Chapter three hundred and four five virtues(1/2)

Muche Xuanxuan, walking on the streets of the Five Elements Yuande Cave Heaven.

Zhang Zichang looked at the clean and tidy streets on both sides and nodded frequently: "The third prince is very virtuous and proficient in the art of governing the country. Just looking at the Tiande City under his name, you can see a few things."

There were two students in the cabin with him. One of them asked: "Teacher, do we really want to dedicate the essence of Liu Xue to the Third Highness? I heard that the Third Highness favors the Ziyan School, and it seems...it seems to be incompatible with our school."

The Confucian scholars and preach the teachings, and there are many schools of thought and struggle endlessly, and the intensity is not as intense as the dispute between the Immortal Taoist sects.

Zhang Zichang is a famous scholar in Dakun. The Liu Xue he inherited can be traced back to the period of Emperor Jing. The ancestor was a guest on the throne of Emperor Jing and was known as the "Saint Liu".

However, Liu Xue had long been driven out of Jinwu City after being suppressed by Emperor Hui. Over the years, Liu Xue could only develop on the edge of Dakun.

Now Kunyu has proved the Confucian saint, which has attracted great scholars from all directions to watch the ceremony. Zhang Zichang planned to take the opportunity to spread Liu Xue's thoughts and devote his three generations of master and apprentice to the third prince.

"Don't worry. The "Da Yi" written by your master and your master and Grand Master will definitely be favored by the Third Prince. This is also our only chance to return to the court and govern the country."

The chariot continued to move forward, and soon saw a teahouse standing in front of him. The young people dressed in students could see the circling of the Confucian Qi.

"How strange, how come these students gather here? Is it because someone is preaching?"

Zhang Zichang and his three teachers and students came over, and suddenly a guard came out of the teahouse and stopped the chariot.

"Is Mr. Zhang Da? My Highness invites you."

The students watching around were talking, and there was much envy and emotion.

Zhang Zichang frowned secretly. From the guard's dress and weapons, he could tell that he was from the Heavenly Palace.

So, Zhang Zichang asked cautiously: "The Third Highness is not preparing for seclusion? Why did he come to the teahouse?"

Liu Yuqi looked at Zhang Zichang with a strange expression: "Sir, my highness is King Zhao and the Sixth Prince of the Heavenly Palace."

When King Zhao's order was revealed, Zhang Zichang's face changed slightly. But at this moment, he realized that Haoran's righteousness was becoming stronger and stronger in the sky above the teahouse.

"That's-"

Looking into the hall on the third floor, there are strange phenomena such as colorful swords and pens, beautiful paintings, and spring and autumn books. More than ten righteous spirits collide with each other, inspiring sparks of wisdom.

Liu Yuqi turned his head and glanced at him and explained, "My Highness came out to have tea today. When he heard two great scholars talking downstairs, he invited them to ask for advice. Later, other great scholars noticed the movement here and rushed to meet my highness. Now there are thirteen great scholars in Qiuhua Courtyard."

"Since that's the case, I should take the order."

Zhang Zichang had no idea of being close to the rumored King Zhao.

According to rumors, King Zhao and Hunyuan Sect, that is, the Immortal Way, have been closer. King Zhao is far inferior to the third prince to the Confucian Sect.

I brought two students to the third floor. Before I could come in, I heard the voices inside.

"The five virtues are gentle, kind, respectful, frugal and merciful. The gentle one is good, the kind one is respectful, the kind one is respectful, the respectful one is frugal, and the frugal one is forgiving... All five virtues are there, and the heart is sage."

This sound is a bit familiar.

Zhang Zichang's heart was slightly moved: Wang Cheng of the original text school? He is here too?

Then, a young and cheerful laughter sounded: "The Analects of Confucius says: 'The Master is gentle, kind, respectful, and frugal, so that he can get it. When the Master seeks it, what is different from what others seek?'. Mr. Wang's lineage uses the Analects of Confucius to study the scriptures. It seems that your 'five virtues' are learned from Confucius."

Zhang Zichang knocked on the door and entered, and saw a handsome man sitting in the middle of the hall.

Peng Yu changed into a Confucian uniform today. His handsome face was set against a bright goose yellow robe, which had a unique style.

The Imperial Concubine...

Zhang Zichang was in a state of excitement and saw Zhao Feiyan, who was dressed as a man.

Like, so similar!

When the imperial concubine came to discuss the truth with the great scholars in men's clothes, it seemed like this.

Peng Yu held a spring and autumn fan and looked at the three people walking in.

"Are you taking two students from the third level in the Confucian school? No, it seems that one of them is about to break through the fourth level? Xize Liu Xue is indeed a bit striking. Perhaps, you can use their power."

Zhang Zichang and the other two came in, and Ziting had already ordered people to prepare their location.

A small coffee table, three cups of fragrant tea, and a set of pen, ink, paper and ink.

Looking forward, the great scholars led the students to sit in two rows, many of whom were holding pens and writing something. Wang Cheng sat in the middle of the hall and was heading back to his seat.

"Mr. Zichang, please sit down." Peng Yu gently waved the folding fan, showing his charm.

When Zhang Zichang saw the others, he asked curiously: "Your Highness invites us to come. Do you want us to write an article?"

"No, I'm just asking some questions. I'm sure you, what do you think of the "Five Virtues" in your Liu Xue school?"

Five virtues?

Zhang Zichang was stunned. Looking back on what Wang Cheng said just now, it seemed to be the understanding of the five virtues of the original school.

Close the folding fan, Peng Yu sat upright and said solemnly: "Sir, you can talk to me in person, or you can hold up your pen to write a book, and read it carefully after you go back."

"Anyone who is outstanding in his opinion can also be transferred to the father and emperor to seek rewards for all gentlemen."

The five virtues are not only in the Confucian school, but also in the path of immortality, demonism and other miscellaneous teachings. However, within the Confucian school, the understanding of the "five virtues" is not consistent.

Some believe that "gentle, kind, respect, frugality and politeness", some believe that "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and trustworthiness", some believe that "loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, righteousness, righteousness and courtesy", and some believe that "benevolence, righteousness, wisdom, courage and trustworthiness"...

In short, each school has its own understanding of the five virtues based on its own ideas.

"Your Highness seems to be asking about the 'Five Virtues', but in fact he wants to see the main ideas of our schools?"

Zhang Zichang understood a little why everyone started writing with their pens. Because this "ask for advice" was very cautious, it might be heard directly by the God Emperor.

It can be said that this was a small speech in front of the palace.

The three teachers and students of Zhang Zichang sat down and did not pick up the pen immediately, but watched the others.

A great scholar sitting in front finished writing and stood up to explain his own theory of the Five Virtues.

"The five virtues are the five elements, and the difference between inside and outside. Outside, the heavenly way is reflected above, the heavenly phenomena are met, the nature is upward, and the four seasons are adapted below. The five virtues of gentlemen are born: benevolence is wood, ritual is fire, trust is earth, righteousness is metal, and wisdom is water."

Then he began to talk endlessly, explaining the relationship between the five elements and the five virtues.

This great scholar was quite a bit contempt: As we all know, King Zhao was close to the immortal way. He talked to him about the five virtues and simply said that the character of a gentleman in Confucianism was better than to take up the five elements of nature, which would suit his appetite.

Peng Yu shook the handle of the fan and his face was calm, not disagreeing with the words of this great scholar. When he finished speaking, he asked someone to collect the paper and then look at the next person.

It seemed that he had a bad start. The latter scholars also felt that King Zhao was biased towards the immortal way and told his five virtues that it was inevitable that the five elements would be involved. Some even brought up the "Book of Changes" and began to argue with Peng Yu about the evolution of the Heavenly Way.

Peng Yu was very concerned about it: I was looking for you just to see the five virtues of your Confucian school, see how big the difference is, and whether it can be used. On the way of heaven and nature, don’t you know more about the way of immortality than you? I can tell you hundreds of thousands of words to distinguish the nature of the five elements and the five constants.

But on his face, Peng Yu did not show any disgust. He accepted the papers one by one with a smile, and read them carefully after Yan Ming went back.

About half an hour later, Peng Yu became impatient: "I listen to your thesis, I wonder who else has great insights?"

"The people of Caoci believe that the five virtues are wisdom, trustworthiness, benevolence, courage, and strictness. Wisdom is the basis, benevolence is the heart, value faith and keep promises, protect the way with courage, and discipline yourself with strictness."

"The Confucian school respects benevolence, and you are the leader of wisdom. It is not a Confucianism outside the world, but rather a Confucian style that Emperor Gaozu has."

The Confucian Taoist tradition comes from heaven. After evolution in the local area, it has abandoned some of the old ideas and integrated them into the ideas of the Great Kun civilization. It has even been continued for thousands of years and has undergone new changes.

Generally speaking, there are three categories of Confucianism, including ancient methods, middle Confucianism and new learning.

The ancient school of law is the main branch of Confucianism outside the world, and Wang Cheng, the original school of the first text, is one of them. This school advocates the old Bible and focuses on benevolence and righteousness.

The Confucian school was the Taoist dynasty of the Linghuang. The Linghuang relied on the Confucian school to suppress the "li law", but the Confucianism he recognized was enlightenment and enlightenment, and only used Confucianism to teach and educate people. As for the Confucian school's concepts of governing the country, the Linghuang was quite disdainful.

The new school is the Confucian school after Emperor Hui. After Emperor Hui's suppression, the Confucian school has been constantly improving and seeking completeness in order to make a living under the Emperor's hands. However, this school has not developed for much time, and the Emperor is still watching their ideas. Zhang Zichang's Liu Xue is an active branch to get closer to the new school.

Peng Yu discussed the Linghuang's Middle Confucian school with the words of this great scholar.

He once received the memory of the Linghuang and knew the Confucian school well. After several chats, the great scholars dared not underestimate this prince.

In terms of Confucianism, this prince is no worse than the great Confucians.

When Zhang Zichang heard Peng Yu's words, his heart was chilling and he kept comforting himself: It's okay, it's okay. King Zhao advocated the Confucian school, although it was not the same as our new school. But anyway, my main purpose was the third prince, it's okay, it's okay.

"Mr. Zhang, you three teachers and students have been watching for so long, why not talk about the five virtues of Liu Xueyi's lineage?"

Seeing that Peng Yu pointed out, Zhang Zichang had to stand up.

"Report to Your Highness, my family's five virtues are loyalty, which are loyalty, benevolence, sincerity, integrity, and courage."

"Hmm?" Peng Yu cheered up and stared at Zhang Zichang with a bright look.

"Sir, tell me carefully."

"Loyalty is naturally to be loyal to the emperor and serve the country and sacrifice oneself for justice."

Then, Zhang Zichang tells the story of two great scholars guarding the city and sacrificing themselves hundreds of years ago.

The expressions of several great scholars around him changed, and he secretly scolded Zhang Zichang for being shameless.

"In order to please the Emperor of God, even the character of our Confucian sect is lost!"

Loyalty to the emperor?

The ancient Mengxue lineage has the saying that "the people are the most important, the king is the least" and there is also the saying that "the world is the greatest, and all people are the first."

The Confucian lineage was supported by the Spirit Emperor himself, raised the God Emperor and regarded it with the same view as the heaven and earth. Using the Confucian custom of respecting the heavens, the God Emperor was regarded as the incarnation of the way of heaven.

But these two families have never independent the Divine Emperor and regarded it as a target of loyalty.

When other schools of new learning heard Zhang Zichang's beginning, they also felt regretful: Why did he let him take the lead? No, no. My school can't say such shameless words, we still need to be kind.

Although the Meishan School also brought up the banner of "loyalty and righteousness", it puts "benevolence" first. The second is filial piety, and loyalty is still after filial piety. This school emphasizes benevolence as the basis, first cultivating the virtues of a small family, and then becoming the meaning of a whole family.
