Chapter 34 Another picture

On March 25, at nine o'clock in the morning, the sun was covered with a layer of veil. From a distance, it was hazy and mysterious.

Bai Lotte pushed open the glass revolving door and walked into the first floor lobby of the hotel. He saw Alisa sitting on the sofa on the left side of the hall reading a magazine. She was wearing a duck-green casual outfit and a blue-gray backpack was placed next to her.

"Hi, Alisa, did you have a rest yesterday?"

"I'm fine, thank you, Dr. Bai." Alisa stood up and grabbed her backpack in her hand. "Are you going to the atmosphere now?"

"Yes, let's go to Professor Feng's office first."

In just over a dozen minutes' drive, the car turned into a tree-shaded yard, and facing it was a quaint three-story building with red tiles and white walls and eaves raised high.

Bai Lotte got off the cab, opened the car door for Alissa, and followed a path made of blue bricks, the two walked into the first floor of the office building.

In the first floor foyer near the right, there is a rectangular table painted dark yellow. A red-faced security guard in a black uniform sits on a chair behind, with a big hat tilted to one side, the corners of his mouth drooping, and he is dizzy.

Sleepy.

In the middle of the table was a book filled with information about visitors. Bai Letian picked up the pen next to him and registered Alisa's information. At this time, the security guard was shocked and smashed his eyes.

Next, woke up.

Following the brown-red wooden staircase, the two walked straight to the third floor and came to the eastmost room on the third floor, which read "Wind Word Office".

A woman with explosive hair passed by them, with a look of surprise and an inexplicable smile on her face.

Bai Letian took out the key, inserted it into the lock, turned around a few times, pushed open the door, walked to the window, and opened the curtains.

The office was silent, and the silence was like a dead person, making people feel extremely dull.

The wall is covered with topographic maps and weather maps, the cups on the coffee table are neatly arranged, and a dark gray top hat is hung on the clothes hanger in the corner of the wall.

"Look, this is Professor Feng's office." Bai Letian said in infinite grief.

Alisa silently walked to the desk, looked carefully, and touched the pen in the pen holder, as if she wanted to put all this into her mind.

Alisa's expression was solemn and her movements were very slow, and she seemed to be afraid of waking up others. She walked to the front of the weather map and gently stroked her fingers. She pulled open the bookcase leaning against the east wall, and there were various books arranged inside.

Professor Feng carefully collected it.

"Dr. Bai, my mom said, is it OK to ask me to bring back some of my dad's personal books?" Alisa asked back.

"Since it is Professor Feng's personal belonging, you are his daughter, of course."

"Thank you, you can take a break first, I may take some time." Alisa said, pointing to the sofa.

"Okay, please give me the gift." Bai Letian said, walked to the sofa and sat inside.

Alisa stood in front of the bookcase, very focused, carefully reading each book, even if it was a very thin record book, she didn't let go. She opened all the drawers, looked at the items inside again and again, a pair of them

I was afraid of missing something.

About an hour later, Alisa picked up several papers from the bookcase, put them in her backpack, walked to the back of the desk, opened the drawer and looked at it, and there was nothing but a few bags of coffee.

According to Liu Qing's instructions, Bai Letian secretly recorded the items that Alisa flipped and took away.

"Dr. Bai, is this the information about my father?" Alisa said, with a hint of disappointment on her face.

"It seems that's all. Well, he has no other office." Bai Letian replied.

"Dr. Bai, do you know that my dad received a letter from the United States a month ago, containing a technical research report." Alisa said, with an unnatural expression on her face.

"I heard Professor Feng talk about it. It seems to be Professor Thomson's research results. He liked it very much and read it many times."

"Then do you know where the letter was placed?" Alisa's eyes shone.

"I'm sorry, I don't know."

"Well, okay then." Alisa couldn't hide her disappointment.

"Is it very important? I will find it in the future and send it to you."

"It's not that important, forget it." Alisa said, she avoided Bai Lotte's eyes and looked at the room.

Suddenly, she walked to the back of her desk as if she had discovered a new world.

I moved it away in a very tall pot of green plants, and a light gray safe appeared behind it. If I didn't look carefully, I wouldn't find it at all.

"Dr. Bai, do you have the key? Can you open it?"

"I don't have a key, I guess the police can open it, I can help you contact."

Hearing the word "police", Alisa's eyes flashed with fear and disappeared in the blink of an eye. She hurriedly said, "Then forget it."

Walking out of the office building, the sun was shining brightly, shining on the golden zipper of Alisa's backpack.

"Dr. Bai, is my dad's home far away from here?"
