1, into the tower(1/3)

From deep in the forest came the shrill crow of crows and the sound of frightened wings flapping.

Xie Xingyin stood on the sycamore tree where the three of them were hugging each other, holding a blood-stained dagger tightly in his hand.

The wind from high above stirred his light flaxen blond hair, clearly revealing his deep facial features that looked like a mixed race.

The ivory white shirt he was wearing was torn by something unknown and was in a mess. The scarlet blood stains on the corners of the shirt were shocking.

Xie Xingyin has been squatting on a branch nearly ten meters high for a long time, until the sun has almost set.

Not far from his feet, at the bottom of the tree, lay a mutilated corpse that was no longer human.

——Half an hour ago, that person was still a living person, but someone stepped on him and turned him into a flattened piece of flesh.

The last ray of light on the horizon was about to disappear, and Xie Xingyin was not sure whether the monster had really left.

He pursed his lips tightly and looked at the invisible dense forests and mountains in the distance.

The forest in front of me is quite strange, as if there is no end in sight no matter how far I go.

Xie Xingyin actually had no clue as to why he appeared here. He only remembered that he fell from mid-air in his sleep, and then faced off with the thing for a long time.

The reason why I call it "that thing" is because I really don't know what to call it——

The thing was quite large, with a humanoid outline barely visible. There was a head and a large number of broken limbs on its body. Xie Xingyin felt that it looked like it was pieced together from corrupted human limbs. There were several

He only had nail polish on his hands.

It doesn't seem to eat corpses, it just takes pleasure in killing.

The wind in the forest got stronger again, with dead branches and gravel hitting the face, making it almost impossible to open one's eyes. Xie Xingyin rubbed his dry eyes and planned to get off the tree.

The wind in the tree was too strong, and the cold wind blew in through his collar, making the back of his neck feel chilly.

"Tick-tock——"

A very slight sound. But very close.

Xie Xingyin was stunned for a moment when he saw something sticky dripping at his feet. It was red and black, and just one drop gave off a strong fishy smell, like oxidized blood.

"Tick-tock——"

Another drop. Dripping from the top of the head.

Xie Xingyin's heart tightened and he looked up suddenly, his eyes met a huge black shadow hanging above his head.

The ugly monster with limbs appeared silently on the canopy above him at some point. Countless hands grasped the crumbling branches and stared at Xie Xingyin with its dark and empty eye sockets.

Xie Xingyin said "fuck" in his heart.

Without giving him time to react, the sharp claws that were tearing away bones and flesh were grabbing at him without mercy. Xie Xingyin reflexively raised his head to avoid it. The long and sharp nails on the rotten claws were dangerously grazing his throat.

Grab it.

Fortunately, he reacted quickly. If the carotid artery had been scratched by those blade-like nails, there would have been blood splatters on the spot.

——Not to mention that the thing hasn’t been washed for thousands of years, so scratches from it might lead to infection.

When the blow missed, the thing let out a shrill scream, and without giving him a chance to breathe, it rushed towards Xie Xingyin with both hands and feet.

It moved as if it was stuck to the tree trunk, crawling with several arms at the same time, carrying the wind. In the blink of an eye, Xie Xingyin could already see its dark eye sockets and grinning corners of its mouth.

Just as it screamed strangely and was about to pounce, Xie Xingyin tilted his center of gravity and fell straight down from the tree, suddenly falling into the thick bushes under the tree.

Logically speaking, there is no difference between jumping from a height of ten meters and committing suicide, but the bush where he fell was full of overlapping vines, which were softer than expected.

Although Xie Xingyin fell so hard that stars appeared in his eyes, he did not break any bones and could still stand up.

He didn't even care to see if the monster was catching up. He shook his dazed head, got up on his hands and knees and ran. As soon as he took a step, his ankle suddenly tightened, causing him to stumble forward as he leaned forward.

Xie Xingyin grinned and looked down, and saw that his ankle was tightly hooked by something. It was a dark green vine, which was unusually thick.

He kicked hard twice but couldn't get away, and when he touched his waist, he missed it.

——The dagger accidentally fell off when he dropped it, and now it fell under the tree five meters away from him, shining with a metallic luster.

The strength of this vine was astonishing. When Xie Xingyin looked up, he suddenly broke out in a cold sweat. The limb monster was already climbing down from the tree quickly.

The thing looked like a spider, with countless limbs like centipedes. The fear of such strange creatures seemed to be engraved in human genes.

He watched helplessly as the monster quickly approached him, dragging a trail of blood on the grass as it ran, but Xie Xingyin couldn't move and was about to be caught by it.

It was extremely unlucky. Even if I could get the dagger, it was too late.

Xie Xingyin stared, watching that disgusting face getting tighter and tighter, and he could almost smell the rotten smell!

——At the critical moment, just when he thought he was dead, an arrow suddenly shot out from the woods behind him and shot it squarely into the monster's eye socket.

The sharp arrow with its snow-white tail feathers penetrated most of the way, piercing its head. The monster that was attacked suddenly let out a shrill scream.

Xie Xingyin even twitched his eyebrows, and it hurt him just looking at it.

Sure enough, the monster was enraged by the attacker, gave up Xie Xingyin and locked the new target. The monster screamed and chased him in the direction behind him with hands and feet.

One minute, two minutes...

The monster ran away and never came back. Xie Xingyin breathed a long sigh of relief.

He raised his hand to brush away the dead leaves and branches that had splashed on his shirt, and began to think about how to deal with the damn vine under his feet.

——However, it was too late when he discovered that there was more than one vine at all.

Countless vines emerged from the ground, climbed up his ankles, tightly wrapped around his legs, and dragged him into the bushes.

Xie Xingyin's hands were empty and he didn't have any weapons. There were not even stones visible on the grassy grass, which was full of grass roots and gravel. To fight against so many vines, it was just a matter of throwing eggs at stones.

Soon, more and more vines wrapped around his body, and the vines as thick as hemp ropes became tighter and tighter. The rough skin of the vines was covered with sticky secretions, and Xie Xingyin felt his skin being

The area it touched started to feel hot.

He strongly suspected that it was some kind of corrosive liquid that would gradually melt his entire body into nutrients for the vines!

Countless vines emerged from the ground and bound his hands and feet. Xie Xingyin could not move and could only watch as some vines got into his shirt.

They grabbed his wrists, wrapped around his thighs and tied them tightly. Some of them even wanted to get into his mouth.

Xie Xingyin frowned and avoided it, and found that some branches of the vines actually had eyes, looking at him curiously.

After struggling, the ends of his hair fell slightly messily on the side of his face, his skin was slightly red from embarrassment, and he looked a little embarrassed.

Damn it, I might as well let the monster bite me to death!!!

"Too dead." A man in a silver and black uniform kicked the broken arms and limbs scattered on the ground with the toe of his shoe in disgust.

"Burn them all." Another person said, "How come an A-level prop fell out of such a difficult thing?"

"Hey, I said you can leave it alone, okay? Let's go, it's getting dark. We have to get to the camp before dark."

These people took action one after another, burned the monster limbs on the ground to ashes, and then set off again.

"Hey wait! Look, there's a person over there!" After taking a few steps, a sharp-eyed person suddenly shouted.

"Don't move, the more you move, the tighter it will become."

In a hazy state, Xie Xingyin seemed to see a vague figure walking towards him.

The suffocating sense of entanglement suddenly disappeared, and he could breathe again. Xie Xingyin's cheeks were slightly red due to lack of oxygen, and he looked up with distracted eyes, but he couldn't see the man's face clearly.

Before he passed out completely, he only saw the badge on the man's collar.

The intertwined roses and swords gleamed silvery white.

Xie Xingyin was exhausted and fell into a deep sleep. He had a bizarre dream.

In the dream, someone called his brother in a low voice, and gently laid him on the bed, stroking his hot back with his long, cold knuckles.

But when he wanted to see the man's face clearly, his vision was blurry, and he could only see the badge on his collar...

When Xie Xingyin suddenly opened his eyes and woke up, it was already the afternoon of the next day.

The sunshine outside the window is just right, reflecting a beautiful halo on the glass.

He found himself lying in a strange room, with a bouquet of roses in a porcelain vase beside the bed. He didn't know who brought him out from the forest, helped him change his clothes and bandaged his wounds.

It turned out to be a dream.

If there were other people here, they would have found Xie Xingyin lying on his back on the bed, looking at the blank ceiling in confusion.

From the moment he opened his eyes, the scene in front of him became a little strange.

A fluorescent screen appeared in front of my eyes, a bit like the operating interface of a holographic game.

His name and number are written in the upper left corner, while in the upper right corner is a conspicuous countdown column.
