Chapter 5 Roast Hare

Chu Yao took the rabbit out of the space. When she saw that the rabbits were hard, she realized that these rabbits were frozen and she couldn't just take them out.

After thinking about it, Chu Yao decided to boil a kettle of hot water here and defrost the rabbit before taking it over.

Just do it, Chu Yao took out a small iron pot and a three-legged stove from the pendant space.

He also collected materials from the local area, including a pile of hay and branches, and a bag of fuel. After lighting it, it quickly became a small fire.

Put the iron pot on the stove, pour in pure water, and it will boil in a short while.

Chu Yao took another bucket of Laotan pickled cabbage and beef noodles and soaked them in, and also added a ham sausage for herself.

Pour the remaining water into the hot water bottle so it can be used next time.

Chu Yao now has two spaces. The pendant space can only be used for storage and cannot be entered, but there is an advantage. No matter how long it takes, the things put in it will be the same as before, and you can go in and out at will.

People can enter the underwater space, and there are a lot of supplies, but they can only be taken out but not taken in.

By the way, she can only enter the underwater space by herself. There is sea water everywhere, but for some reason, neither the supply ship nor Chu Yao will be disturbed by the sea water.

Chu Yao decided to use the two spaces together.

Just like now, after taking out four rabbits from the seabed space and all of them thawed, Chu Yao only left two outside, and the rest, including pots and stoves, were thrown into the pendant space.

She quickly finished disposing of the instant noodles, and then threw the garbage milk cartons produced after feeding Chu Yao into the fire. After it was almost burned, she put out the fire.

Then she put the basket on her back and carried the two rabbits back to the road. Chu Yao moved very quickly. When she finished eating, she came back and found that many people were cooking wild vegetable porridge.

After thinking about it for a moment, she understood that in ancient times, there were no lighters. It was really troublesome to use flints to make fire and to make a big pot to feed a family of more than ten people.

It was quite eye-catching that Chu Yao came back with the rabbit, because Chu Yao was a girl and she was only thirteen or fourteen years old. They never expected that Chu Yao had the ability to hunt.

Facing everyone's doubts, Chu Yao calmly replied: "I have learned a few tricks from the hunters in the village before."

She said sheepishly: "I'm just not good at skinning, and the rabbit skin got messy and irritable, so I buried those things together in the pit."

"Oh~ So that's it."

Everyone suddenly realized that no wonder the two rabbits had no fur. It turned out that Chu Yao had buried them.

Chu Yao gave both rabbits to Uncle Niu and asked him to get them for everyone to eat together.

"This, why is this so embarrassing? You hunted it..."

Uncle Niu is an honest and honest person and is unwilling to take advantage of Chu Yao.

Chu Yao smiled and said: "You can accept it so that I can replenish the health of Nanny and the little flower calf. Don't be polite to me. It's still a long way to go. I have a child and I have to take care of you."

Aunt Niu came over and poked Uncle Niu and muttered a few words to him. Then Uncle Niu accepted the rabbit and went to make a fire nearby to roast the rabbit.

Aunt Niu took the bowl and turned around to go somewhere else. After a while, she brought a small half bowl of rice soup.

She said to Chu Yao: "Use this rice soup to feed the child. He is so big that he can't eat roasted rabbit meat. I will get some cloth to sew a quilt for the child later. Yours is too conspicuous."

Chu Yao said: "Then I'll trouble Aunt Niu."

She thought it would be a good idea to change Chu Qi's bag, and she belatedly realized that if she kept wrapping Chu Qi in a blanket, would the child be overheated?

She saw that Chu Qi didn't seem to be feeling uncomfortable, so she forgot about it and would put it on after Aunt Niu made the quilt.

Chu Yao really has no experience in raising children.

If she hadn't announced to the public that this was her sister, or if she hadn't been running away from home, she would have wanted to find a family to adopt the child.

She feels that others have more experience raising children than herself.

She was really afraid of raising this child to death.

Just when Chu Yao was thinking wildly, Uncle Niu had already roasted both rabbits. He handed one to Chu Yao, and the rest was shared among the five members of his family.

Chu Yao broke off some and put it in her mouth. There was no other seasoning but a little salt, but the rabbit was roasted and it tasted quite fragrant.

Chu Yao just ate instant noodles, and then she ate a rabbit leg and couldn't eat anymore.

In the blink of an eye, I saw many children staring at the rabbit in their hands and swallowing their saliva.

Chu Yao recognized them, and their master had given her something before.

After thinking for a while, Chu Yao called the oldest child over and asked him, "What's your name? How old are you?"

"My name is Huzi and I am eight years old."

said the boy, trying to take his eyes off the roasted rabbit.

But the rabbit was so fragrant that he couldn't help but swallow his saliva.

Chu Yao then handed the rabbit to him and said, "Take it and share it with other children."

Huzi looked at her in surprise and asked, "Is it true? It's all given to us?"

Is this new sister so good?

Chu Yao smiled and nodded, "Yes, I'll give it all to you, but you can't eat it alone, you have to share it, understand? Otherwise, I won't give you any delicious food in the future."

Huzi took the rabbit and couldn't wait to share it with his friends. Hearing this, he said firmly: "I will definitely share the food with everyone and won't eat it alone!"

"Then give it to them quickly."

Chu Yao almost cried when she saw those children.

Huzi brought the rabbit together and gathered all the friends together. After some chattering, a group of children divided the rabbit among themselves, and then they all ran over and surrounded Chu Yao.

Chu Yao was shocked, "What are you doing? You're not addicted to it and you want it from her, right?"

She couldn't bring out much roasted rabbit at the moment.

There were frozen rabbits, but the problem was that she couldn't find a reason to take them.

She couldn't do it in front of so many people, right? Then she would be caught and burned as a monster.

Facts have proved that Chu Yao has overthought things. These children thanked Chu Yao all the time!

"Thank you sister!"

“My sister is so nice!”

"The rabbit my sister gave me is delicious!"

The commotion here attracted other villagers, and some adults came over to ask what happened.

Huzi told Chu Yao about giving him a rabbit, and the villagers felt embarrassed when they heard it. They kept apologizing to Chu Yao, saying that the children in their village were too greedy.

Chu Yao was embarrassed. She stood up and said, "It's not a big deal. I can't finish it anyway. I have to thank you for letting me go to the north with you."

The villager said: "My name is Lin Dahu, and I am Huzi's father. If you need anything in the future, you can find my mother-in-law over there."

He stretched out his hand to point to Chu Yao where his bullock cart was. There was a woman standing next to the bullock cart, looking at this side with a smile.

Chu Yao nodded quickly, "Okay, okay, I won't be polite to you."

The other children's adults also came to the door, imitating Huzi's father and saying that if Chu Yao needs help, you're welcome.
