Chapter 61(1/2)

Jumping gangs to fight

There are billions of galaxies in the universe whose size cannot be measured.

The Milky Way is just one of these billions of galaxies.

The Milky Way galaxy that humans call home contains 300 billion stars with a diameter of 100,000 light-years.

It is difficult for humans to understand the universe, at least not at this stage.

They still need the Emperor's radiance to survive in this remote corner of the universe.

For people living in this era, the Human Empire is the most powerful existence they have ever known.

For the indifferent and boundless universe, the vast human empire is not worth mentioning.

The emergence of the Great Rift has made the connection between subspace and the real universe even closer, and the wind of ether is raging.

It also makes the chaos and killing even more terrifying.

The war spread everywhere.

Even if a son of the Emperor is revived, the Empire will have to pay a heavy price in order to continue to maintain the survival of humanity.

Countless war engines set out from the Connaught System, headed towards the Charadon Sector under the leadership of the Emperor's own sons.

The first battle broke out in the Orbo system in the Charadon sector.

The Obo Galaxy is a galaxy with a binary star system.

A star in its prime, emitting blue-white light, uses the power of tides to lock onto another old red dwarf star.

Red dwarfs and other planets in the Obo galaxy are controlled by the strong gravity of the host star and are forced to perform periodic motion around it.

The distance between the two stars is equivalent to a thousand times from the sun to Pluto, which is more than 4,000 light hours and 166 light days.

Converted into conventional units, it is nearly 8,000 astronomical units, which is 1.2 trillion kilometers.

Based on superhuman speed, he would probably be able to fly until he died of starvation.

Such a distance is unimaginable for ordinary humans.

But from a stellar perspective, the distance between the two stars is already dangerously close.

Being too close together causes the four planets in this galaxy to suffer from wild and unstable orbits, and are tormented by conflicting solar winds.

This type of star system is very common in the Milky Way.

Multi-star systems often cause planets in the galaxy to be swallowed by stars or ejected into the dark and cold void.

The Obo galaxy is relatively lucky, as it has left four planets.

Thanks to a combination of gravitational currents and fierce solar winds, these four worlds have become cosmic furnaces, with atmospheres rich in heavy elements and precious isotopes.

In order to develop these precious resources, humans have established mining sites one after another.

A giant hive city was also built on Planet 2 that extended deep underground.

The residents live deep underground, avoiding terrible radiation and stellar storms, and maintaining a normal life.

Mining stations located in the orbits of various planets collect resources from various planets in the Obo system day and night, feeding the empire's industrial machinery.

The orcs don't want to develop, they are more accustomed to plundering and destroying.

Every once in a while, they come to plunder.

Either hand over some supplies, or destroy everything.

In the past, their blackmails have been successful.

The nobles don't want to waste too much time fighting with them. Being able to use part of their resources to buy peace is a very cost-effective deal for them.

Unfortunately, the orcs were not lucky this time.

They happened to bump into the outgoing fleet, and a big battle broke out.

In the orbit of the third gas giant planet in the Obo galaxy, countless energy beams and explosions are flashing in space.

The Orc warships operated on principles beyond the comprehension of the Mechanicus priests.

It's full of patches and looks extremely rough.

There were several large warships, still emitting black smoke, just like steamships in the age of navigation.

The thick black smoke made the mechanical priests wonder whether the orcs were using boilers to burn coal to fly those warships that would fall apart at a glance.

No one can believe that such a thing can fly into space to fight.

But orcs have this ability.

Their technology is always so incredible.

The fleets of both sides fought fiercely and silently in space.

Both humans and orcs are committed to destroying each other, unleashing devastating attacks on each other wantonly.

Battleships bite each other tightly.

Space is filled with straight lines of lasers, parabolas of torpedoes, and the mess left by explosions.

A large number of delayed nuclear bombs were thrown all over the battlefield. Once touched, the ship would be destroyed and people would be killed.

Atomic shock waves exploded in the void between the two fleets, and electromagnetic shocks produced long-lasting auditory hallucinations.

Battles in space often start when the distance is tens of thousands of kilometers, but now the two warring parties are close at hand.

The distance was so close that even the orc predators couldn't hold themselves back.

These crazy greenskins simply set their crudely made jetpacks on fire, trying to jump into gangs and fight directly.

The Primaris Space Marines also fought back, killing every Ork who tried to board the ship.

The fighting and roaring of the twins resounded through every communication channel.

In the horrific flames of war, an ugly, bloated orc warship was seriously injured during the siege and was on the verge of death.

The big orc boss on the ship beat the heads of the orc boys and asked them to cooperate with him to save the battleship.

But what they did was doomed to failure.

Under the continuous bombardment of the Imperial warship, a series of explosions occurred in the armory of the Orc warship.

Along with the lasing fuel and ion arc, countless orc corpses exploded from the inside of the orc warship.

The scene was like a long tube mushroom spitting out spores.

On the main ship of the huge orc fleet, the orc boss saw that a powerful battleship was destroyed, and he couldn't help but let out a deep roar.

He grabbed a fart and slammed it against the wall to vent his anger.

This move made other orcs cheer excitedly.

"Destroy these damn shrimp ships, this galaxy belongs to us."

The orc boss roared and asked the fleet to launch a more violent attack.

Cheers came from the communications of all the orc warships.

"WAAAGH.."

"WAAAGH.."

"WAAAGH.."

Those orcs cheered because of the order to attack. Even though such an order was almost like sending someone to death, they didn't have the slightest fear, but were excited instead.

As the happiest race in the galaxy.

Death does not scare orcs, it only makes them happier.

Faced with the orcs' crazy counterattack, humans refused to give in, and the battle between the two forces became increasingly fierce.

Chapter Master Corvu of the Nova Chapter is responsible for leading this fleet against the Orcs.

His ship is the Emperor's Sword, a prestigious battleship.

At this time, he was standing in front of the console of the Emperor's Sword.

The Chapter Chaplain stood to his left, the Librarian to his right.

The captains of the first and second companies stood in front of him.

The faces of the five people were illuminated by the light scattered by the holographic projection in front of them, making them look a little pale.

They have completed the upgrade of the Primaris Space Marines in accordance with the Primarch's orders.

The body wearing power armor looks taller and more majestic.

"They are heading for defeat." Corvu examined the battlefield projection, his voice calm and composed, "But I think we can win faster and then support the ground war on Planet 2."

The Orcs dropped a group of Orc Boys onto the surface of Planet 2 in the Orb system before they arrived.

The Astra Militarum and some of the Primaris Space Marines have gone to the surface to fight.

But facing the orc warriors who were like waves, they could barely hold on.
