Chapter 1225 Lao Chen's ambition

Fan Heng didn't take this because the investment in such a thing was too great, and he could not give up his son. After all, although Fan Wubing's Fan Investment Group was extremely large, it had to support millions of employees, and the daily consumption was not a small amount. It was impossible to help the Navy build a full set of equipment without any trouble.

Besides, the taxes paid by Fan's Investment Group every year are astronomical. You can't ask others to add countless burdens in addition to reasonable tax payments, right? What's more, Fan's Investment Group has invested a lot in public welfare undertakings at present, and Fan Heng doesn't think he can dig much more effort.

The most important point is that Fan Investment Group is a unique existence, a completely private multinational company and has no obligation to provide weapons and equipment to any country's armed forces. This is the key issue.

"Some situations may not be clear." Since this matter was mentioned, Fan Wubing naturally could not explain it clearly. So he thought about it and said to Chen Guangyi, "At present, Fan has some cooperation projects with the military, but they have not been disclosed to the public, so you don't know that it is also worth it, such as aircraft carriers, submarines, ship fire control systems and defense systems, etc., these have been in the laboratory for a long time. The reason why they are not equipped is that some equipment still have flaws, and the other is that the senior management has considered the senior management and is unwilling to rashly launch a new arms race in the Asia-Pacific region."

After hearing this, Chen Guangyi was indeed a little surprised. He was not a core member before, so he naturally didn't know that Fan's laboratory was already working on these projects, and he didn't know more, such as Fan Wubing got back a batch of technical information about aircraft carrier projects from Russia, etc.

The domestic navy has always been relatively weak. In the sea borders under China's jurisdiction and resource sovereignty, the southeast of the country is bordered by the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea, and the South China Sea. It has a vast sea border with more than 18,000 kilometers of coastlines. It is more than 6,500 islands scattered along the coast, and is directly connected to the Pacific and Indian Oceans through the first island chain.

All of this not only benefits from navigation trade, but also contains extremely rich biological and mineral resources. Therefore, making full use of marine resources and ensuring maritime trade is the fundamental interests of the country and nation.

But in fact, the Chinese Navy, which was established before the Republic, faced a harsh living environment since its establishment at the Baima Temple in Jiangsu. In addition to its respectable courage, the Chinese Navy brought about the chaos and ragged small European and American ships left by the Kuomintang Navy.

Finally, I accepted an British light cruiser, "Chongqing", but I had to sank myself due to the crazy bombing of the Kuomintang Air Force. One of the heavy lessons learned from the Battle of Kinmen was that it was almost blank in the combat effectiveness of sea and air.

To this end, the top leaders of the Republic made up their minds and shouted the slogan of building a strong navy and air force, and began to purchase a group of ships, including light cruisers and destroyers, with the United Kingdom through the establishment of the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency, which was not yet behind at the time, and were preparing to attack Kinmen and even Taiwan after a brief period of resting firewood and tasting gall, so as to complete the great cause of national reunification.

However, the early outbreak of the Korean War broke up the plan.

As the seventh fleet of the US Navy entered the Taiwan Strait to patrol, the ship purchase plan that had been basically agreed with the British side was also in vain. In order to counter the US military's indiscriminate bombing of the Volunteer Logistics Supply Line on the Korean battlefield, and to protect the security of important energy and industrial bases in the Northeast, the country spent huge sums of money to import more air force equipment from the Soviet Union than previously planned.

This made it necessary for the already very limited funds to be used for the construction of the air force's equipment, and the army's equipment funds remained the primary position. In addition, from the perspective of the threat, since the Soviet Navy was still in the Lushun base at that time, the United States did not want to launch a maritime attack on the Northeast region, so the equipment construction of the Republic's Navy had to stay on paper.

However, the Navy did not do anything, but actively strived for the Kuomintang naval uprising and surrendering. In addition to the urgent need for equipment supplements, these relatively regularized professionals also allowed them to give full play to their professional expertise, act as seeds for future regular training, establish naval schools, carry out logistics support forces construction, and silently wait for the arrival of the stage of great development.

After the end of the Korean War, the young republic began to formulate standardized national defense strategic plans as a whole, and the regularization of the navy also started. At first, the main enemy was the Kuomintang and its supporter of the United States' naval and air force. By the early 1960s, due to the opposition between China and the Soviet Union, the former Soviet Navy and Air Force also became the main enemy. During this period, it was quite dangerous to be attacked on both sides. At this time, the main strategic concept was to prevent hostile forces from carrying out large-scale landing operations on our coast.

In the early 1970s, Western countries led by the United States adopted the strategy of jointly defending the former Soviet Union with its own interests for their own interests to curb the threat of the former Soviet Union, which was close to the peak of military power at that time, and adopted a strategy of jointly defending the former Soviet Union with limited military strength. They provided certain support to China in terms of military fields, and the two sides also carried out relatively active cooperation. At the same time, the threat to our maritime territory was greatly reduced, and the strategic policies formulated by the Chinese Navy during this period were adjusted to mainly target the former Soviet Union.

By the 1980s, with the inaugural stage of naval exchanges with the Western maritime powers, naval strategy had generally entered the offshore control stage.

It should be noted that during this period, since the government has shifted its main energy to economic construction, the national economy has recovered and strengthened, and the corresponding demand for energy is also expanding.

At this time, in the later stage of the aftermath of the energy crisis, countries have never been concerned about the stupid rich biological/mineral energy performance in the ocean. Therefore, the previously hidden territorial disputes with neighboring countries in the ocean were amplified and became a reality. Therefore, the imaginary enemy of the navy, in addition to the former Soviet Union, also included these countries in the above-mentioned regions.

After entering the 1990s, in order to fight separatism and defend sovereignty, it subsequently added the defense of national maritime passage security and economic order security. In terms of attitude towards new domestic weapons, the Navy pragmatically seized some opportunities that were lost in a slight way to obtain a small amount of funds and developed some new equipment that seemed to be low in technical standards but was also usable to fill the gap.

Speaking of this, we have to mention the establishment of the Naval Equipment Argumentation Center, an unimportant but very important measure. Naval equipment construction is an extremely complex system project. From the development of weapons and equipment systems, argumentation research is the first to be affected. To apply modern technology to the field of naval construction as soon as possible, a professional institution needs to conduct research.

In fact, naval construction has taken many detours and suffered great losses. It is precisely because the senior management realized these that they spared no effort to vigorously support the development demonstration center and make it a think tank for the decision-making level. Because of this, the navy has taken the least detours in equipment construction and development.

While the changes and development of weapons and equipment, due to the dual influence of foreign exchanges and naval equipment demonstration centers, the construction of China's naval battlefield system also improved significantly at that time. With the successive service of new ships such as missile destroyers and nuclear submarines, the construction of large ship bases has become an outstanding task. Some of these ship bases are large cavernous projects, while others require the construction of multiple deep-water berths. With a large number of supporting projects, the scale of the project is quite grand, and the naval engineering support has been raised to a new level.

At the same time, a number of command and communication projects such as long-wave stations, long-wave stations, reconnaissance stations, radar stations, observation stations, water sound stations, navigation stations and other command and communication projects have been started one after another. Among them, the construction of the long-wave station occupies a prominent position. Its completion and put into use have played a key role in the formation of the combat effectiveness of nuclear submarines.

When the new century comes, the situation faced by the Chinese Navy becomes more complex and sharp.

In the South China Sea, especially the sovereignty of the Nansha Islands, countries around the South China Sea have constantly provoked our maritime sovereignty and plundered the rich oil and fishery resources in the sea. In the East China Sea, Japan and South Korea have also occupied maritime territory in the Diaoyu Islands, Chunxiao Oilfield and other waters, and have stepped up the construction of naval forces to achieve the purpose of force confrontation. Of course, behind the various opponents, there is also the US Navy's various forms of strategic suppression of China.

At the same time, it happened that during this period, my country's economic strength had been growing rapidly for nearly 30 years, and the ice lying across the Western world gradually melted with the wave of global economic integration, and the world's factories were gradually formed in the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta. Due to the rise of manufacturing, a large amount of energy and raw materials needed to be imported were also large-scale exports of commodities, and the most convenient and cheapest mode of transportation was sea transportation.

In recent years, my country's national production and foreign trade have relied heavily on marine transportation day and night, and we must have a strong maritime armed force that can perform tasks in the ocean to ensure its smooth operation.

On another aspect, Chinese capital is increasingly integrated into the world financial system, and investing in various foreign commercial projects has also been a hot topic in recent times. As the scale of investment continues to increase, more and more overseas interests are also calling for powerful ocean-going maritime armed forces to protect it.

Therefore, building a strong navy is an urgent task, far exceeding the expectations for the Army and the Air Force.

It is precisely because of this that Chen Guangyi hopes to connect with Fan Wubing through his own leadership and build a powerful navy, so that the Chinese navy can truly put a license plate in the world that conforms to the image of a great power in China.
