24. Blood of the White Dragon

Hevin suggested:

"Perhaps you can take me to meet your mother one day when you are free."

Enid was startled, then covered her mouth and laughed uncontrollably.

"What's wrong?" Hewen was confused.

The girl wiped the tears from her eyes and said:

"Didn't I want to meet Mr. Wright's niece at first? But now it's the other way around, haha."

In fact, the girl knew that her original purpose of wanting to meet Hewen's niece was not so simple.

A big businessman takes his niece around and doesn't let her go out. It's easy for people to think of some bad things.

But now Enid feels intense guilt for her previous thoughts.

A burst of heavy footsteps came from behind the two people.

"Enid? Why are you with him?"

Apart from George, there are only four of his disciples who can come and go here at will.

Abel stood behind the two of them.

Enid's face suddenly turned cold:

"What's the problem here between me and Mr. Wright?"

Abel asked with a sneer:

"You are quite confident when you bring an outsider to the underground of the White Tower, the daughter of the chief judge."

Enid responded word for word:

"I have my own name, Andrew's son."

Although she doesn’t usually have much contact with Enid, Abel feels that she already knows how to anger her:

"Why, the Chief Justice also wants to interfere in the internal affairs of our Knights. Have you not changed the laws enough? Do you still want to change the rules of the Knights?"

Enid held the long sword at her waist and said angrily:

"Abel, I want to fight you..."

"Wait." Hevin put his hand on Enid's shoulder.

Enid suddenly calmed down for some reason.

"I am the new honorary advisor of the Knights."

Abel felt a little funny and replied:

"The Knights simply don't have this position."

Hewen was a little surprised. This Abel didn't look like a fool, so why did he keep causing trouble for him:

"Not before, but after talking with George, I felt it was necessary to join such a position. At the same time, my position is only under the head of the Knights. In other words, you just questioned your superiors."

"To question your superior for no reason is disloyal. Abel, you have violated the virtues of chivalry."

Abel opened his mouth. He didn't know how he violated the virtues of chivalry:

"Impossible, how could the teacher..."

Hewen waved his hand impatiently:

"Ask George yourself. I'm very surprised. Although we have some festivals, I don't care about it anymore after you apologized. Why are you still asking for trouble?"

Abel didn't believe that someone would not retaliate after being insulted like that, at least not him, but now he could only blush and be speechless.

Fortunately, he thought he was still a smart man who could distinguish the situation. He instantly knelt down on one knee and shouted:

"Because I saw a stranger appear here, I was a little anxious. I asked questions without asking questions clearly and contradicted the consultant. I am very sorry."

He cleverly tampered with his actions and purposes.

Enid twitched her lips. He wasn't questioning just now, it was considered a taunt. But she didn't expect this guy to admit his mistake so decisively.

Abel lowered his head with hatred flashing in his eyes. It seemed that he was slowly planning to deal with Wright.

Hewen said with a cold face:

"Let's go, we have something else to do."

Abel stood up immediately and asked with a smile:

"Advisor, what's the matter with you?"

Hewen's tone was a little more impatient:

"Am I your boss, or are you my boss?"

Abel turned around, and at the same time, there was a trace of anger in his eyes that he thought only he knew.

After the annoying guy left, Hevin said to Enid:

"let's go."

The girl blinked:

"Mr. Wright, have you really become a knight advisor?"

Hewen replied:

"Yes, it's genuine."

The girl shook her white ponytail:

"Then shouldn't I call you Sir Advisor?"

Hewen showed a gentle smile and said his pseudonym sincerely:

"Just keep calling me Wright."

The two quickly reached their destination.

A man in casual clothes was waiting for them here.

When the man saw them he said:

"Lord George has already given orders to me, Lord Enid, and Lord Wright. I am Odom."

Enid took off half of her armor, revealing her unusually fair and tender right arm:

"That'll be fine?"

Odom nodded:

"Well, I'm also ready and can start at any time."

Enid looked at Hevin again:

"Mr. Wright, how much do you need?"

"Just 500 ml. This amount won't have much impact on you, right?"

Enid answered deftly:

"You will be a little weak for two or three days, but you will recover quickly."

Seeing that Enid had already done it, Odom pulled out a slender transparent rubber tube from a machine that was as tall as a person. The front end of the thin tube was a sharp needle.

Odom skillfully inserted the needle into the girl's arm, turned around and pulled the wrench of the machine, counted the numbers on the dashboard, and pulled it back immediately.

Bright red blood gushes out from the fair skin and fills up a small glass tube in an instant.

Odom pulled the needle out of the pale girl's body.

"The next step is the important part. Since the establishment of the Knights, they have been inseparable from the use of blood. However, due to negligence, the Knights once allowed the enemy to obtain important blood, and a powerful curse took away the lives of hundreds of knights.

.

"After this point, all the blood drawn must be erased with magic to erase traces of the original owner. Over time, many knights' inheritances can ignore the curse without even needing this step."

Enid went on to explain:

"But I'm different from ordinary knights. I don't come from a knightly family, but a nobleman, so I don't have the ability to isolate the curse. I hope Mr. Wright doesn't mind."

"Safety is the most important thing." Hewen shook his head, then made a self-deprecating look, "Besides, I'm not a good person."

The girl chuckled lightly.

As the magic lines near the glass tube continued to flash, steam spurted out from one side of the machine, and the glass tube was gently popped out.

Odom took out Enid's blood and handed it to Hevin.

Hewen held the glass tube and put it in his arms.

"Then you have a good rest, I'll go back first." Hevin said to Enid.

The girl smiled and replied:

"Yeah, but don't turn me away, Mr. Wright, when I go to visit."

"rest assured."

Enid smiled as she watched Hevin leave.

The blood of the white dragon makes the girl a little sentimental, even a little too sensitive.

Beyond the realm of perception, it is more like a talent unique to dragons.

Probably to the extent that others can already hear the sound before they speak.

No matter how polite Abel spoke, Enid could tell the arrogance and smugness in his heart. Looking at her father's eyes, she could see his indifference and anger. No matter what her mother said, she could not feel the slightest bit of love.

So she gradually became numb, whether it was anger, ridicule, or indifference, she could completely ignore it.

So she should be able to turn a blind eye no matter how much grief she felt.

But she has never felt this way before, so empathetic...
