Three hundred and ninetieth chapters powerful war energy

Chapter 392: Powerful War Energy

In view of the severe situation of the Shangganling Battle. Faced with the huge losses of the 45th Army, General Qin Jiwei held a combat meeting of the 15th Army. From then on, the Wusheng Mountains met in a row. Two powerful troops who made countless contributions on the Korean battlefield gathered together. A large-scale counterattack battle was about to be launched on the Shangganling line. Wang Yang, who had endured humiliation and burdened for about half a month, was finally about to be proud.

Because the meeting completely changed the combat process of Shangganling, the two-level chief officers and main commanders of the arms were attended by the meeting. In order to hurt the US military and shock the South Korean army, the meeting decided to first launch a decisive counterattack on the 597.9 Highland on October 30, and to restore the surface position with all their might. After successful and consolidated, they would seize the Beishan Mountains of the 573.7 Highland.

The Volunteer Army Headquarters and the Third Corps Command directly participated in commanding the Shangganling operation.

From the following decisions and orders, it can be clearly seen how the coming decisive counterattack storm was formed.

Decision, one of the orders—

Based on the battlefield situation and macro-planning, the Volunteer Army Headquarters decided to extend the autumn tactical counterattack, which was originally scheduled to end on October 22, until the end of November; and ordered the 38th Army, the 39th Army, the 40th Army, the 65th Army, and the 68th Army, which are adjacent to the 15th Army, to launch fierce attacks on the defense surface more than 180 kilometers wide in central Korea to cooperate in the battle to support Shangganling.

At the same time, the Volunteer Army Headquarters ordered the 15th Army to use the tunnel troops to stick the enemy to Shangganling the time they won, quickly adjust their troops, plan a decisive counterattack, and fundamentally reverse the situation in Shangganling.

The Korean War was based on the Ganling Mountains as the axis and rumbling in full operation.

Decision, order two—

The headquarters of the Volunteer Army learned that the 40th US Division had entered Shibaura, and the 3rd US Division had been transferred to Tetrahara, and had an attempt to continue attacking us. Given that the 15th Army had been fighting for several days, the consumption was too high and the deep garrison troops were empty, it decided to cancel the rest plan of the 12th Army, which was retreating from the Kincheng defense line and was on its way to Tanshan, and transferred the army to the Wusheng Mountain area as a battle reserve and put into battle as the situation.

Decision, order three—

The Logistics Department of the Volunteer Army decided to make every effort to ensure the operation of Shangganling. According to the supply standard of 300 to 500 rounds per gun, the fifteenth Army prepared a firing volume of 110,000 rounds of artillery, and immediately organized carriages and rickshaws to transport them day and night. The only two remaining cars were also used for ammunition transportation in Shangganling to ensure that they were compensated as they were consumed, and the 15th Army would give whatever they needed.

Decision, Order Four—

The Third Corps decided to: 67 large-caliber artillery cannons were mobilized from the deep defense forces of the Corps to reinforce Shangganling.

The Third Corps and the 15th Army decided to draw 1,200 new recruits to reorganize and rebuild the 14 most casualties of the 45th Division.

Decision, Order Five—

The 15th Army decided: The 45th Division handed over all defenses to the 29th Division to carry out the counterattack of Shangganling with all its strength. It also made a new decision: Zhang Xianyang, the commander of the 29th Division, led the 86th Regiment of the Division and the 87th Regiment to participate in the battle of Shangganling.

The 15th Army Order: The 44th Division and the 85th Regiment of the 29th Division stepped up a frontal counterattack to maximize the control of the enemy in the direction of the Western Mountains. In order to reduce the pressure of the 45th Division's decisive counterattack, actively cooperate with the Shangganling battle.

The 15th Army decided to draw three battalions of troops from the 29th Division to transport ammunition and issued a call: "There are no idle people in the battalion and no idle horses in the stables." They mobilized the cadres and service personnel of the army and division levels to bravely work hard and carry out on-line transportation...

On the afternoon of the day when the 29th Division decided to join the war, the 45th Division submitted a "Supplementary Report on Counterattack Operations" to the military headquarters. The report stated: "Try your best to make your counterattack achieve all victory without the assistance of the 29th Division." The report believes that the 45th Division still has counterattack power, "Two companies of the 133rd Regiment and the two newly formed companies can attack 537.7 Beishan twice, and if it goes smoothly, it can be consolidated. Use the 135th Regiment and the 134th Regiment to concentrate their strength to fight back. If it is a small matter, you can do it twice..."

The 45th Division is in a state of understanding: we will take back the lost position ourselves.

But Qin Jiwei's determination this time was to do big things, not to make a small fuss. If you want to do it, do a decisive one. If you counterattack down Shangganling, you will not be lost again. A few hours before this decisive counterattack was officially implemented, Qin Jiwei reiterated to the counterattack troops twice to emphasize the will of this battle: "Don't all positions be restored and the battle will not stop." Therefore, he had a full estimate of the cruelty of the upcoming battle. He had a premonition that not only would the 29th Division go on, but it would also be possible to use a regiment of the 12th Army.

Zeng Shaoshan, the commander of the 12th Army, attached great importance to the troops under his army going to Shangganling to participate in the war, and decided to pull the 91st Regiment of the army's ace. He personally called Liu Xuan, the political commissar of the 31st Division of the army, and said: "The 91st Regiment is the first unit that our army participated in the battle on the 45th Division's position. In order to grasp the situation and strengthen the command of the regiment, you will personally take the 91st Regiment." (This 91st Regiment is the unit that ran thousands of miles from the enemy's belly in the defeated battle of the fifth phase of the second phase of the counterattack.)

The acting commander of the Third Corps Wang Jinshan even believed that this counterattack would be a decisive battle between the 15th Army and the enemy, and it was seen that the 45th Division "has no longer able to continue this battle."

Just as the 45th Division reported the Supplementary Report on Counterattack Operations, Acting Commander Wang Jinshan called Zeng Shaoshan again: "It is decided to transfer the 92nd Regiment of the 31st Division of your army to the defense direction of the 15th Army to cooperate with the army's operations."

The bloody counterattack in Shangganling, which is engraved with history in the future, proves the excellence that these senior commanders foresee.

However, when Zeng Shaoshan and Wang Jinshan finished the phone call and intercepted the 92nd Regiment on the way to the march, the regiment commander had already set off with the vanguard for several hours. When the mission suddenly changed, the intercepted team but could not find the regiment commander, which made Zeng Shaoshan very angry. He immediately reported to criticize the regiment and ordered all units under the army to report the troops and the marching conditions to the army every day (the regiment should report to the army when reporting to the division); before departure every day, the radio stations of each regiment shall not withdraw without permission without the division's permission. 2. During the marching, the length should be appropriately shortened so that the troops can be easily gathered and mobilized in time. 3. All units must prepare to return to fight at any time..."

When the 91st Regiment turned its butt, the defender turned into a forefront, and quickly returned to Shangganling, the counterattack forces on the front line of Shangganling were finally gathered. The Third Corps went all out, and tens of thousands of troops were ready to fight. Just wait for the charge to launch a thunderous offensive towards the enemy along Shangganling.

At the same time, Commander Cui Jiangong also received strong support from the Corps and Zhisi. More than 3,000 new recruits were enriched to the 45th Division. Facing the counterattack, Cui Jiangong's first consciousness was to help the soldiers who were persevering in the tunnel to replenish their manpower as soon as possible and create conditions for a large-scale counterattack.

That night, continuous artillery fire attacked the enemy artillery group opposite Shangganling, and dozens of anti-aircraft artillery began to strictly control the roads along the rear of Shangganling. After careful preparation, the Battle of Shangganling had gathered a large amount of artillery fire to show its hideousness for the first time. An enemy plane that suppressed our rear of Shangganling, as well as the enemy artillery group, was suddenly hit by a catastrophe.

Tons of steel projectiles covered the sky, and a mysterious artillery powerful soldier joined the battle. This means that the battle in Shangganling completely elevated from fighting to battle. The "Katyusha" rocket launcher regiment seized the opportunity to join the chorus of this artillery battle, which caused the enemy artillery group that had been arrogant around the Shangganling defensive position of our army for many days to immediately suffered an extremely terrifying blow.

You should know that the "Katyusha" artillery has always been the ace among the artillery of the volunteer army. All were made by the Soviet Union and were quite expensive. In order to protect these precious combat resources well, this rocket launcher was the most powerful heavy artillery purchased from the Soviet Union from the Volunteer Army to North Korea, and was always directly controlled by the Volunteer Army Headquarters. It was a nobleman in the world's artillery clan in the 1940s and 1950s. It was particularly favored by the Volunteer Army. More than tens of thousands of volunteer soldiers regarded it as a treasure.

On the crowded mountain roads in northern North Korea, the rocket launcher always had green flags all the way, and all vehicles and pedestrians gave way. The "United Nations Army" has always believed that the artillery fire is strong, but they were also frightened when facing "Katyusha".

‘Katyusha’ was developed and produced by the Soviet Voronezh factory and started to fight against Germany in July 1941. At that time, due to the high confidentiality, the gun was not named after the factory, but the factory’s logo “k” was on its gun stand. So the Soviet artillery romantically and poetically gave it a name commonly used by Soviet girls, which is also the name of a popular Soviet song: Katyusha.

"Katyusha" has a strong firepower and a fast fire speed. Its sound is very strange when it is fired. "Chirky" can tell it in one ear among all types of artillery. Therefore, they have another wonderful name, called "Stalin Organ".

Since its release from the factory, "Katyusha" has never disappointed the world's expectations of him on the battlefield. It shoots accurately and has great power. Its streamlined shape is as fascinating as a beautiful girl. What's more valuable is that it has multi-rail joints, cannon trucks in one, and has good maneuverability.

But its only weakness is that when it is launched, the gun tail sprays huge flames, reflecting half of the sky, and it is very easy to expose its position. During the time when it first possessed the "Katyusha" artillery, it was because the soldiers did not know enough about the characteristics of the artillery. Other troops had the lesson of the "Katyusha" battalion being blown up by enemy planes.

Therefore, when "Katyusha" is assigned to the Five Sacred Mountains, the 15th Army protects it like treasures, usually hides them in caves, and even people from this unit are not allowed to approach them at will. Once the rocket launcher regiment is determined to participate in the battle, the 15th Army's artillery command post always quietly chooses a position, calculates the shooting elements, and sends warning troops along the way. When everything is ready, the rocket launcher will set off.

Every time he appears mysteriously when the Volunteer Army faces a major battle, he hides into the jungle in elusive ways. Even if the enemy has planes to reconnaise, it is difficult to find the traces of "Katyusha".

However, once the "Katyusha" appeared in the Battle of Shangganling, it marked the beginning of a large-scale counterattack by the Chinese volunteers, and also marked that in the battle on the front line of Shangganling, the enemy artillery could no longer be unscrupulous in the fierce battle.

Therefore, the soldiers who had benefited from the tunnel that had been in the first place for nearly half a month, under the suppression of our powerful artillery fire, the enemy's blockade of artillery fire at the rear of Shangganling was relaxed. With this precious time period, the 45th Division is stepping up the reconstruction and remediation of 14 of the most severely damaged companies.

Taking advantage of the artillery fire protection, Wang Yang brought five soldiers from the 7th Company and Li Baocheng from the 8th Company to the rear of our army in the Wusheng Mountains.

The remaining personnel of the 7th Company had been in the tunnel of the 597-7 Highland for more than ten days and nights. After receiving the order from the regiment command post to withdraw from the highland to re-fight again, they retreated to the highland overnight. Halfway up the road, Wang Yang looked at the troops he was carrying, with his hair unkempt, his hands as black as charcoal, and his clothes were as ragged as beggars.

After feeling sad, Wang Yang stopped beside a small puddle and said, "We can't do it like we were defeated. Wash it all. You are the seeds of the New Seventh Company. You must be more energetic and meet the new comrades."

Hearing such words, the soldiers were both happy and sad. You should know that from the counterattack that night, more than 200 soldiers of the 7th Company, one company commander, two instructors, eight chief and deputy platoon leaders, and more than a dozen temporarily designated platoon leaders have all died in Beishan. Now, due to the need for combat, the 7th Company finally regained its youth. Why don’t they feel ups and downs?

The soldiers returned to Wusheng Mountain and walked outside the tunnel. Wang Yang and the others were happily breathing the fresh air, looking at the grass and wood at the large army station greedily, feeling that everything was so beautiful and touching. Of course, what surprised them even more was that the current Wusheng Mountain position was completely different from the one they set out.

I remember that when Wang Yang was counterattacking to the position with the last ten company commanders of the 45th Division, in addition to the positions along the line that must be maintained in the forty-five, there were no few people in the valley. As long as he could hold a gun, the comrades who could fight went to the front line. At that time, the valley was very quiet. Wang Yang and his team rushed all the way from the base to the 597.9 highland and the 573.7 highland.

But, what about now?

A large-scale counterattack began. The forces of several legions gathered on the positions along the Wusheng Mountains, on the transportation line that was more than 100 kilometers deep, with people shouting flutes and bustling.

Once you pass Deshan Inkstone, the road is filled with countless cars, carriages, and animals carried by people, all ammunition and medicine are unloaded at the transfer station and then the injured are transported away.

A stretcher team composed of an old man from North Korea and a young wife shouted; the driver honked his horns hard; the whip with his hands was slamming with cannons; the traffic adjustment whistle at the intersection was blowing; the road was long, the traffic flow was longer, which was more lively than the market, and the grand scene of the founding of the People's Republic of China and Tiananmen Square.

Even Wang Yang and the others saw that in order to ensure the safety of the transportation line day and night, and to prevent the enemy's planes from sabotaging the air, he saw the volunteers gathered several rare anti-aircraft artillery regiments around the base for air defense cover transportation. Along the way, Wang Yang also heard soldiers saying that in the past two days, more than ten foreign devils were knocked down above me, and the enemy would no longer dare to send planes to our back defense to the "dung".

It was a rare and spectacular scene. The soldiers of the 7th and 8th companies were excited to see it. Thinking about the 45th station of Wusheng Mountain, there were nearly 200 cars, hundreds of carriages running day and night, and overloading. Once the wheels of the war were fully launched, the Chinese Volunteer Army and the Korean People's Army cooperated closely and could exude a daunting war ability.

On the road of traffic, the driver put on a bag of steamed buns, and when he entered the cab, he couldn't get out for several days and nights, and ran so that the axles were filled with smoke.

The packers carried a box of ammunition on their shoulders, and even freed up their hands to help the animals. They pushed the mules and horses and whispered over the mountains and rivers.

People are supported by their will, but mules and horses without ideology cannot withstand such heavy loads, day and night, and poor animals are so tired that their ears droop, their elbows are stiff, and they do not think about the materials. They fall to death as they walk.

There was a mule and horse that had more than 80 animals, and more than 50 animals fell in one month.

The transportation line extends to the regiment advance station, 12.5 kilometers away from Shangganling, and then enters the enemy's fixed 10 artillery blockade lines. In addition, the mountain road is curled, the cliff is steep, and the chariots and horses cannot move. Thousands of tons of materials and ammunition are carried entirely by manpower.

The 15th Army successively invested more than 8,500 people and carried them back and forth on this war transport line.

The officers and soldiers carried 4 boxes, weighing 70 or 80 kilograms. Some even carried 5 boxes and 6 boxes, exceeding the weight of a donkey. Along the way, many people were crushed to lumbar muscle strain, deformed vertebrae, and vomiting blood in big mouths.

Walking towards the command post of the 45th Division, Wang Yang and the others watched all this happily. Everyone knew that the turning point of the battle was finally coming, and the tunnel that the soldiers were struggling to hold on to was finally rewarded. With such a powerful strategic force, how could the enemy who occupied my superficial position be able to stop it?

Wang Yang even saw a figure that was extremely familiar to him in the distance. That figure moved him and made him dream. After several battles between life and death, when he saw her, Wang Yang felt like he met again in another world.

In his excited eyes, that scene will never be forgotten:

Two female art troupe members flashed out of the transportation team, stood on a small earth slope on the side of the road, tied the tail wings of several mortar shells in their hands with ropes, hung them around their necks, freeing up their hands to hit bamboo boards to encourage them:

"Comrades, go quickly, there is a mountain pass ahead; when you arrive at the mountain pass, unload the shells, the artillery will slam the enemy's heads..."

The loud snaps and the beautiful and heroic face inspired countless young soldiers under the sky of war. Tie Liu strode forward in waves, and victory was right in front of him.
