Chapter 50

She closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them again.

Turning his head, he saw a familiar room, but there was no Lu Jingchi.

She had probably just woken up from a dream, and the feeling of loss in the dream still lingered in her heart, making her heart throb.

Jiang Lan pushed herself up and sat up. She found sanitary napkins in the drawer. Just as she was about to go to the bathroom, the bedroom door suddenly opened and Lu Jingchi walked in.

She was stunned and tightened her grip on the sanitary napkin in her hand.

Lu Jingchi also glanced at the thing in her hand, but didn't say anything. He just said: "Since you're awake, let's come down to eat."

After saying that, he turned around and walked out.

Jiang Lan pursed her lips and went to the bathroom. Fortunately, there was no blood anymore.

Her eyes flickered, was that a child...or was there a chance to keep it?

Jiang Lan changed out of her sanitary napkin, washed her hands and went downstairs.

In the restaurant, Lu Jingchi was wearing home clothes and he was serving soup.

Jiang Lan thought she was hallucinating. She rubbed her eyes vigorously and looked again. It was indeed him serving soup.

Could it be that he also cooked the food on the table...

Jiang Lan walked over with an anxious mood, sat down, and stared at the chicken soup in front of her. She was in a trance for a moment.

She had never seen Lu Jingchi cooking. How could he do that?

Seeing her in a daze, Lu Jingchi suddenly said, "Aren't you hungry?"

Jiang Lan came to his senses and quickly picked up the spoon and took a bite. It was not unpleasant to eat!

She looked at Lu Jingchi in surprise.

Lu Jingchi wiped his hands with a napkin, "What do you want me to do? I hired someone to do it."

"..."

Jiang Lan lowered her head to eat in silence. Sure enough, she was overthinking.

She was really hungry and wolfed down a lot. Lu Jingchi didn't move much and watched her eat the whole time.

Jiang Lan put down her bowls and chopsticks when she was full. She stood up and cleared away her bowls and chopsticks out of habit.

By the time she came out after washing the dishes, Lu Jingchi had already gone to the living room.

Jiang Lan paused. He didn't go to the study. He probably wanted to talk to her.

She walked over knowingly and stood in front of Lu Jingchi.

He tilted his head, his brows indifferent, "Sit down."

Jiang Lan pinched her fingers, sat down opposite him, and waited for him to speak.

"Are you still divorced?" he asked.

Jiang Lan lowered her head, not knowing how to answer his question. What happened last night had indeed cast a shadow on her, and she returned to this familiar place and listened to his voice.

She was very dissatisfied and backed down.

I want to be an ostrich that buries its head in the sand, deceiving myself and others and being content with the status quo.

If she doesn't expect too much, this is indeed the best choice for her.

Yes, apart from not loving her, he was really good to her, so good that she couldn't find any fault with him.

Lu Jingchi took out the divorce agreement and kept it in front of her, "I'll give you a minute to think about it."

After he finished speaking, he lowered his head and set the time on his watch.

Then he folded his legs, leaned on the sofa, and stared at her quietly.

Jiang Lan stared at the divorce agreement, his mind went blank. Those dense words slid across his eyes, but not a single word could enter his mind.

"You still have thirty seconds."

Jiang Lan pursed her lips, picked up the divorce agreement, and the pen on the table, and turned to the place where the signature was signed.

She tightened her fingers, holding the pen, with the tip of the pen hanging on the horizontal line of her signature, and her fingers could not suppress their trembling.
