22. White Dragon and White Lion

Hewen showed a troubled look:

"Actually, I did encounter a little trouble, although the people of the Knights have always had a bad relationship with our church."

The bishop nodded.

"But now that I've arrived in Forth City, I don't want to conflict with the Knights. I also want to do some business with them."

Hevin said it as if he really hated the Knights.

But Alec knew that these businessmen probably only had money in their eyes, but he didn't care about that much. If they gave him money, he would become the most devout believer in the Primordial Fire.

"Did they do something to you?" the bishop asked with concern.

Hewen said with worry on his face:

"Well, not long after I came here, Sir George's chief apprentice Abel spoke rudely to me. We had a dispute and had a conflict. Now he must be thinking about how to deal with me."

Hevin didn't mention Holla.

Alec slapped the armrest hard:

"This is unreasonable! Abel actually did such a thing to innocent citizens. Just wait, I will contact George immediately and ask him to bring Abel to apologize to you in person."

Hewen coughed twice:

"Actually, I already asked him to apologize to me."

Alec's eyelids twitched and he asked the apprentice, the head of the knights, to apologize. This businessman was also a ruthless character:

"Then you want to..."

Hevin explained:

"I hope the church can bypass people like George's apprentices and directly introduce me to the Pure White Knight. I have a big business to discuss with him."

"Talk privately." Hewen added.

The bishop wondered:

"After all these things happened, you still want to do business with him, why not do it with the church? Our power in Forth is not much weaker than the Knights."

Hewen blinked and explained righteously:

"When I do business with the Knights, I make money from them. As for me and the church, I just need to donate money."

Alec didn't believe his lies at all, but he still nodded:

"Okay, Mr. Wright, I will arrange this matter for you now. If there is any news, I will inform you as soon as possible."

The two smiled and reached a consensus.

The next day, the fifth floor of the Pure White Tower.

The second apprentice, Mayo, put down the newspaper, took a sip of tea, and asked:

"What's new?"

Sean, who came from the same family as him, stood in front of him like a servant

Sean replied:

"It seems that there is a guy named Wright who, relying on the small amount of money he has, is rude to Mr. George. According to my informant, Abel seems to want to punish this guy. Do we need to take action first?"

"How many small coins do you have? Are you sure it's called Wright?"

"Well, that's right."

"Is he a young man with short hair?"

"Yes, you already know?"

Mayo said nothing and spread out the newspaper on the table, with a row of large characters written on it.

"Mr. Wright, a generous wealthy businessman, donated 500 million to help expand the church. The bishop said this was a great act of kindness. Mr. Wright is the most devout believer."

There is also a photo below of Hevin and Alec shaking hands, and both parties look very satisfied.

Mayo smiled and said:

"Stop looking for that informant."

Sean's back was completely soaked.

Eight floors of the pure white tower.

Abel kept walking around in his room, his whole face darkened.

Maggie didn't dare to say a word.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it!" Abel gritted his teeth and said, "How could this Wright move so fast? Then in the eyes of others, wouldn't I be a fool now?"

Maggie asked:

"Then shall we go and apologize?"

Abel said angrily:

"Please fuck me!"

"So what do we do now?"

Abel took a deep breath and ordered:

"You go to my father and ask him to send some people to investigate Wright's background. Which country is he from, what industry does he run, how much money does he have, and most importantly, what weaknesses and secrets does he have?

use.

"If you cannot become friends, then you must be prepared to wage war against your enemies."

At this time, Hewen was also in the Pure White Tower, on the top floor of the Pure White Tower.

George Knight was sitting opposite him.

Hewen took a sip of red wine:

"Well, this is probably produced at Wharton's Edel Manor, but now with the expansion of machinery and coal and electricity, I remember that the vineyards are getting smaller every year."

George sighed:

"Yes, you must know that in the past, Edel's red wine was supplied to the nobles in half of Wharton, but now it has become a scarce commodity. But Mr. Wright, you are not here to taste wine, are you?"

Hevin replied:

"Maybe I just want to meet the respected White Knight, have a drink and chat."

"This does not sound like the most devout believer in the Primeval Fire, Mr. Wright."

Hewen stood up and looked out the window:

"It seems like you can see the church of the original fire from here."

George smiled and said:

"Because this is the highest place in Forth City."

Hewen said:

"But soon it won't be anymore. The tallest place will become an annex tower of the church."

George responded:

"Thanks to Mr. Wright's generous support."

Hewen shook his head:

"I just mentioned it, but Mr. Bishop didn't hesitate at all. He seemed to have been preparing for this moment for a long time."

This is a lie, but no one will expose it.

George walked to Hewen's side and said:

"It is true that some people can't bear to see the pure white tower towering here for so long, but it seems that Mr. Wright is not as pious as the rumors say?"

Hewen waved his hand:

"The Primeval Fire is acting too arrogantly, and no one in their right mind will like it, especially their attitude towards Inlans is even worse.

"After all, for the original fire that has become the main church in several countries, England is undoubtedly a huge cake, a cake without an owner."

George reminded dissatisfiedly:

"Inlans has her master."

Hewen nodded:

"The Dragon King is indeed admirable. If he were still conscious, any living saint would run away with his tail between his legs when he saw him."

"Humph, it's good to know."

"But he's fallen asleep, isn't he?"

There was a hint of anger in George's eyes:

"Watch your words and actions."

Hewen turned his head and looked at George with a smile:

"Otherwise? Bailong."

George's anger subsided instantly, and he asked with a cold face:

"Who are you? Mr. Wright."

Wright shook his finger:

"You should ask who we are?"

"you?"

Hewen's tone was very sincere:

"Honesty and trust are the basis of cooperation, Mr. Bailong. We are sacred beasts that hide in the dark but still maintain their pure whiteness."

"White Lion Club?"

Hewen nodded.

This is a lie, but no one will expose it.

"Since the church needs face, we will let the church spend every penny on maintaining face, and we can negotiate a really big business, a business that can make the Knights really strong."

George scoffed:

"Oh, you're so kind? What do you want?"

"The blood of the white dragon."

George laughed angrily:

"impossible."

"Perhaps you are willing to listen to our plan. Although everyone says that you were sent here because you were suspected by the king in the past, we all know that your real accusation is to block the threat from the Primeval Fire for this country.
