Chapter 58 Disguise

Luo Jiaojiao rode a horse and took a small path into Beijing, sleeping in the open all the way, which was so hard.

The imperial city is as prosperous and lively as ever. The Donglang Tea Arts Store is not the official and rich, or the official and famous.

Madam Liang was graceful and met many nobles in the welcome and sent him to the place of visit.

On this day, the teahouse was closed. Mrs. Liang beat her waist and sat in her attic to have a tea and rest.

"Madam! Master's message!" Mrs. Liang's personal guard Zhuang Qing presented a bamboo tube to her.

"This little girl Luo! It's really uneasy!" Madam Liang looked at the silk book sent by Bo Langjun, and couldn't help but get angry from the bottom of her heart. She ignited a silk stick and whispered to Zhuang Qing to guard the East City Gate. If she saw this woman entering the city, she stared at it.

Zhuang Qing took Luo Jiaojiao's portrait and took a look, then returned it to Madam Liang.

Madam Liang carefully measured the portrait of Luo Jiaojiao who was sent by the thin man named Feige.

"I look pretty, but unfortunately I have no brains!" Mrs. Liang also placed the portrait on the candlelight and lit it.

After several days of running around, Luo Jiaojiao finally arrived in the capital. She covered her face with a face towel, which almost made Zhuang Qing not recognize her.

Fortunately, Zhuang Qing saw Luo Jiaojiao when she came to the Tea Arts Store last time, otherwise she might have missed it this time.

The exhausted Luo Jiaojiao found an inn and stayed in. Zhuang Qing saw clearly that Luo Jiaojiao was staying in Xingyuan Inn, so she went back to report.

"Don't disturb her, just protect her!" Madam Liang said expressionlessly. In fact, she was very reluctant. If Bo Langjun had not told her to secretly protect Luo Jiaojiao, she would not care about her life or death.

The first thing Luo Jiaojiao did when she stayed in the inn was to take a shower. She didn't want to move if she was soaking in the bathtub. If the water hadn't gradually cooled down, she would probably have sat and fell asleep.

Luo Jiaojiao, who had changed into clean clothes, threw the changed clothes directly into the bathtub.

Luo Jiaojiao returned to her guest room and fell asleep just as she headed to the pillow. She slept until noon the next day before she woke up.

The hungry Luo Jiaojiao put on a scarf and went downstairs to eat a big bowl of noodles, then came to the street market. She entered a ready-to-wear shop, stood in front of men's clothes for a while, and then walked into the fitting room.

Zhuang Qing stayed at the door of the garment workshop for most of the day, but no Luo Jiaojiao came out. He ran into the garment shop, and where was Luo Jiaojiao's shadow?

Luo Jiaojiao changed into men's clothes, washed away the powder on her face, drew her eyebrows, tied her hair bun, and put on a hat.

Zhuang Qing never expected Luo Jiaojiao to dress up as a man, so he threw her away.

Luo Jiaojiao didn't take a long time to go back to the inn. This made Zhuang Qing, who was guarding the inn, breathed a sigh of relief. If he did not protect Luo Jiaojiao because he lost someone, then his guilt would be great.

Luo Jiaojiao took a picture of the distribution of houses of nobles in the imperial city in the street market, and then sat behind several cases in the guest room and started looking at it.

The Zhao family's house is located in the northeast corner of the East City. The house is not small and is a mansion given by Empress Lu.

Since she knew the residence of Zhao Duwei, Luo Jiaojiao lit the picture on the candlelight. She sat several cases and wondered how to enter the Zhao Mansion driver to find the antidote.

The next day, Luo Jiaojiao got up early in the morning to wash up. She planned to go to the near Zhao Mansion to explore the way first.

Luo Jiaojiao was wearing men's clothing, darkened her skin with a special powder cream, tied her hair bun, left a strand of hair on her forehead, and made her eyebrows thicker. Even her father Luo Yi might not be able to recognize her at a glance.

Zhuang Qing also had to admire Luo Jiaojiao's manly outfit. He followed Luo Jiaojiao to the streets and alleys near Zhao Mansion in secret.

"This Zhao Mansion's mansion is indeed extraordinary!" Luo Jiaojiao sat down at the small wine shop facing Zhao Mansion. She asked for a pot of wine and a plate of side dishes to drink slowly by herself.

Zhao Duwei has never come out since he returned to the mansion in the morning. As long as Luo Jiaojiao avoids him, the possibility of being recognized is unlikely.

Luo Jiaojiao came to the restaurant for two days to drink, but she couldn't find a way to enter Zhao's mansion. She felt depressed and drank an extra pot.

As night fell, the shopkeeper reminded Luo Jiaojiao not to miss the curfew time.

Luo Jiaojiao paid the coins and staggered to get up and walked out of the restaurant. She glanced at the two lanterns with orange halos in front of Zhao's door, and muttered as she walked: "I'll go in sooner or later!"
