Chapter 12 The Truth About Email
Meng Zhicheng's shrill screams brought all the Meng family members to the grape field. Meng Jiarui was the first to see his eldest brother who had fainted on the ground, and the family carried Meng Zhicheng back home in a desperate manner.
Meng Jiarui pressed his eldest brother fiercely, Meng Qiang and Tian Yawen, one on the left and one on the right, pressed the eldest son's hands on the tiger's mouth. Liu Meidi looked anxiously: "Why are you still not awake? You are working hard!"
The old lady grabbed a teapot nearby and took a sip of water, then sprayed it on her eldest grandson's face. Meng Zhicheng grunted twice, but still didn't wake up.
Liu Meidi wiped the water from the corner of her mouth with her sleeve, rolled up her sleeve and slapped her eldest grandson on the face. The sound was so crisp that everyone listening felt pain.
The corners of Meng Zhicheng's mouth twitched twice, and he suddenly sat upright. The Meng family all looked at him and did not dare to move.
Meng Zhicheng murmured: "Ghost... female ghost..."
"Zhicheng, grandma's good grandson, look at me quickly!" Liu Meidi pulled her son away and sat next to her eldest grandson.
Meng Zhicheng raised his eyes blankly, saw clearly the wrinkled old face in front of him, and burst into tears: "Grandma! It scared me to death! I was almost captured by a female ghost... I thought I would never see you again.
I can’t see you anymore!”
The old lady felt inexplicably sad and gently stroked her eldest grandson's back to comfort him: "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, grandma is here!"
Meng Zhicheng threw a big lump into the old lady's arms: "Grandma, don't be afraid, I would rather be captured by a ghost than let her get close to you!"
Normally, Liu Meidi would be overjoyed when she heard her eldest grandson talking about protecting her; but now that her eldest grandson was talking about ghosts, the old lady was momentarily panicked.
During the day, she received an email from Xiao Chuan from the United States. The old lady was so angry that she was dying; at night, a female ghost came to the villa. Could it be that she really wants to capture this old lady and take her to the underworld?! No, no, she hasn't seen it yet.
The grandson is getting married!
Seeing his thirty-year-old son clinging to the old lady's arms and saying he was afraid of ghosts, Tian Yawen felt it was so painful that he wished he could shrink his son back into his stomach.
She slapped her son hard: "He smells of alcohol! Where did he learn to be drunk and crazy?!"
"Be gentle!" The old lady protected her grandson, and when she met her daughter-in-law's eyes, Liu Meidi immediately softened her tone: "Don't scare the child."
Meng Zhicheng finally came out of the old lady's arms, his face full of grievance: "Mom, I just drank two bottles of beer and I'm not drunk! I really saw a ghost! My hair is like this."
Meng Zhicheng stretched out ten fingers in front of his face: "You don't have a face, your eyes just stick out from the hair!" Meng Zhicheng trembled all over and shook his head: "It's scary!"
Liu Meidi imagined a faceless and big-eyed female ghost coming to take her to the underworld, and shuddered along with her eldest grandson.
Seeing that the old lady was frightened, Tian Yawen hated his eldest son for being exposed: "You still said! Jiarui, go get a basin of cold water and splash your brother awake!"
"Honey, it's still cold, and the child will catch a cold." Meng Qiang pushed the old lady: "Mom, let Zhicheng go back to the room and sleep."
Liu Meidi immediately went down the steps: "Yes, yes, sleep! You will wake up after a nap."
The old lady took her eldest grandson upstairs, and Tian Yawen couldn't help but blame her husband: "Zhicheng is the one who was spoiled by you."
Meng Qiang laughed naively and scratched his head: We have to pick tea tomorrow, so I'll go to bed first."
Meng Jiarui looked at his father's back as he entered the bedroom, and could feel that he was avoiding Tian Yawen. What was his father guilty of?
"Mom, did you and Dad have a fight?" Meng Jiarui asked tentatively.
Tian Yawen looked at her youngest son lovingly. This son was so sensible that it made her feel bad.
"How could it be?" Tian Yawen gently stroked his son's arm, and he could still feel its strength through several layers of clothes. "Everything is fine at home. The money in the bank has been paid off. From now on, you can just take care of yourself.
good."
Tian Yawen only felt full of apologies to his youngest son.
"Why are you talking about this? The whole family is so weird." Meng Jiarui waved his hand and refused to accept his mother's consideration. "Why is my dad avoiding you? Even grandma's attitude is different. Did they make you angry?
"
"Did you see it too?" Tian Yawen laughed, moved closer to his younger son and lowered his voice: "They thought they performed flawlessly."
Seeing that his youngest son was puzzled, Tian Yawen explained: "It's the American mail your dad received today that caused the problem. It's okay, just go up and have a rest."
U.S. mail?! Meng Jiarui's eyes lit up in vain: "Mom, do we really have relatives in the United States?"
Tian Yawen's expression was a little unclear for a moment. Meng Jiarui's heart twitched and he unconsciously grabbed his mother's arm: "Who? Who is in the United States? Why have I never heard of it?"
Tian Yawen looked both smiling and angry, and glanced at his son: "Why do you want to join someone else?"
Meng Jiarui was very anxious and couldn't help but raise his voice: "Speak quickly!"
Tian Yawen pulled away his son's hand: "Your father's ex-wife."
Meng Jiarui was startled and blinked several times.
He knew that his parents were married for the second time, that his father was divorced and his mother was widowed, but that was all he knew, and he never thought about knowing more.
"She has always been in contact with dad?" Meng Jiarui looked at her mother carefully, fearing to make her sad.
Tian Yawen: "This is the only thing I know. For the rest, I have to ask your dad."
Meng Jiarui: "What did she say to my dad?"
Tian Yawen: "Your dad and your grandma are so nervous just because they don't want me to know. After all, they are a couple and they are so far apart." Tian Yawen suddenly laughed: "There can't be any adultery. Just treat it as such.
If you don’t know, don’t ask them, lest they try to act too smart.”
Seeing that his mother was fine, Meng Jiarui felt relieved and prepared to go back to his room. When he reached the top of the stairs, he suddenly stopped and asked, "Mom, what's the name of my dad's ex-wife?"
Tian Yawen nervously glanced at the bedroom where she and her husband lived, and motioned to his son to lower his voice: "Call Xiao Chuan."
"Xiao Chuan, surnamed Xiao." Meng Jiarui pondered and said again: "Does she have children?"
Tian Yawen glared at his son impatiently: "Why are you asking so many questions? Be careful your dad thinks too much after hearing this. Come up quickly."
Meng Jiarui couldn't see anything strange from his mother's face, so he turned and went upstairs. When his son walked away, Tian Yawen sighed sadly.
Xiao Chuan's child? Yes. She took that beautiful little girl with her for three years. She loved the child for three years as if she were her own. She doesn't know how she is doing now.
In the early morning, Meng Zhicheng was awakened by a nightmare and sat up from the bed in fright. A person suddenly appeared next to him and spoke in the hoarse voice he heard in his dream: "What are you dreaming about!"
Meng Zhicheng was so frightened that he screamed: "Ghost!"
Liu Meidi turned on the desk lamp and slapped her eldest grandson hard: "Look clearly, who are you calling a ghost?"
Meng Zhicheng came back to his senses and saw clearly that it was the old lady. He felt aggrievedly and touched the face that had just been slapped: "Grandma, you are so beaten."
Liu Meidi stayed up all night with her eldest grandson, fearing that the female ghost would take her away unpreparedly while she was asleep.
The eldest grandson said he would protect her, so the old lady felt that Meng Zhicheng's room was safer than her own.
"Zhicheng, what did you dream about?" Liu Meidi almost believed that her eldest grandson was a psychic.
"There is a ghost chasing me in our villa. Grandma, is something going to happen to our villa?"
Liu Meidi sat down on the ground.
