Chapter 6 Fox Fairy Cave

In the south of my hometown village is a stream passing through the fields, and in the north of the village is Hanshan Mountain, and there is Hanshan Temple on the mountain. Walking northeast of the mountain, there is a large ditch that runs through the entire mountain.

Walking about two miles into the mouth of the ditch, there is a flat land, facing north and south according to the direction of the ditch, there is a semicircular cave entrance on the mountain wall in the north. If you look closely at the two sides of the cave entrance, you will find that it is like the gate of a temple, with very symmetrical "four beams and eight pillars". The cave entrance has a shape similar to the edge of the house, which is very strange.

Whenever the valley is flooded in summer, rainwater on the mountain will flood the ditches. The water is very strong, and even the villages at the foot of the mountain are sometimes not spared. However, after the rain, the entrance of the cave is still the same, and even the soil at the entrance of the cave and the walls are dry, just like the water never passes through the entrance of the cave.

In our place, the older generation calls it the "Fox Fairy Cave", saying that there is a fox with white hair living inside.

But this is just a legend. No one has ever seen a white-haired fox, but people still have a sense of awe and would rather believe it than believe it. No one has ever dared to go to the door of the "Fox Fairy Cave" to commit rampant things, and even repeatedly reminded the children in the village not to go to the ditch.

However, there was a man who was invincible for the world and not only went to the ditch, but also entered the "Fox Fairy Cave".

That person was me, he was sixteen years old that year, and he was a ignorant age.

That spring, when my brother was driving a carriage to transport farm fertilizer to the field in the team, the horse was frightened and fell to the big slope and fell to death. My brother also broke his waist. Later, my father asked the captain to plead with him, but he still deducted a year's work points.

My brother couldn't go to work, and he had to stay in bed at home for half a year, so I needed to help with many things at home. I was not in good health since I was a child, but after school, I still helped my family do things within my ability.

It was a midsummer evening. I was pulling pig grass at the entrance of the ditch in the north of the village. Not far behind me, my big black dog, "Black Sword", was climbing on a small slope, sleeping lazily. This year, the pig grass was very plump, and I soon filled a basket. Just as I was about to get up and go home, a thunder sounded from the sky. I saw a lightning bolt across the sky, as if I was about to tear the sky apart. The sunset was full of sunset, and it instantly turned cloudy. The loud wind was covered with bean-sized raindrops. For a moment, the sky turned white and heavy rain poured down.

"Heizi, Heizi," I turned my head and ran back, calling Heizi, "Wang, Wang". I ran out for about a dozen steps, but I didn't see Heizi following me. I only heard Heizi's cry coming from behind. I tightened the vegetable basket on my left hand, wiped the rain on my face with my right hand, and called behind me. "Heizi" ran away quickly. The rain was too heavy, and the mountains and rivers should come in a while.

The big black dog did not follow, "What's wrong with this guy today?" I muttered and turned my head behind me. The rain was too heavy and I couldn't see clearly. I vaguely saw a black shadow running towards the valley to the north through the rain curtain.

"Come back, come back, Heizi, you are rebelling, you are rebelling." No matter what I call, Heizi did not return in the end.

"What's wrong with this dog today?" I was so wet on my body that I stood up panting. Oh, and threw the vegetable basket into the ground in annoyance, "Don't care about it." But then I thought, if there was such a heavy rain, it would be a lot of danger. No one would care about it.

Thinking of this, I took off my warm clothes, threw them on my body, and ran into the ditch in the heavy rain.

"Heizi, Heizi, come back quickly and don't go to the ditch, there will be heavy water soon."

I ran and shouted, my voice hoarse and I couldn't hear the cry of Heizi.

The rain was getting heavier, but there was still no sign of Heizi. There was no way, so I could only continue walking forward. The mud in the ditch was so muddy that I stumbled. I didn't know how far I walked, but suddenly my feet became soft and my body rushed forward. A dog ate shit and I fell to the ground. My face, mouth, and body were covered with mud and water, and I suddenly became a clay man.

"Damn it, it's all because of you. I'll find me and beat you up."

"Wool, wool." At this time, Heizi's cry came from the front. I quickly wiped the mud on my face and looked forward. Through the rain, I vaguely saw that Heizi was bent and roaring wildly into a grass twenty or thirty meters in front of me.

"Heizi, come back quickly, what are you doing?" I stumbled towards the front while calling Heizi's name.
