Chapter 26 Jasper Jade

After breakfast the next day, we left the door early and drove straight to Changchun, the provincial capital. After finding Li Yan successfully and explaining the purpose of the trip, Li Yan did not ask much and agreed happily.

During the days we have been waiting for Li Yan's news, we have been staying in the library and have consulted a lot of information, hoping to find some clues in some historical materials. However, the records of "Seven Lords of Xingdi" or "Seven Lords of Xingdi" cannot even be found in official history or unofficial history. "Seven Lords of Xingdi" seem to have never appeared in history, and there is no trace to be found.

When searching for some old information in Lishu County, there is a legend about the origin of the village name that has attracted us.

According to records, there is a village under Caijia Town, Lishu County called Niangniangmiao Village. The reason why this village is called this is because there was a "Niangniang Temple" here at that time. The three main halls of the Niangniang Temple were worshipped by the three statues of Yunxiao, Qiongxiao and Bixiao. The 18th day of the lunar calendar every year is the Niangniang Temple Fair, and the incense is very popular, so villagers nearby come here to worship.

More than 300 years ago, there was a fairy Taoist nun here. She was well-versed in Taoism and powerful in spells. She could not only cure diseases and drive away evil spirits, but also use all kinds of beasts. Someone once witnessed a gathering of hundreds of birds and a group of beasts. She was regarded as a god by the locals for a time. One was passed down by ten, and ten was passed down by hundreds of people. At that time, there were many people coming to pray for children or fulfill their wishes. There were endless people coming and going, and traffic was rife. Later, some vendors gradually gathered around them, and it became a small market. Gradually, more and more people gathered around. Over time, a small village was formed. Later, people called this village Niangniang Temple Village.

I handed this story to Daya and Liuye Chuan to read it, and they also found it interesting. They would rather believe it than believe it. Whether it is a legend or not, they should check it. The publication date of the book was from 1982. The story said more than 300 years ago, which should have been between 1608 and 1658. The "Seven Dukes of Xingdi" we are looking into was the period from Nurhaci to his death, and the time was also somewhat consistent.

In July 1626, Nurhaci was plagued by illness and could not insist on handling military and political affairs. He had to go to Qinghe Hot Spring again for recuperation, but he could not stop the arrival of death. On the afternoon of August 11, Nurhaci died. But how Nurhaci arranged the funeral at the time of his death has become a mystery for the ages. According to the archives recorded in the "Manchu Old Archives" every day until the fourth day of August 1626, what was missing was the archives of Nurhaci's death from critical illness until Huang Taiji ascended the throne.

It’s a bit puzzled to think about it. Since the Later Jin Dynasty had formed a formal recording system at that time, what happened in the past few days should have been recorded. But why did the archives of these days ultimately fail to be circulated in later generations? This question is really puzzling. No one knows what kind of eternal mystery left by Nurhaci before his death, and no one knows what happened in the past ten days after his death until Huang Taiji ascended the throne?

Then I looked through some other information, and what could be called a little valuable is still the legend about the Niangniang Temple. I tilted my teeth and leaned on the back of the chair: "I think this matter is a bit mysterious. I won't tell you if there are women in the 'Seven Lords of Xingdi', and whether women can lead troops to fight. Just talk about this Taoism, which is also a lot of Han people. Do you think Nurhaci, a Manchu Tartar, would there be Han people who would work for him? I guess this nun in the Niangniang Temple is a beautiful story, and this matter is not reliable."

I heard Daya’s words, but nothing can be so arbitrary. Then I continued: “Although Taoism is a religion born in China, some foreign countries and foreigners are also practiced. The ‘Seven Lords of the Land’ cannot be completely ruled out that there are no Taoist practitioners. Although those who practice Taoism generally do not participate in this kind of political rights dispute, it cannot be ruled out that there is such a possibility.”

Daya rolled his eyes and curled his lips: "We understand this principle. There are monks who eat meat, and there are monks who are flower. There are also old Taoists who are not upright in their minds. I think this is either the old Taoist practices witchcraft and they are not up to date, or the wizards learn Taoism and they are not up to the truth. Damn, it's really a fucking hooligan who knows martial arts, and no one can stop it."

Liu Ye and I looked at each other and smiled, and said nothing.

Basically, I went to all the libraries in Changchun, and looked around every day, leaving early and returning late, and I felt dizzy every day. One noon three days later, I received a call from Li Yan and told us that it was very smooth and there was a result. I asked us to go and get it. Because of Li Yan's work, she was busy these days, so I just gave us a file bag containing beads and related information, and then went back to work again.

We returned to the hotel and opened the file bag given by Li Yan. There were about a dozen pages of printing paper inside, so each of us took a picture and started reading it.

After all, it is a state agency, and the inspection report is very detailed and the data of each index are clear. Each report has several photos of different angles and shapes of beads on it, so it is easy to identify which bead is targeted. I was not very interested in some chemical formulas, hardness indexes, etc., so I simply read the identification results directly. Then everyone circulated each other and read them all in full.

Only then did I know that one of the beads with dark colors was made of jasper. The report introduced the properties of this stone in detail. The other bead with slightly brighter colors was made of jade, which was identified as A-grade jade.

Liu Ye picked out two pieces of paper and placed it on the top. While looking at it, he said to me: "It seems that Hu Deng is right. The words on these two beads are indeed the same as we speculated. The words on the jade beads are exactly the word "Lu" in Lu Cun, and the words on the jade beads are "Wen" in Wenqu. These two beads are sure that they are what we are looking for.

Another thing we don’t know about the bead is the word ‘chu’ on the jasper bead and the word ‘jo’ on the jade bead. But why do people in this tomb have three beads at the same time but only one token? Is there more than seven beads? Or is the token not seven faces?”

I looked at the two pieces of paper again, and then continued, "Since these two beads are the same as I had previously speculated, then the Jade Bead should be the third, the nine stars are called 'Lu Cun', which is the third star of the Beidou'. The jade bead should be the fourth, the nine stars are called 'Wenqu', and the fourth star of the Beidou'. In addition to the first and sixth we already have, we are still missing three beads, the second, fifth and seventh respectively. And the token currently has only two sides."

Liuye wrote several numbers from one to seven on the paper, arranged the four beads in order in order, and then said to us: "Look here, these are the four beads we have found now. The second, fifth and seventh in the sky are not yet. As for the other word on the bead except for the name of the nine stars, we have never figured it out. If it is arranged in this order, then it is..." While saying that, another word on the bead was written under the bead. It was written on a piece of paper.

Daya and I looked at the paper: Ten (?) First time (?) Six (?)

After seeing the words written on the paper, Daya's face was unstable. He hesitated and pointed at the paper and asked: "Lai Liang, girl, what is this? I can't understand? What is 'first friend'? Could it be..." When he spoke, Daya smiled lewdly and deliberately stopped talking.

I have known Daya for so many years, and of course I know what he is thinking. Before I could speak, Liu Ye on the side spoke. She looked at Daya and said, "Please, can you have some quality and some culture? Let me tell you, "First Me" is not the kind of first intercourse you said. In ancient Chinese, it refers to "first Me". Do you understand?"

Liu Ye was so embarrassed that he said this. Even I didn't expect a girl to throw any words out of her family. It seems that the young people today are much more powerful than our generation.

After hearing Liu Ye say this, Daya repeatedly said to himself: "The first day of the junior high school, the first day of the junior high school, it's not right. Why do I think these numbers are so evil? Look at it, tenth day of the junior high school, how do I think it's like the first day of the 10th month of the New Year?

As soon as Daya finished speaking, Liu Ye and I also had a very bad premonition. After experiencing so many things, we have long since not believed in coincidences and accidents. Just as Daya said, tenth and the first time they met, it really looks like the first day of the October 10th. The day when Xiaobao was entangled in a lonely grave when he was a child and the day when he died unexpectedly was the first day of the October 10th.

Seeing that everyone stopped talking, I was afraid of affecting everyone's emotions, so I opened the topic and said, "I don't know what the second bead is written, maybe it's another word? Don't scare yourself. If the soldiers come to block the generals, the water comes to cover the earth. Let's discuss what to do next?"

At this time, Liu Ye also recovered from his senses. After taking a look at Big Teeth, he turned to me without saying a word, "Hu Deng, please arrange this matter, let's listen to you."

When Daya heard Liu Ye say this, he also said to me: "Yes, come on Liang, just say it, do whatever you should do, we didn't say it."

When I heard them say this, I smiled: "Since you both asked me to say it, then I'm not polite. Let me think so, Liu Ye, you will go back to Beijing tomorrow and decipher the notebook of Lao Dao Xuan as soon as possible. Daya and I will go to the Niangniang Temple to see it. Maybe there are some other clues. Where is the new discovery, and where is the one, communicate in time. Look, how about it?"

When Liu Ye and Da Ya heard this, they had no other opinions and agreed to my arrangement.
