. "There are not only many families of scientists, but also a group of neogenetic lunar people. They have lived here since they were born, and the oldest is already thirty years old."

Duda stomped his feet, with a hard floor under his feet, but he couldn't feel whether it was metal or stone. He finally knew why this place gave people a suffocating pain, because the town only had uniform buildings, like a military camp... or a prison, and there was not even the most basic street trees.

"They have been here for so many years and don't even plant a tree?" Duda said in confusion.

Tao Jiu said helplessly: "Is your reaction so fast? I told you that the oxygen content here is twice that of the earth, up to 42%, and there is not enough inert gas. If plants are planted, the oxygen content will approach the lower limit of the explosion."

Duda felt the corners of his mouth twitching and thought to himself: Is this something scientists only know?

Just at the stall where the two were talking, two commuter cars rushed in the base. The car was powered by electricity, with extremely low noise and no exhaust. Both drivers were Chinese soldiers, wearing light gray desert camouflage uniforms and a national flag on their chest to prove their belongings. Duda's first reaction was to look at their epaulettes - two crossed rifles and three folded bars. They were second-level sergeant chiefs.

"Welcome back, colonel." The two sergeant commanders jumped out of the car and thought to Yang Xi and saluted.

Yang Xi replied with the gift and arranged it carefully: "Xiao Tao and I go to the headquarters, who will you send Lieutenant Du to the dormitory."

Then who... saluted Du Da and reported to his home to express his dissatisfaction with Chief Yang: "The second-level sergeant Han Songle reports to you! Please come with me."

Duda carried his combat luggage - more like a travel bag - with only a happy underwear and toiletries in it, and followed Han Songle into the car. He didn't realize that he forgot to return the gift, so he couldn't understand why Han Songle showed him a cold face.

——Isn’t it just a second lieutenant? What are you trying to do?

Han Songle kicked the accelerator, and the code on the commuter car pointed directly at 80 kilometers per hour, galloping deep into the town. Duda grabbed the frame of the commuter car - it could drive so fast that there was not even a door!

Fortunately, there were no cars on the road, and there were not even people.

"Why... it looks like an empty city?" Duda originally wanted to say that the dead city was unlucky, so he changed it to an empty city.

Han Songle looked serious and said to himself: "It turns out that he is still a rookie."

"Hey, Xiao Han, where have they all gone?" Du Da frowned without noticed Han Songle's brow.

"It's working hours now, everyone is in the work area, and of course there is no one in the residential area." Han Songle finally couldn't completely ignore Du Da, the second lieutenant.

Duda nodded, tapped the car frame lightly, and suddenly asked, "Is there an internet here?"

Han Songle suddenly felt relieved, and seemed to have met Duda and looked at the lieutenant: "Not only has the Internet, but also forums and online games."

"Huh, I'm relieved." Duda breathed a sigh of relief. As an otaku, if he didn't have TV and the Internet, he really didn't know what the meaning of life was.

"Is there any fun game?" Duda asked.

"Yes, a new online game has been released recently..." Han Songle was just talking when he suddenly heard the communicator beeping next to the operating table. He took off the communicator and approached his mouth: "Han Songle online."

"Xiao Han," Yang Xi's voice came from the communicator, "Don't go to the headquarters, just take Lieutenant Du to the simulator. Let's go there too." The last sentence seemed to be said to the non-commissioned officer in their car.
