Chapter One

The train was driving south on the field. Fang Wei, who was sitting on the train, looked out the window - the sun that was first revealed in the sky was colorful and dyed the earth golden; the rolling mountains were shrouded in the clouds and mist, appearing and disappearing, like a fairyland; the curling smoke floated over the village, like white clouds, wandering slowly; flocks of birds flew around the village, hovering in the sky, chirping, like shouting for early people to work in the fields; the fields were green, and under the sun, wheat seedlings rose and fell with the wind, like the waves of the sea, endless.

In the carriage, the passengers' tone of speaking from all over the world felt extremely fresh. The train waiters who were pushing the carriage were hawking, the passengers' conversations, and the children's noise were chaotic and noisy, which was a bit like a rural market. Some people who had just woken up and were still sleepy, took their scrub utensils and dragged their tired bodies to the train bathroom. The turbid air in the carriage made people feel a little breathless.

Fang Wei stood up, walked to the connection of the carriage, lit a cigarette and started smoking, and was leisurely and sucking mist. Suddenly, the train conductor shouted, "I have checked the tickets, checked the tickets, please take out the tickets."

Fang Wei took out the ticket and handed it to the conductor who walked in front of him. She glanced at him and returned the ticket to him.

In that era, management was relatively lax, not as strict as it is now. It is easy to get on the train without a ticket.

Before the train reaches the end, the tickets must be checked several times. When encountering people who did not buy tickets, in order to prevent them from being found out, some people hide in the toilet, while others lie under the seats, or use other methods to get over.

Some unlucky guys were caught and went to make up for the tickets. When making up for the tickets, no matter which station you get on the bus, even if you only get into one stop, the ticket price will start from the starting station.

There are always some people in society who are lucky and want to benefit from everything they do. They regard others' tolerance, be kind and fools, and do not want to pay for money when taking the train.

Most of the people who got on the train were short-distance passengers who took two or three stops, and some of them really didn’t have the money to buy tickets.

If you don’t have a ticket, you will easily be found out. You will be taken to the dining car to make up for the ticket and scolded. The result is that after two or three stops and buying a long-distance ticket, it is both embarrassing and eye-catching, and it is not worth the loss.

"Go quickly, go quickly." Several train conductors were sandwiching from front to back, and a young man in his twenties walked past Fang Wei.

Fang Wei looked in the voice and looked at the young man. He blushed and embarrassed to lower his head, and was pushed forward by someone.

Fang Wei looked up and down at this young man who was about a few years older than him - his worn-out but clean face, with a white and clean face that was not very deep and tender. His big eyes were bright and dull, and ashamed of shame.

When the two of them met, Fang Wei felt sad in his helpless and at a loss.

Fang Wei looked at the young man and was pushed forward by the conductor, and felt indescribable. Judging from the young man's clothes, he came out of the countryside to work.

Fang Wei knew that most rural people, whose families are poor, have problems in survival and have no money to buy train tickets.

Fang Wei thought of himself as a farmer, and knew the hardships of rural life. He also knew that rural people were timid and afraid of things. It was not a last resort and would not fail to buy tickets.
