Chapter 243

Jiang Lan exited the study and followed Lin Zheng downstairs for dinner.

She sat quietly at the dining table, eating absentmindedly, her eyes unfocused.

Seeing her like this, Lin Zheng couldn't help but frown. It was indeed a bit torturous to guard an empty house like this.

Jiang Lan took a few bites, then shook his head and stopped eating.

Lin Zheng packed up his things and left, leaving Jiang Lan alone in the huge villa.

She walked to the sofa and sat down, turned on the TV, and watched the cartoons inside.

Jiang Lan felt that he seemed to have forgotten something, but he couldn't remember it.

She just watched TV silently and waited for Lu Jingchi to come back as usual.

The high fever had not gone away and she was feeling dizzy.

Suddenly there was another sound from the phone. She turned around and picked up the phone on the sofa and saw that it was a message from Jiang Lan.

[Lanlan, I have arrived in France.]

There were only a few simple words, but Jiang Lan fell into deep thought.

She typed a reply: [When did you leave?]

A few seconds later, Si Ning replied: [I just left yesterday and arrived today. Didn’t you see my circle of friends? I was in Egypt the day before yesterday.]

Jiang Lan paused, still a little confused, "When did you leave Lin'an? Why didn't you tell me?"

This time it was Si Ning's turn to be silent.

After several minutes, Si Ning finally replied: [Lanlan, what’s wrong with you?]

This sentence made Jiang Lan even more confused. She typed: [What's wrong?]

Si Ning frowned at this moment. She was not sure whether it was Jiang Lan on the other end of the phone.

Why did she ask herself, when did she leave Lin'an?

Si Ning was silent for a moment before replying to her: [Don't you remember what happened before?]

Jiang Lan pointed her finger, she closed her eyes and carefully thought about what happened recently, but she couldn't even remember when Si Ning left.

Jiang Lan: [What happened?]

Si Ning didn't dare to reply randomly because she was afraid that some doggy man was fishing on the other side of the phone.

So Si Ning casually replied: [It's okay, it must be very late over there now, you should go to bed early.]

After Jiang Lan sent messages again, she did not reply.

Jiang Lan lay on the sofa and looked through the conversations with Si Ning over and over again. All the previous conversations were deleted, leaving only the chat history just now.

She turned over it many times, but still couldn't remember what happened recently.

Finally she gave up and threw the phone aside.

After a while, the door outside opened and Jiang Lan stood up immediately.

It was still raining heavily outside, and when Lu Jingchi came in, there were drops of water hanging on his shoulders.

He took off his coat and was about to throw it away when suddenly a pair of hands reached over and took his clothes and hung them on the hanger.

Lu Jingchi was slightly startled, looking at the back in confusion.

After Jiang Lan hung up his clothes, he turned around and walked up to him. With a smile on his face, he gestured to him: Have you eaten?

Lu Jingchi stared at her in silence for a while, then said, "You didn't eat?"

As he said that, he looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was already eleven o'clock in the evening.

Jiang Lan was startled and followed his eyes. When she saw the time, she pursed her lips and gestured to him: Sorry, I forgot the time.

Lu Jingchi saw her remorseful look, reached out and touched her head, "It's okay, have you eaten?"

Jiang Lan nodded.

"Then go to bed early." As he said that, his cold hand fell on her forehead, "It's still a little hot."

After saying that, he suddenly picked up Jiang Lan and strode upstairs.

Jiang Lan looked up at him. He looked calm, carried her to the bedroom, put her on the bed, and handed her the medicine.
