Chapter 35 Gods(1/2)

Wang He very carefully took out the mutated Edas Scripture from the bag.

As soon as his hand touched this scripture, the overflowing holy light rushed into his body.

On his attribute panel, his perception increased by 2 points.

At the same time, his understanding of the things around him seemed to have become clearer.

The scripture itself, however, has returned to its original humble appearance.

Wang He thought for a moment and slowly opened the scripture.

The words on it were completely different from what he had seen in the temple before. They actually turned into the special words on the Immortal Book that he had peeked at in the real world.

After systematic translation, the first chapter in the book was converted into explanatory text.

Only then did Wang He learn the true content of the book in his hand.

It is not the scripture of Eddas, but a book called "The Book of Atonement".

The first chapter of the book tells the story of a male believer of an evil god who embarks on the path of atonement and pursuit of repentance.

But on this road, he encountered greater misfortune, and the whole world seemed to have become his enemy.

At the same time, no one reached out to him.

He was hunted, wanted, and assassinated...

But he finally defeated it all by relying on his own strength.

The irony is that he relied on the power of evil.

The story stops here.

The first chapter is only 2 pages, very concise.

Wang He originally planned to continue turning the pages to see if there were any clues, but the pages at the back were blank.

He remembered something and turned his attention to Sashan.

Sashan just looked at the book in his hand with some surprise, and there was no special change.

"Shashan, does this book make you feel uncomfortable?" Wang He pointed to the book in his hand.

"No." Sashan shook her head, "On the contrary, when I first saw it, I found it very attractive, and it was even difficult to look away."

Wang He nodded, this book has no adverse effects on the undead from the good camp.

The scope of its influence should be the same as the skill description, but it only targets individuals in the good and evil camps, and the influence is more spiritual.

After roughly understanding how to use it, Wang He put it back into his bag.

Looking around, he should be in the main temple of Melikai now, or some forest under the jurisdiction of the main temple.

This special area exists, just like the holy spring in the Eddas Temple before, and it belongs to the holy land part of the temple.

When he became a senior believer of Melikai, he had obtained 2 god-given skills.

But according to the mission description, these skills need to be unlocked in the main temple.

So, he called Sasan and headed towards the forest in the direction where the unicorn left.

This forest is dense and vast, and searching for people in it will be very difficult.

But with a little observation, you can find that in the distance, there is a towering oak tree above the forest.

Different from all the oak trees he had seen before, this oak tree was unusually huge.

To describe the knowledge of modern society, it may be as high as twenty or thirty floors.

The huge and lush canopy seemed to block out the sky and the sun, creating a large shadow, as if it wanted to cover the entire forest.

It was surrounded by a layer of light green light.

In the air near the forest, there are some green light spots floating everywhere. They are like fairies dancing in the wind.

Guided by these extremely conspicuous road signs, Wang He and Shashan quickly arrived at the bottom of the oak tree.

Wang He saw from a distance that Melikai and the unicorn were standing somewhere at the root of the tree.

After walking in, he noticed that Melika clenched her palms tightly, as if she was praying for something with her eyes closed.

Do the gods themselves still have gods to believe in?

Or is it because of the incarnation issue?

After Wang He approached to a certain distance, he stopped and did not get closer.

He waited quietly for Melikai's prayer to end.

It is basic etiquette in the workplace not to interfere with what the other person is busy doing.

Time passed and Melikai quickly ended her prayer.

She seemed to have noticed Wang He's arrival and walked directly to his location.

The unicorn followed Melikai swaggering and glared at Wang He a few times, as if he had completely forgotten what he had just done to trick Wang He.

Melikai didn't have any extra words, but suddenly said: "Abel, take out the seed I gave you before."

Wang He didn't ask any more questions. He took out the box wrapped in layers of fabric from his bag and opened it.

Lying quietly inside was the strange seed that Melikai had delivered to him from the beginning.

Melika stepped forward and took the seed into her hand very gently.

Wang He just watched her actions without any intention of stopping or asking.

Melikai asked: "What are you not asking?"

Wang He shrugged and replied: "Whatever you want to tell me, I will tell you without asking. But if you don't want to tell me, there is no point in asking."

"I have studied this seed several times before, but I couldn't find anything. However, since you want me to take it out here, it certainly has its meaning."

"There must be basic trust between allies, right?"

Before Melika could react, the unicorn immediately ran to Wang He's side after hearing this, shouting loudly: "That's right! We are allies, and all our actions are for the common benefit of both parties!"

It is mentioning the resurrection scroll.

Wang He didn't care about it, but he didn't agree with it either.

Melika looked at him for a long time before saying: "This seed will become the key to the celebration, so I will keep it for the time being."

"Abel, come here. I will fulfill the promise I made at that time."

After hearing this, Wang He quickly approached Melikai.

Sashan was a little surprised. Miss Meili and Abel didn't seem to be just teammates.

What does "ally" in Wang He's words mean?

Although Sasan is simple, she is not stupid.

On the contrary, she is extremely smart.

Long-term work as a core priest of the Temple of the Moon has allowed her to develop her ability to communicate with believers and the public, as well as to observe their emotions.

Her own high perception value further boosts her abilities.

She is also talented in temple management.

It's just that in front of Wang He, it's not easy for her to directly explain what abilities she has.

She is not good at self-recommendation, which seems inconsistent with the teachings of a noble God.

Wang He gave her a goal to survive, and at the same time encouraged her more like a mentor in daily life, and trusted her so much that he even gave her half of the platinum coins she had received through previous registration for safekeeping.

So, she hopes she can make a difference.

But Wang He's wisdom, which seemed to be able to solve any problem, made her often feel that she could not do anything to help him.

What she helped Wang He the most was with her outstanding strength and the violence she showed with her hammer.

This feeling was a bit bad for her.

Meili is different. She has strength and mystery. She may even be related to the gods in the forest. Even Wang He respects her.

The more they compared, the more uneasy she felt.

Finally, she made up her mind and prepared to confess to Wang He and explain all her abilities so that Wang He could fully demonstrate her value.

Only in this way can she truly help Wang He, the benefactor who saved her.

Wang He was stunned for a moment in front of Melikai. He heard the system's prompt about changes in the follower system.

"We'll check it out in detail later."

He wasn't quite sure what was going on, and now he needed to take care of Melikai's side of things first.

"Abel, please lower your head."

Melika asked him to bow his head. Wang He recalled the situation when he was taught the basic Druid profession and prepared to bow.

But he soon felt something was wrong.
