Cup Overview:
In this World Cup final, Avilanger achieved one of his reform plans, increasing the teams in the World Cup finals from 16 to 24. The spy war started unprecedentedly on the eve of this World Cup. Argentina coach Medinotti was the first to be hit and spent nearly 10,000 US dollars to buy information from all participating teams. The West Germans also used spies to obtain information from Chile. Italy also collected information from many teams.
Although the last champion Argentina had Maradona, her performance was just average and she fell at the feet of Belgium. Italy's performance at the beginning of the game was incredible. It was tied 0-0 by Poland and tied 1-1 with Cameroon, only defeating Peru. West Germany fell 1-3 in the confrontation with France, tied the score in the last 20 minutes, and finally entered the final with a penalty kick. Cameroon remained unbeaten in all three games, but failed to enter the next round because the goal difference was less than Italy. Algeria defeated West Germany.
However, due to some tacit understanding between West Germany and Austria, the Algerians could only watch as West Germany did not launch an offensive with Austria after getting the score they needed. After defeating Scotland, the Soviet Union and New Zealand 4-1, 2-1, 4-2, they lost the chance to win the championship with a 2-3 defeat against Italy. The game was a superb performance, with Rossi scoring three goals alone. In the semi-finals against Poland, Rossi scored two goals alone, laying the foundation for the Italian team to win the final title.
On July 11, 1982, in Madrid, Spain, Brazilian Gorro blew the whistle of Italy and West Germany in the battle for hegemony, and began this exciting game. The Italian team performed at a very high level under the leadership of Rossi and finally won the World Cup championship for the third time.

The Italian team was able to win the World Cup championship from the beginning. They tied with their opponents in all three group matches. However, in future games, shooter Rossi began to show his strength. The player had just finished his two-year suspension and returned to the court, but he became the number one scorer of this tournament and the number one hero of the Italian team.
Italy defeated Brazil and Poland in a row and reached the finals. The final opponent West Germany fought against France in the semi-finals for 120 minutes without any distinction, and defeated the opponent by penalty kicks, and was physically overdrawn. In the final, Italy obviously had the upper hand. They got a penalty shortly after the game, but defender Cabrini missed the ball.
This mistake did not affect the morale of the Italian team. In the second half, they launched a quick counterattack. Gentile made a long pass from the right, and Rossi grabbed the landing point, and a fish jumped to the head attack to push the ball into the West German goal. 13 minutes later, they launched an attack on the right. Sirea passed the ball across the middle, and Tardelli shot with his left foot and scored the second goal.
West Germany did not make a breakthrough in the face of Italy's tight defense in a large-scale attack, but the Italian counterattack kept posing a threat. Soon after, Altobery beat West Germany's goalkeeper Schumacher in a successful counterattack and shot the ball into the empty goal. West Germany did not seize a chance until 7 minutes before the end of the game, and scored a volley near the penalty area line, breaking the zero record.
Champions Head Coach:
Enzo Beatzot
Since Beatzot served as the head coach of the national team in 1977, his coaching style has been controversial. In order to make the Italian team meet the requirements of modern football, he gave up the tradition of focusing on defense and highlighted the rapid counterattack style. Although his playing style first achieved results in the fourth place in the Argentina World Cup in 1978, the accusations and abuses of the Chinese people still remained unchanged. Beatzot was still unmoved and stubbornly insisted on his own opinion. Finally, he had fruitful results in the 1982 World Cup, winning the Golden Cup, which made the Italian team reach the throne of the world championship for the third time after 44 years.
Beatzot is respected by the players as a fatherly coach. He smelted the "442" formation with a stable defense and rapid counterattack to the highest level, giving him the reputation of "King of Counterattacks". The defeat in the 1984 Championship and the 1986 Mexican Competition forced him to end his nearly 10 years of career as head coach of the Italian national team and return home.
This year's star:
"Golden Boy" Rosie
Paul Rossi, known as the "Golden Boy", was discredited before this Cup due to suing the court for the sports lottery scandal. However, he was unexpectedly selected for the Italian team in the World Cup. He was thin, long face, narrow shoulders, and did not have the shape and skills of an offensive star. He realized that he could not win with strength but should win with wisdom, strategy and opportunity. In 1978, Rossi had a good performance when he participated in the World Cup for the first time, and scored 3 goals at the time. This Cup
In the first three games, Italy scored only two goals, and Rossi did not score. After entering the second stage, Rossi revealed his true face. He performed a "hat trick" and scored a total of 6 goals in four games. He only won three goals in the game against Brazil. He also scored a winning goal in the final game. Rossi won the Golden Boot Award and Golden Ball Award in this Cup. When he participated in the World Cup for the third time in 1986, because his heyday had passed, he could only watch his teammates' competition as a substitute.
Best lineup:
Goalkeeper: Zov (Italy); defenders: Gentile (Italy), Louis Zinho (Brazil), Korovati (Italy), Junior (Brazil); Forwards: Bonek (Poland), Platini (France), Tigana (France), Zinco (Brazil); Forwards: Rossi (Italy), Rummenigge (West Germany).

Cup overview:
The 13th World Cup in 1986 was the only half-way change of ownership, and it was also the first World Cup held by one country and two countries. Due to the high debts in Colombia and severe inflation, it was unable to hold the World Cup. FIFA decided that Mexico would hold the World Cup again, and Mexico became the only country to hold the World Cup twice. The teams of this competition reached 121, with a total of 2 million spectators, all of which set a record. The game method was also changed from this session to the first stage of the round-robin round, and the last two stages of the knockout round. Brazil and France both failed to win the bid, but Argentina was not optimistic about it but stumbled on the "star tactics".
In the group stage, England team was not good, first losing to Portugal 0-1 and then drew Morocco 0-0. In the game against Poland, Reinkell turned the tide and scored 3 goals alone, allowing England to appear. Reinkell later scored two goals against Paraguay and one against Argentina, becoming the top scorer of this cup. Morocco performed very well. After the group stage appeared, he faced West Germany and played until overtime before losing to the town, almost entering the quarterfinals of the world. France and Canada competed for the semi-finals of the semi-finals of the year, and the Frenchman was pressed by the Canadians for nearly 70 minutes. France's only shots were also broken by Canadian goalkeeper Dolan. In the 70th minute of the game, Dolan was about to kick the goal, but suddenly threw a big rooster from the audience. The rooster was the symbol of the French team.
The referee hurriedly grabbed the rooster with his head raised. Surprisingly, Dolan seemed to be possessed, with a mess, lack of energy and slow reaction. France's Papan seized the opportunity to head the ball and score to win. Unfortunately, the French team met Brazil too early again, and the two strong teams met. Although the French team won, they exhausted too much energy, resulting in losing to the West Germany team who was waiting for it in the semi-finals. Maradona took the revenge of the last time.
The lessons that affected the team's team's attention, played with the rude opponents, and scored one goal in the quarter-finals with "God's Hand" and scored four players in a row to eliminate England; scored two goals in the semi-finals to defeat Belgium. In the final, under the strict defense of former West Germany, it created scoring opportunities for teammates and led the Argentina team to win the World Cup for the second time after eight years. He himself won the title of Best Athlete.
