Chapter 788: Breaking the Dream of Abundant Abundance in One Night (2)

The Guandi Temple in Kaoshantun is not large in size. As soon as you enter the yard, the wooden fenced courtyard walls and gates, the five main halls are built with wood and stone, with an area of about 40 square meters; the left and right side halls are all three, which worship the land and mountain gods respectively.

Zhou Tianzhu led Fu Bao and seven others into the courtyard. He saw that the wooden door of the main hall was closed and two people in Taoist robes stood apart. One of them was the arrogant young man who had checked Fu Bao before.

This person is Liu Chenglin, the third son of Liu Tingxian. In another time and space history, Liu Tingxian took over as the head of the sect after his death. However, because he was sentenced to exile, Liu Chenglin never returned to the pass in his life. Finally, in the 22nd year of Jiaqing, due to an accident in the Zhengua Sect, the Qing court followed the clues and found him and was sentenced to beheading on the spot. At this point, Liu Zuochen's lineage was considered to be extinct, and no one could be found as the head of the sect.

Liu Chenglin said to Zhou Tianzhu: "You take them to the Shanshen Temple to collect vetiver silver. Then I will take them to pay homage to the master in turn."

Zhou Tianzhu bowed and said, "Yes."

The so-called "vetiver silver" is the membership fee that must be paid before entering the church to become a disciple. Fu Bao and others followed Zhou Tianzhu into the mountain temple on the left. There was already a middle-aged man in a Taoist robe sitting behind the table, with pen, ink, paper and inkstone and a booklet on it.

Under the instruction of Zhou Tianzhu, everyone walked to the table one by one and reported their name, hometown, age, residence and referee. The Taoist man wrote a dragon and snake, and recorded it one by one.

After everyone registers, they will have to pay the fee for apprenticeship. The fee for apprenticeship set by Liu Tingxian and his son is 33 cents per person, which means "thirty-three heavens". This money doesn't seem to be much, but it is actually a seductive reason. When you enter the church and want to get to the level of "full official" who can open a cathedral and accept disciples, you have to keep donating money to accumulate merit.

Fu Bao paid the money and was about to go out with his bag, the Taoist who registered the book called him and asked, "Do you want to give your cotton coat to the master?"

"Yes. People outside said just now..."

The Taoist interrupted without waiting for him to finish speaking, "Leave it to me together. If you enter the book first, the master will know."

Zhou Tianzhu, who was standing next to him, said, "What do you say, you just do it?"

Fu Bao had no choice but to hand over the bag in his hand. After the man checked the clothes and logged them into the account book, Zhou Tianzhu asked him to wait in the yard.

The Bagua Sect’s entry ceremony is one-on-one, rather than playing the gongs and drums like the Tiandihui or later the Xiaodaohui and Yihequan, and talking about pomp.

After almost a stick of incense, half of the door of the main hall opened from the inside, and a guy who had completed the apprenticeship procedure came out. Behind him was the young Taoist he had seen before. His eyes fell on Fu Bao and waved, "Come in."

There were many types of White Lotus Sects in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and there were great differences in the teachings due to their region and teachings. But one thing is basically the same, that is, to use the teachings to enter the rituals to increase the authority of the teaching leaders and the mystery of the teachings to achieve mental control over the believers and make them willingly work for the leader.

So when Fu Bao walked into the hall with his head and his head narrowed his head, he saw the dim candlelight, the clay sculpture of Guandi, sitting on the shrine, standing on the left and right, stroking his beautiful beard with one hand and putting the other on his legs, lush and towering, and his slightly open eyes seemed to be able to see through all the good and evil in the world.

Next to the incense table in front of the statue, an old Taoist with white hair and beard sat cross-legged on the Grand Master's chair, his eyes closed, and he muttered a word: "...The Tao cannot be separated for a moment, but it cannot be separated from the Tao. The Tao is not far away from people, but people are far away. For the great Tao now, why do you need to seek outside? You only know how to be straightforward..."

The old Taoist was naturally Liu Tingxian. What he recited was the most important treasure scroll of the Bagua Sect, "Five Women's Talismanship". There are also folks called "Five Saints of the Five Saints", "Five Women's Talismanship and the "Five Saints of the Treasure Scroll".

The full text of this "Classic Book" is less than 5,000 words, which seems not worth mentioning compared to the piles of treasure scrolls of other sects in the Ming and Qing dynasties. However, in terms of its influence, it is difficult for other treasure scrolls to reach.

In another time and space history, this book has been published and circulated among the lower classes from the early years of Kangxi to the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Although the Qing court repeatedly investigated and banned it, it was difficult to ban it. It is obvious that the influence is so great.

Having said that, some people may be interested in the book "Five Women's Preaching". Well, this is a hodgepodge of mixed the theories of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and also tells the story of how to practice inner alchemy and pursue immortality. It can also be said to be a product library of the ancient pyramid scheme organization Bagua Buddhism.

In the book, a couple named Chang Xiu and Shan, who worshipped Buddha with devout devotion and was dedicated to good deeds. One day, Chang Xiu said goodbye to his wife in order to visit the Great Way of Longevity, and went to a remote place in the mountains to see a hut of light, so he went to visit. He found that there were five peasant women spinning and weaving cloths. In fact, these five were transformed by five Bodhisattvas, Guanyin, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, white clothes, and fish basket. Because Chang Xiu was sincere in his daily life, he was waiting for enlightenment here.

It is said that Buddhist Bodhisattvas should speak Buddhism when they come out to enlighten the world, right? But in "The Five Women's Pastoral", the five Bodhisattvas talk about things from the Confucian and Taoist inner alchemy schools. For example, what Liu Tingxian just read was from the beginning of "The Doctrine of the Mean".

In the Ming and Qing dynasties, all secret sects advocated the unity of the three religions and even the integration of all religions. The scriptures also mixed with a large number of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. This matter sounds simple, but it is actually very difficult to write. In addition to having to read the Four Books and Five Sutras, one must also have a wide range of knowledge and literacy in Taoism and Buddhist scriptures, and have certain knowledge and literacy.

Although it is a hodgepodge, the contents of the book still have real things. You should know that a large number of historical facts from ancient times to the present prove that if any sect wants to achieve control over the underlying class, it is useless to rely solely on illusory and ethereal words; it must have fascinating doctrines and the inner power that is believed and pursued. "The Five Women's Mission" has this characteristic.

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! Taking folk martial arts as an example, from this treasure scroll, five-handed, Changshouquan, Dujiaquan, Liguaquan, Shenfu, Five-step Shenfu, Laohongquan, Dahongquan, Baguaquan, Changshouquan, Innate Wuji Daoshengquan, Yihequan (Plum Blossom Fist).

As for Baguazhang founded by Dong Haichuan during the Xianfeng period, it is said that he met the "Yunpan Ancestor" in Jiuhua Mountain, Anhui. Hehe, let's talk nonsense, listen nonsense!

Fu Bao, who entered the hall, knelt on the cushion in front of Liu Tingxian under the gesture of Liu Chenglin's eyes. At this moment, Liu Chenglin took a piece of yellow paper with handwriting from the incense table and said in a low voice: "I'll read it, do you understand it by chanting it?"

"Small understand."

"Kowtow and burn incense and candles, and forty-eight vows to save sentient beings, without any chance, without any wish, without any wish, without any wish, and without any wish, and with the vow, the world. After seeking the Dharma, if you violate the precepts, repent in the middle of the journey, and reveal the true words and practices of the teachings, one will not affect the Holy Emperor, two will not implicate the introduction, three will not implicate the fellow disciples, commit the self-repaying, and self-cultivate and self-satisfied. All the eighteen levels of hell, one will recognize one wish as evidence. Teach the mind method, lightly spread the words, leak the truth, Yin kill the Yang, turn this body into pus and blood, die in the water, die in the fire, and force people to dismember the corpse, and the world will hate it."

What Liu Chenglin read was called "Return to the Vow", which is a necessary procedure for getting started with the Bagua Buddhism. Not only the Bagua Buddhism, but also all the secret sects of the Qing Dynasty had similar things when they were apprenticed to the master. The newcomer swears through swearing, emphasizing that entering the church is a voluntary person and will strictly keep the secrets. If something happens, you cannot implicate others.

The dim candlelight, the majestic statue of gods, the "god master" who chants with words, refers to the swearing of heaven to earth. All of these have cast a mysterious color on the rituals of entry, and have laid the groundwork for the obsession of the believers after entering the church.

In fact, there is another characteristic of Bagua Buddhism, which is that it is a gang. Anyone who wants to wash his hands will be severely dealt with, at the least, whipped or executed at the worst. This also blocks the backbone of those believers with unsolicited will and can only follow them wholeheartedly.

Liu Chenglin deserves to have learned systematically since childhood. Although his voice is low, it is extremely penetrating, so Fu Bao does not have any difficulty in following the comments.

Finally, after a long discussion and Fu Bao was so confused, the apprenticeship article entered the last paragraph.

"Fu Bao, a disciple of the foolish family, asked the Holy Emperor to ask the Holy Emperor. The roller shutters were removed, and the clear air rose and the turbid air fell. It was originally a true scripture without words. Three heads opened the vacuum road, and a pillar of faith came to his hometown. The disciples learned late and entered late, and there were countless people. Please ask the Holy Emperor to take care of him, and the disciples kowtowed to the Holy Emperor."

Next, Fu Bao kowtowed to Liu Ting on the Taishi chair under the guidance of Liu Chenglin. Until then, Liu Tingxian, who pretended to be incredible and profound, slowly opened his eyes and said to Fu Bao in a voice: "I heard that your mother is seriously ill and has bad luck. Well, I have a method called "Holding the Merit", which I will teach you today."

"I thanked Master Saint Emperor! Thank Master Saint Emperor!" Fu Bao kowtowed repeatedly after hearing this.

"After you go back, you must face the sun, hold your hands in your chest, and sit cross-legged with your eyes. Recite the Eight Character Mantra eighty-one times. The mantra says, "I am empty in my hometown and have no biological parents. As long as you recite it for a hundred days, you can put a needle to cure your mother's illness. Listen carefully to the needle method..."

Liu Tingxian talked for a long time, and finally instructed: "You must remember that the eight-character mantra is a secret within the church. If the father and son do not pass it on, gold and silver will not be exchanged. Go, after returning, you must respect the heaven and earth, respect your parents, and be harmonious with each other."

"The villain understands it. He must follow the master's order."

Fu Bao kowtowed three times in a row, stood up in a daze, pushed open the hall door and walked out, but was blown by the cold wind and woke up again.

This is a cheating father! Thirty-three cents and a cotton coat are used to get this little trick, which is really worth it! The North Haijun gave her medicine mother to the ground in less than half an hour after taking it, and she also needs money. The two sides compare, and the higher the lower ones are immediately revealed.

He was thinking about it all, and suddenly he looked up and saw three meteors emitting red light rising from the south, one chasing the other, drawing three arc-shaped red lines in the dark night sky. It was so weird and weird.

Immediately afterwards, the barking of dogs began to sound in the village, and the barking of dogs continued to stop. The movement was like the mountain king entering the village in winter.

Fu Bao knew that the North Hai Army was coming. He looked around and felt that it would be safer to go out to find a place. Unexpectedly, as soon as he raised his foot, a believer ran in from outside and screamed like a ghost howling: "Not good! It's lost the wind!"

With a squeak behind him, Liu Chenglin flashed out of the hall, stood under the eaves and asked, "What's wrong?"

The believer said anxiously: "Not good! There were many people coming from the east and south. They didn't know what magic weapon they were holding, and they looked like they were in broad daylight from a distance!"

Liu Chenglin was shocked and reached into his robe. In a blink of an eye, he was wearing a short knife in his hand. He was about to turn around and talk to his father Liu Tingxian in the hall when another figure ran in from outside. The person who came was none other than Liu Tingxian's eldest son Liu Zhen.

"Third brother, it's not good! There are so many people coming from the west and north. Take our father to the south!"

"Who? How many people are there?!" Under the changing light of the signal flare in the air, Liu Chenglin's face turned black and red, and he looked a little ferocious.

"I can't see clearly, the things they are holding are shaking so that people can't open their eyes. Hurry! It will be too late if they don't leave!"

Without having time to think about it, Liu Chenglin turned around and entered the hall and grabbed his father's arm, and said, "Dad! The Beihai soldiers are here, leave quickly!"

Liu Tingxian was no longer as he had just been talking nonsense. When he heard the Beihai soldiers coming, his legs were weak. He was involuntarily held by his two sons and left the main hall without touching his feet.

The father and son were about to flee when they saw a sudden bright light ahead, as if countless suns had fallen to the earth, illuminating the empty space in front of the Guandi Temple, making it difficult for snakes and rats to hide.

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! Suddenly, a very strange long voice sounded, the sound was rising and falling, sometimes far and sometimes near, like a wolf howling, and also like a ghost crying. At first glance, my heart was frightened, and I listened carefully and shivered.

At this time, the guys who were gathering in the empty field to practice boxing and martial arts were all stunned. Because the light that was so dazzling, they could only turn sideways or backs, hold their arms in front of them, and dare not look directly. Liu Tingxian and his son behind them were not willing to surrender. The three of them turned around and returned to the Guandi Temple, and the two wooden doors were closed immediately.

After a moment, the ghost howling suddenly disappeared, replaced by a loud male voice, accompanied by a deafening stinging sound, which penetrated into the human mind, wishing to pick a few pieces of walls to relieve the anger.

"Listen! We are the Northern Haijun! We lie on the ground with our hands in our arms! Anyone who dares to resist will shoot! No matter how alive or dead!"

As soon as the words were finished, the two gossip scholars were scared by the sound just now or something, so they ran eastward. The other scholars were stunned by the actions of the two, and were hesitating whether they would follow them, and they heard "Bang! Bang!" Two roars, and the two religious scholars were shot almost at the same time, falling to the ground, and there was no movement.

Seeing this scene, a timid believer collapsed to the ground immediately, and the others who were barely standing were trembling, just like a slap.

Didn’t Master Saint Emperor say that we have the “Vajra Body Protection”? Why is that…it’s over?

You should know that the "cultivation" within the Bagua Sect emphasizes the luck of practicing martial arts in the literary field, and learn boxing and martial arts in the martial arts field. Liu Tingxian once told his subordinates many times that cultural schools can chant mantras, and as long as they are thorough in their skills, they can see Wusheng Lao Mother, which is the so-called "the accomplishment of the alchemy is the ladder to heaven"; the martial arts schools learn boxing and stick skills, and when they reach their skills, they can practice the "indestructible body of Vajra" and are not afraid of guns and cannons.

Of course, it will definitely not be possible just by saying it. Just a few months ago, Liu Chenglin demonstrated the techniques of "scattering beans into soldiers" and "five ghosts to carry" in public, which convinced all the believers present.
