175. Mix the fake with the real

Kelly sat on the ground.

She has been like this for a while.

Although as long as she goes up one more level, she can get a glimpse of the truth that she has always been thinking about, but now she hesitates. Does she really have enough willpower to bear this truth?

The behind-the-scenes scenes that Kelly saw all had some weird connection with reality. Although the different behind-the-scenes scenes that she saw were connected to reality in different ways, they could never exist without reason.

The old woman's behind-the-scenes gesture reflected something that made her feel sick and frightened. Kelly did not dare to think deeply about the true meaning of its omen.

Kelly stood up again and did not go back to the stairs immediately, but simply explored this floor.

The first thing you see is a spacious space that makes people feel uncomfortable. The hall occupies too much area, and relatively speaking, there are few places for people to live. Where did those densely packed servants come from?

Are they just standing next to each other like wax statues, shoulder to shoulder in this hall?

Kelly turned around and used the faint light from the wall lamp to see clearly several doors on the wall. They were all made of metal and had some subtle carved textures on them, which looked simple and elegant.

After seeing these carvings, Kelly suddenly discovered that there were a few similar patterns on the wall. She walked into the stone wall and observed carefully, gently touching the lines and feeling the touch it brought to her.

These carvings must have been the product of twenty to thirty years, and definitely cannot be more than thirty years old. In other words, they were probably carved after Prince Gawain bought the castle.

Could it be that Veronica has a unique artistic aesthetic, or the Gawain family has always had some weird architectural pursuits.

The firelight was too dim, and the lines on the wall couldn't be clearly seen from a distance. Kelly moved her body carefully, slowly connecting the various patterns in her mind.

The carved patterns have a certain religious flavor, and there are some indescribable connections with certain ancient worship murals that the archeology teacher often introduced to them.

The huge whale, the eternal cage, and the dark abyss world beneath the ground are all simply drawn with a few strokes, but they clearly express the creator's intention.

Countless people surrounded an unusual and great figure. It was a creature that was somewhat similar to a human female, but it had many special features. For example, she was locked in a cage, and half of her body was completely covered.

Painted black.

Around her, there seemed to be countless humans kneeling down to her. These humans were carved in abbreviated form, with only one line on the wall representing the body and a dot representing the head.

She continued to observe, but found that most of the patterns were hidden in places where light could not penetrate. You had to be very close to see them clearly. If you wanted to see all the carvings, it would definitely take a lot of time.

, she doubted whether she still had time.

Of course, there are actually electric lights here. If she turns on the lights now, it will only take a short time to complete the overall structure of the wall carvings. Plus there are no windows, there is a high chance that no one will notice anything strange.

But Kelly thought for a while and gave up the idea. There was no need to take the risk, and she had a simpler shortcut.

Kelly blinked.

A tall statue of God stands in the center of the church.

The goddess is great and beautiful, but she has a face that does not match hers.

The goddess's appearance is almost exactly the same as Veronica's. If there is any difference, it is that she seems to be more beautiful than Veronica. If Veronica's face is already perfect, then this face is beyond human

cognitive structure.

But Kelly didn't like this face at all, and she could see that it didn't belong on this great body at all.

It can even be said that it is not worthy. Although the body below the head does not have that hazy and unreal beauty, it is great and transcends the mortal world.

Kelly can feel it intuitively.

As for why, of course it's because the neck of this huge statue has huge cracks and obvious traces of artificial splicing.

The spacious hall does not seem so spacious now, because this is a church, and its area now seems insufficient.

Kelly raised her head and looked around the church. She could see clear and huge murals praising gods on the walls, but she could not correctly understand what they wanted to express.

Because there is only half of the mural on the wall, or only half of each.

The mural consists of two parts, one is older and the other is newer. The new mural covers the approximate location of the old mural. The old mural becomes the background of the new mural, and the great achievements the old mural tells cannot be well understood by viewers.

Both murals have a protagonist who is dressed the same, but their temperament, appearance and behavior are completely different. The goddess in the new mural is perfect and beautiful, and everything she does is to save and extend life.

The face of the goddess in the old mural is blurry, and the same dress exudes a lot of temperament that humans can't understand, but Kelly can get a glimpse of some greatness from it.

This goddess is not as dazzling as the previous one, but her hands and feet are shackled, but she does not show any sign of abjection.

The other end of the shackles is connected to a palace in the distance, and there are countless guards in the palace who are guarding the goddess. It seems that as long as she gets slightly angry, she can break free and summon a terrifying natural disaster that can destroy all things.

This mural did not promote the kindness and mercy of the goddess, but Kelly didn't know what was hidden in the covered part of the mural.

Too much time had been wasted. She exited the behind-the-scenes vision, turned around and walked towards the steps, moving up with awe and nervousness.

The fifth floor is different from the other floors. The overall structure is more like a place where humans live, rather than a cold shrine.

A warm light leaked out from a room.

Kelly approached the door and leaned against it, listening for the leaking sounds.

There was only the repetitive sound of turning pages, and nothing else.

She couldn't even hear the sound of human breathing, it was probably muffled by the sound of turning books.

Kelly quietly turned the doorknob.

There was no reaction inside.

Naturally, she would not listen to the old woman's claim that she was here to clean, because it was impossible for Veronica not to recognize her.

Gently push the door open a crack.

Kelly quietly looked inside the room.

Veronica was facing away from Kelly, sitting ladylikely at the desk, flipping through the books, seemingly enjoying the book, completely unaware that she was being watched by an "evil worry witch".
