Chapter 3: The Truth of the Magician (Part 1)
The soldiers did not dare to leave, and were with them tremblingly.
There were not many people in the City Guard Office in Ceylon City. The real army formed the City Guard’s private guard under the control of the City Guard Office. When the City Guard Office made a fuss, someone had already informed the City Guard Office of the City Guard Office.
Soon, the street outside was already filled with horses running towards the City Guard Bureau. More than a hundred swordsmen surrounded the City Guard Bureau, and ten people jumped off their horses and walked into the City Guard Bureau gate. The gate had been blown up by Jason's fireball.
The swordsmen led by this team were wearing iron armor, pulled out their swords and approached the main hall. The swordsmen following behind them also drew out their weapons.
The swordsman in iron armor saw the situation in the hall and was furious, pointing at Jason and said, "Who are you? How dare you rob the prison! Hurry up and surrender."
"Bastard." Jason reprimanded, with a finger pointing, and a green light flashed, and a stream of acid shot out, hitting the swordsman's face. A stinging sound rang out, white smoke spread, and the acid instantly corroded the swordsman's face. The swordsman screamed and rolled to the ground.
After doing this, Jason said gently to Salin beside him: "Even the enemy, you should not insult the magician. Even the emperor cannot make the magician bow his head. You don't have to be polite to such an rude thing."
"I understand, teacher." Salin replied in a low voice, everyone in the hall was trembling with his ears.
"It's very noisy to pull him out," Jason said to the soldiers opposite. The soldiers who broke in were as if they were amnesty and quickly dragged away the injured soldiers.
"I don't have much time. Who caught my student and brought it to me within half an hour." Jason took out a magic hourglass, put it on the table beside him, and turned it over.
At this time, two more swordsmen in armor came in. The armor of these two men was obviously much higher and looked like officers. The two swordsmen were close in figure, tall and tall, one was red-haired and the other was blonde. The blonde swordsman looked up and saw Jason who was still maintaining lighting techniques, and his heart was chilled.
He is not an ordinary soldier who has no knowledge. There are two magic marks on Jason's gray magic robe, which means he is a level 5 magician. Which idiot is offending such a big man?
The magician's robe has three colors: Level 1 to Level 3 is white, Level 4 to Level 6 is gray, and Level 7 to Level 9 is black. The magic marks on the magic robe represent the level of this magician. The gray-robed wizard is already considered a great magician. Even the city lord cannot afford to offend such a person.
The red-haired swordsman silently saluted Jason, and then said to the soldiers around him: "You, go and catch everyone related to this matter immediately. One less, and you will replace him."
The soldiers glanced at Jason with their eyes. Jason looked expressionless and did not seem to object. The soldiers dispersed.
The red-haired swordsman then said to Jason cautiously: "Master Magician, what else do you need me to do?"
"Well..." Jason pondered for a moment and said, "Don't let your city lord come, I don't want to see him."
The red-haired swordsman was stunned and lowered his head and said, "Yes, Master Magician, this young master is injured. I'll invite a magician to come. What do you think."
"No, he can bear this pain." Jason refused the red-haired swordsman's kindness. He was not in a hurry to treat Salin. Anyway, it was an ordinary injury. Stay for a while so that Salin could remember what happened today. Salin must have done something before being caught. Whether it is right or wrong, there is a lesson that can prevent similar things from happening in the future.
The red-haired swordsman whispered a few words to the blonde swordsman, and the blonde swordsman bowed his head and left the hall. The red-haired swordsman was accompanying him. Salin thought he was going to be finished, but he didn't expect that when the teacher came, the situation changed immediately. Hearing the teacher's tone, even the city lord didn't like to pay attention to it.
Only then did Salin understand the meaning of the magician. Although the book also wrote about the status of the magician, it was always hard to believe that he had not seen it with his own eyes. He also knew the red-haired swordsman. He was from the City Lord's Mansion and was not bad. Last year, he went to get the flour given to the City Lord by himself. This swordsman even gave him a small bag.
In less than half an hour, the four soldiers who captured Salin, the merchant and the servant were arrested.
The six people didn't know what was going on. The merchant saw Salin standing beside Jason and knew that things were not good. He was the first to kneel down on the ground, and his servant also knelt down when he saw the opportunity.
"Who caught my student?" Jason asked coldly.
The four soldiers looked at each other, then looked at the red-haired swordsman standing on the side. The red-haired swordsman seemed to have not seen them, and his eyes looked up. The four soldiers had to bite the bullet and answer: "We caught it. We received a report that he... stole Master Zhanbu's gold coins."
The soldier pointed his finger at the merchant with an innocent look on his face.
"Zhanbu? Is it you, why are you falsely accusing my student?" Jason stared at the businessman and asked word by word.
"Sir, this is a misunderstanding. I recognized the wrong person..."
"You lied, I'll give you another chance." Jason interrupted him.
"Sir, this is true. I have no grudges with him, so how could I frame him? I..."
The merchant had to continue talking. Jason released a magic impatiently. A white light flashed, and an ice cone penetrated the merchant's head and drilled out a blood hole as big as a cup.
"Don't be so idiotic anymore. The magician can detect lies. Let me tell me why I framed my student?" After Jason killed someone casually, he asked the servant again. He didn't have to convict the other party, but just wanted to know if Sarin had caused something.
The servant was already scared and slept on the ground and cried loudly: "Sir, it's not my idea. The master wants to buy Master Metatrim's house. He doesn't want to pass the procedures in the city hall. Master Metatrim is always immortal. The master thought of this idea. It really doesn't matter to me..."
"I know it's none of your business." After Jason said that, he released a wind blade. The light green wind blade instantly cut off the servant's head. Blood gushed, and the head with snot and tears rolled aside.
After Jason finished all this, he said to Salin beside him: "Sallin, it's not your fault, go back with me. I'm very unhappy for you four, I like to catch people so much, so I cut my hands so hard, so I won't catch them again and lose my head."
"Sir, your student is fine, or..." The red-haired swordsman pleaded.
Jason stood up, without looking at the red-haired swordsman, and pulled Salin out of the hall. His voice rang out of the hall: "My students were safe and spared. If they were really dead, I would let you all be buried with you. Tomorrow, the property displayed was counted and sent to the outside of the city, which was to apologize to my students. If one gold coin is missing, I will kill one."
The red-haired swordsman shivered. There was no magician in Ceylon City. If this level 5 magician really started to make trouble, even a massacre was possible. He silently drew out his long sword and walked towards the four soldiers...
Salin was led by Jason and walked out of Ceylon City. The soldiers guarding the city had already received the news and opened the city gate in panic and sent two plague gods away.
When he returned to his ancestral house, Jason then used the Ganlin technique to treat Salin. While he was treating, Jason asked about what happened during the day. Salin said in detail, and Jason roughly understood what was going on. He did not blame Salin, a child, how could he understand the sinister nature of people. This lesson must have made Salin understand that power is the hard truth in this world.
After the treatment, Salin went back to his room to rest, thinking about everything that happened today over and over again. If there were no teacher, no matter how many gold coins were, it would only kill his accomplice.
You must become strong, you must! You must!
He lay on the bed with his eyes open, unable to fall asleep. The room was a little dark, as if it was still in a dungeon. The feeling of palpitations and despair had not disappeared, and the fear of death eroded the young mind. Salin groped out of the bed, lit the candle on the table, then closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep.
The next morning, the red-haired swordsman came with gold coins. It seemed that he was not idle last night, and counting property was not a light job. Jason did not say much to him, but asked Salin to receive him, and would talk to Salin if he had anything to do.
The red-haired swordsman sat in the front hall uneasily. Salin walked down from the upper floor. The red-haired swordsman quickly stood up and said hello to Salin: "Master Metatrim, you are up."
Salin was still a little uncomfortable with the other party's enthusiasm. In the past, when he walked on the street, the swordsmen from the City Lord's Mansion thought they did not exist. The red-haired swordsmen might be good people, but if they had no teacher, he would have just helped him get an extra bag of flour during the holidays. He probably forgot about this matter a long time ago, right?
"Master Metatrilin..." Seeing that Salin was a little dazed, the red-haired swordsman shouted tentatively.
"Well, what's the matter?"
The red-haired swordsman replied awkwardly: "The property of the exhibition has been counted, and there are a total of 2,200 gold coins, and there are two real estates, some livestock, worth about 400 gold coins. It is difficult to deal with the house, so I can only owe it for the time being. After selling it, I will send the gold coins. This is the Imperial Bank deposit ticket of 2,000 gold coins, and this is 200 gold coins in cash."
The red-haired swordsman put four purses on the table, each full of purses.
Salin's eyelids twitched, but after yesterday's tossing, he did not rush to count the gold coins, but said calmly: "If you raise 300 gold coins in those two houses, it's yours. If it's convenient, I'll send the money in the afternoon and give me half a year of rice, flour, seasonings and dried meat. Is it OK?"
"No problem!" The red-haired swordsman was overjoyed. It was difficult for these two houses to sell 400 gold coins. He was afraid of what Jason said - I would kill one person if I don't have one gold coin. Now Salincoln sells it to him at a discount, and he will only earn dozens of gold coins, so he doesn't have to worry about filling the gap.
Sending the red-haired swordsman away, Salin came to Jason's Magic Lab with four purses and two Imperial Bank tickets.
"Teacher, yours."
