198: That’s bullshit(1/3)

On October 29th, the opening game of the 2002-03 NBA regular season officially begins!

In order to take care of Chinese fans, the Pistons VS Greencap game was moved to the end.

As a result, when the game started, it was almost lunch break and tea time on the Chinese side.

Domestically, the 2002-03 season is a very high-profile season.

Because this is Li Ang's first year away from Toronto, everyone wants to see if the number one basketball player in China can perform elsewhere.

At noon, the cafeterias of countless units and schools are packed with people.

Every TV in the cafeteria is playing NBA games.

In Boston, Li Ang and his teammates were already preparing in the locker room.

Carlisle looked at the players in front of him and felt a little nervous.

This summer's transfers were the result of long discussions between Carlisle and Dumas before identifying these players.

Originally, the Pistons wanted to dominate the league with the help of Stackhouse and Ben, a pair of super guards and defensive centers.

But the loss last season was a blow to Dumars and Carral. Although Stackhouse averaged an exaggerated 29.8 points per game in the 2000-01 season, he averaged nearly 30 points per game!

But in the playoffs, his performance had nothing to do with the word "super".

In the playoffs last season, when the team needed him most, he could only average 17.6 points on 32.1% shooting...

The low hit rate is actually not incomprehensible. But 32.1%, this is no longer a low problem.

There is no difference between this and nothing!

That's why Carlisle and Dumars learned from the experience and basically conducted a soft reconstruction of the Pistons.

There is no way to become a superstar, the only way is to take team basketball.

In their plan, there is no problem if they want to go this route.

But a plan is a plan, and competitive sports cannot be done by just relying on them.

You still have to rely on fighting to know the result.

And today's game is a test for this new Pistons.

After changing his equipment, Ben clapped his hands vigorously, causing everyone in the locker room to focus on him.

"Hey guys, don't be nervous. I know that when we go out on the field later, those bastard fans in Boston will definitely use the most vicious language in the world to greet us.

But together we can shut up these proud bastards.

Play tough and unite!"

"Play tough and unite as one!"

Just as Ben expected, as soon as the Pistons players came on the field, there was unbridled abuse from the stands.

The most talented people in Boston basically gather in North Shore Garden.

Among them, the ones who were scolded the most were Leon and Billups.

One is the defeated player of Green Kai last season, and the other is the abandoned player of Green Kai.

Boston fans used all kinds of extremely humiliating words to humiliate these two people.

Among them, there are naturally some discriminatory words and actions.

Although Billups remained expressionless, he clenched his fists.

Li Ang glanced at Billups and said, the good thing he brought last night...

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, look who's here. The MVP of the World Championships is here. I'm so far away to welcome him, hahahaha!"

At this point, Pierce entered the scene.

Before the game even started, his annoying trash talk started.

"The MVP of the World Championships is just something external. The key is to lead the team to win. If I only finished sixth, I would probably not be happy even if I won the MVP."

Li Ang was not angry, but smiled and used the fact that the dream team only finished sixth in the World Championships to stimulate Pierce.

As expected, Pierce became gnashing his teeth. The essence of trash talk is to accurately find the other person's pain points.

For example, if you criticize Kobe, you have to say to him: "I don't talk to the Lakers' second best."

The sixth place in the World Championships is Pierce's pain point.

"Hey, you said it's the same Celtics, and Larry Bird plays left-handed. I'm afraid the Dream Team won't fall to sixth place, right?" Seeing that Pierce was so angry, Li Ang pursued the victory.

"Li Ang, you keep scolding me!" Pierce gritted his teeth and used other people's deeds to show off his own fault. Li Ang, you are so vicious!

In the verbal battle before the game, Li Ang undoubtedly won the victory.

Li Ang's trash talk has never been about quantity, but mainly about quality.

Of course, there is a reason why Li Ang doesn't talk trash much. Because if he is really angry, he will not trash talk you.

Wouldn't it be comfortable to just give him a beating?

Before the start of the game, Fathead Antoine Walker accepted an interview with reporters.

The reporter also stirred up trouble. He asked Fat Tou Tuo what he thought of Li Ang saying that the Pistons would become the most difficult team in the league.

Fat Toutuo didn't think much about it. He thought about last season's playoffs, and it seemed that it wasn't particularly difficult to eliminate Li Ang.

So, he approached the microphone and said, "Our threat is greater."

The game is about to start, and the shouting in the North Shore Garden has reached its peak.

On the Pistons side, the top five are Billups, Hamilton, Michael Curry and the headache combination.

On the Green Kai side are J.R. Bremer, Pierce, Eric Williams, Fat Volute and Tony Batty.

I walked into the center circle with an afro. This new hairstyle really made him look a lot taller.

And Li Ang also discovered a very terrifying fact. If I didn't have an afro...

Then I am not the tallest among the Pistons?

That’s outrageous!

At the beginning of the game, although Ben was short, he was quick and won the ball first from Tony Barty.

After Billups got the ball, he slowly approached the three-point line, and many Boston fans laughed.

Just Billups, still pretending to be able to organize?

When Billups was at Greencap, he didn't even know what he should do, let alone organize it.

Because the offensive time of one round in the NBA is shorter than that in the NCAA, Billups couldn't find the rhythm at all from the beginning.

After he was transferred to the Nuggets, the Nuggets simply used him as the second position and did not let him hold the ball.

In people's inherent impression, Billups doesn't know how to organize at all.

Pierce went to pester Liang personally, but Liang just stood outside the three-point line, waiting for Billups to give orders.

Billups raised his hand and showed two fingers. In an instant, the entire Pistons team started to move.

Hamilton began to take his opponent for a ride, and Ben was brought up to cover Li Ang.

Because Ben didn't take a shot, Green Kai center Tony Barty huddled directly under the basket without guarding him.

Li Ang took advantage of the screen and ran to the left. Pierce was blocked by the strong Ben. When Li Ang was in position, Billups' pass was delivered just right.

Li Ang caught the ball and shot immediately, with perfect rhythm and no interference at all.

With a "swipe" sound, the basketball entered the net lightly, and the Pistons scored on the first attack.

"Beautiful pass, Billups' timing of passing was very good, and Leon's movement was also very coordinated.

To be honest, they don't look like a team that just came together."

After the goal, Li Ang looked at Pierce, shook his head and said: "Is this the sixth-place defense?"

Pierce's lungs almost exploded with anger. This matter of sixth place is over, right?

Damn it, why is Li Ang talking so viciously now?

I'm warning you Li Ang, do you think I dare not flatter you?

Laughing to death, it’s not that I don’t dare, I just can’t beat him.

Pierce shook his head, Li Ang is just a paper tiger, look at how I, the strongest small forward in the Eastern Conference, will abuse you on the offensive end!

"Ouch, ouch, I'm sorry!"

However, before the Pierce man even stepped into the three-point line, he was already hurt by Li Ang.

What did Carlisle say in the training camp before?

"Don't be afraid of pain, the defensive end is all about confrontation! Failure to defend against confrontation is like reading a novel without pictures, it has no soul!"

When Carlisle was still a player, he was playing alongside Bird, Parish and others.

Although he is a white player, he also understands the importance of confrontation.
To be continued...
