425. Chaos
When Nellie and Holla got home.
I found someone standing at the door.
Silver-white short hair can make most people look ugly.
But this man is an exception.
Enid inherited her mother's heroic spirit, and her many years of knighthood made her temperament independent of her mother's strong woman.
She is like a silver sword.
This was Nelly's opinion when she first met her.
but now……
Nelly's steps instinctively slowed down.
She saw a lazy but dangerous white dragon lying across the door, swinging its long tail that could easily pierce armor.
This was her impression of Enid at this time.
Enid saw Nellie and Holla from a distance.
Nellie walked slowly to Enid's side.
Hora shouted:
"Sister Enid."
Then she threw herself directly into Enid's arms.
Enid was stunned for a moment, then an uncontrollable smile appeared on her originally calm face:
"Little Alice, you grow up so fast."
Hala said:
"My name is Hala now. By the way, sister Enid, why are you here?"
Enid said:
"Is there no one inside?"
Nelly answered proactively:
"There is someone, but she won't come out."
Enid was surprised and said:
"she?"
Nelly said:
"Haven's friend, Veronica."
Enid nodded slightly to Nelly:
"What about Hevin?"
Nelly said:
"He has gone out and won't be back for a while. Miss Enid, please remember me..."
Enid interrupted directly:
"I remember you, Nellie Lester. Grandfather was Lord Taylor, mother was Rebecca Lester, brother was Jimmy Taylor, heir to Lord Taylor, and we last met on the road."
After speaking, she looked at Ha La again and asked:
"Can I come in?"
Nelly opened her mouth slightly in confusion.
She remembered that the last time they met, Enid was very gentle and enthusiastic. Why is her attitude now...
So rude?
Raven pointed at Enid and said:
"Who does this guy think she is? How dare you disrespect you so much that if it were me who was facing her now, I would pull out an ax and chop her off?"
Nelly instinctively replied to Raven:
"Wait."
Raven nodded, then suddenly froze and turned to look at Nelly:
"Wait, do you mean to agree?"
Nellie said to Enid:
"I heard Hewen say..."
Enid's ears twitched, then she turned her gaze to Nelly.
Nelly continued:
"He said you were a very important friend of his."
Enid blinked, not knowing what she was thinking.
She didn't take the topic:
"Let's go in first, and we'll talk after we sit down."
Ha La nodded, took out the key and opened the door:
"Sister Nellie, sister Enid, let's go in."
The three of them passed through the vestibule in silence.
Nelly sensed something hidden in the silence.
It contains powerful power and is extremely unstable.
They entered the porch.
Enid looked up.
A painting caught her eye.
The first thing she saw was a toy-like "crown" made of cardboard.
And under the crown, the hanged man in red.
And where the gallows was.
A little girl's bedroom.
Enid asked with a slightly trembling voice:
"Who painted this painting?"
Hala said:
""Death of a Clown" was hung up by Hevin. Hewen told me that its creator was called Fanny."
Enid couldn't take her eyes off the painting:
"I can feel her doubts, her struggle, her pain, her confusion..."
Enid said this last sentence through gritted teeth:
"And her anger."
Hora pointed to two other paintings:
"These three paintings are all her works."
Enid turned and looked over.
Two works with which she could not relate.
One is a naked woman soaking in a glass tank, and the other depicts a simple pastoral scene.
Although Enid could detect a possible connection, she could not see what the author wanted to express in the other two paintings.
Halla introduced:
"From left to right, they are "Death of a Clown", "I", and "Life". They are the most important works completed by the author at the age of 27, 40 and 46 respectively. They are the most important works in each stage."
Enid nodded:
"I can feel a lot of power from the first painting."
She turned her head and found Nelly looking at the third painting.
Nelly said:
"Life is... a very warm... work."
Hala said:
"I like this painting too."
Enid reluctantly looked away from "Death of a Clown":
"Do you know when Hevin will come back?"
Nelly withdrew her gaze and sat on the sofa:
"I have no idea."
Ha La also shook her head:
"I don't know either."
Enid was silent for a moment.
Then she gritted her teeth and said:
"I need him, I need to see him, really, I need his help, I don't know who can help me."
She looked at the two of them sincerely:
"I don't know if you have noticed, but recently I have become more and more irritable and impatient, and..."
Nelly nodded when she heard this.
"...and I lose control from time to time and want to do some very cruel things. If it weren't for the gift Hewen gave me, I might not be able to control myself."
After speaking, Enid showed her silver bracelet to the two of them.
Nelly said:
"When we last met, you seemed to be a very gentle knight sister, but today your attitude towards me seems a bit..."
Enid looked confused:
"Did I do something wrong?"
Hala said:
"You were a little rude to Sister Nelly just now."
Enid looked at Nelly and said guiltily:
"I'm sorry, because I can't tell the difference between right and wrong. I don't know if what I'm doing now is reasonable.
"My blood is devouring and twisting me."
Hal looked at Enid's guilty expression and said:
Chapter completed!
