Chapter 3 Take Back
Dong, da, da, da, da, da...
After listening carefully for a few seconds, Qi Yi was sure that someone was knocking on the window. The force was not heavy, there was no rhythm, and the sound was a little dull, as if he was patting with his palm.
But there is nothing outside the window...
No, every time the tapping sounded, there seemed to be a black shadow passing by quickly, which was very blurry, and Qi Yi couldn't be sure if he was dazzled.
He turned off the lights in the bathroom and walked slowly towards the window.
Without the interference of light, the scene outside became much clearer. Qi Yi saw that a crow was surrounded not far from the window.
These crows flew up and down the detachment building, but none of them made a scream. The sound of flapping their wings was very small, and Qi Yi could not hear anything in the window.
Standing in the dark toilet and watching a large group of crows flying silently outside, Qi Yi's pupils became dark and deep unconsciously.
This picture is a bit weird. Qi Yi couldn't find a reliable explanation with some details after watching it for a long time.
Dong!
The sound of knocking on the window sounded again, and a black shadow flashed in front of Qi Yi, and the sound became much clearer.
Qi Yi held his breath and looked in the direction of the shadow passing by, but still found nothing.
Not far away, the crows were still hovering, flying up and down, as if they were performing some silent ceremony.
Unable to figure it out, Qi Yi simply took out his cell phone and took a few videos, staring out the window without moving.
Until one hand was put on his shoulder.
"Damn!" Qi Yi was so scared that he shivered. He instinctively twisted his waist and turned around and pulled back.
Bang!
The visitor stretched out his slap and took Qi Yi's elbow steadily.
"Damn it! What are you doing?" The other party was also startled.
Only then did Qi Yi realize the other party: "Old Chi? Why are you elusive?"
Several huge question marks appeared on Lao Chi's forehead, and he gritted his teeth: "I'm elusive? Brother, you said you were going to the bathroom, I'll wait for you for a long time and you won't come back. When you come over, you will see you as if you were possessed by an evil spirit. Turn off the light and stand by the window. I don't know what you are doing. I haven't asked you what the hell is doing."
Qi Yi was interrupted by Lao Chi, and his tense nerves relaxed a little. He turned to the side and asked Lao Chi to stand over: "Come here, I found a very strange situation. There were a group of crows flying around outside."
"Crow? What's the weirdness of the crow?" Lao Chi looked puzzled and walked over: "There's nothing, where is the crow you mentioned?"
Qi Yi was stunned when he asked this. When he turned around, the window was empty. Under the blue and black sky, he could only see the disrepaired street lights downstairs. Because the voltage was unstable, it was light and dark, and there was no crow.
He pushed open the window, supported his hands on the windowsill, and stretched out his head to look out, and the group of crows seemed to have evaporated from the world.
"Strange, when you patted me on the shoulder, there was a large group of black outside, why was it gone?"
"You're confused?" Lao Chi said: "It's hard to see one or two birds in the city these days, let alone a large area. Have you not had hallucinations for too long?"
Qi Yi shook his head repeatedly: "I can't, I took photos and videos."
As he said that, he handed the phone to Lao Chi, continued to lie on the windowsill, and looked around, but there were crows there. After searching for a long time, he only found a few black down on the windowsill.
It was only then that he noticed that the sound of knocking on the window seemed to have disappeared.
"It's true, these crows are really weird." After watching the video, Lao Chi returned the phone to Qi Yi, but he was so nervous that he didn't care about it at all: "But it's strange, what's the matter with us? You are a forensic doctor and not a biologist, what do you care about it?"
Qi Yi just felt it was strange, and he liked to ask questions when he encountered problems, but now he had no idea about his own affairs, so he really couldn't care about so much.
But he just left directly, Qi Yi felt unwilling to accept it again.
"Let's go, go back and watch the surveillance monitor." Lao Chi became a little impatient and urged him repeatedly, so Qi Yi had to follow.
When he walked to the door, Lao Chi turned on the lights, and Qi Yi looked back and saw that the group of crows seemed to be back.
Qi Yi thought to himself: "So did these crows gather here because of the lightning? I still feel something is wrong."
Lao Chi, who had walked out for a few steps, pressed his feet and turned sideways: "What are you still watching? You're leaving."
Qi Yi followed silently and walked back to the monitoring room with him.
Just find a seat to sit down, Lao Chi looked back at Qi Yi: "You can review all the surveillance monitors in the detachment. Apart from that, you can say everything you need directly. I will try to cooperate with you. We don't have much time left, so you can solve the corpse stolen case as soon as possible."
"I may only have one night, right?" Qi Yi raised his hand and rubbed his eyes: "Is there coffee? Strong tea is OK. I'm so sleepy and my mind is buzzing."
"Is there any earrings? I'll make it for you. Add milk and sugar?"
"No need, it's better to have a black coffee." Qi Yi said. After saying that, he turned his neck around, rubbed his shoulders, got up and walked to the computer, and called out the surveillance camera in the basement, looking at it with a four-segment screen.
Lao Chi echoed, took out his cell phone, lowered his voice, and asked someone to help him take the coffee and cup, while looking at Qi Yi from time to time.
The reception of information on the other side was a little slow, and Lao Chi talked for a long time.
Qi Yi was upset by him: "Don't look at me like that. You are blocking the door, I can't go anywhere. Besides, just get a coffee, you can go by yourself."
Old Chi's little thought was broken by Qi Yi, and he was not embarrassed. He put down his cell phone, looked at the two corners of the roof, and said, "There is a surveillance there. If I leave you alone, we both have to be investigated."
"Whatever." Of course, Qi Yi knew where there was a surveillance monitor, so he didn't even bother to raise his head.
It was the first time he had solved so many cases that he was regarded as a suspect. He also understood Lao Chi's concerns.
The monitoring room suddenly became quiet, leaving only the sound of Qi Yi clicking the mouse and pressing the keyboard from time to time.
Lao Chi was thinking about saying something to ease the atmosphere.
Bang bang bang bang!
The rapid knock on the door interrupted his thoughts, and Lao Chi stood up and walked towards the door: "It's probably the coffee is here. Come on, let you taste my craft tonight."
The person knocking outside was obviously just polite. He opened the door before he could walk over. A young policeman came in and said in panic: "Old Chi Lao Chi, the lost body was found, but..."
"Finished? OK! Where did you find it?" Lao Chi was shocked.
Qi Yi’s focus is a little different: “But what?”
"Damn!" The policeman seemed to have just seen Qi Yi, and his eyes widened, his eyes full of confusion, and he looked like he was seeing a ghost: "Old Qi, why are you here?"
Qi Yi knew it in his mind: "You seem to be surprised when I am here, so it has something to do with me?"
