449. Mirror

Two o'clock in the morning.

Enid woke up in the middle of the night.

She left her bed.

With heavy steps and dragging her dilapidated body, the woman pushed open the decaying door and came to the damp and dark bathroom.

She looked at herself in the mirror.

The young man she no longer recognized.

Fierceness and insidiousness grew in her eyes.

These things did not belong to Enid.

It was George and Karen stuffed into her chest.

Let the anger and resentment dance within it.

She just looked at the figure in the mirror, that strange figure, and Enid wanted to find something familiar about him.

She wants to prove that she is who she is.

But in the end she only found no one in the mirror.

Enid turned slowly.

A silver-haired man with a crown on his head was leaning against the bathroom door.

His face looked both heroic as a warrior and majestic as a ruler, but at the same time there was also a hint of pure evil.

Enid instantly looked down at the silver bracelet on her hand:

"impossible!"

Vortigern said:

"Nothing is impossible, I have proven everything by coming here."

Enid looked at Vortigern cautiously:

"Haven said you can't get close to me..."

Vortigern said:

"Heven? Why does he think he can stop me, the master of half a continent and the most terrifying king?

"You gave the wrong people the wrong kind of trust."

Enid said:

"No, you have no ability to control me."

Vortigern smiled and said:

"Of course not, otherwise do you think you can continue to sleep? You will sink and collapse in the corner of my soul, wailing in endless pain."

Enid retorted:

"What you promised..."

Vortigern sneered:

"You didn't accept my offer, and you actually believed me? A dragon?

"I said, you gave too many people the wrong trust."

Enid looked at Vortigern coldly:

"What do you want? I can go to Hewen now..."

Vortigern laughed and said:

"Hahaha, of course you can go, you need him, you need him, but is he here?"

Enid was silent.

Vortigern walked past Enid and stood in front of the mirror and looked at himself:

"He is not here. When you need it, it is not just him. No one is here, by your side. What are you still holding on to?

"Struggle? You clearly know that you will give up in the end, so what's the point of struggling? Will it make your pain last longer?"

Enid argued:

"Isn't that true?"

She turned and looked at Vortigern.

But her eyes were caught by the mirror.

A girl was squatting in the corner of the bathroom shivering.

Outside her location, white dragon scales occupied all the space.

Vortigern said:

"You don't have much space left. I'm devouring you step by step. You can persist, or you can give up now and leave it all to me.

"My promise is still valid. As long as you give up, there is still a place for you in this body. I will help you get back everything you deserve. I will let those who hurt you experience unbearable pain before they die. I

I will use your name to bring fear to this world.

"I will be the new Enid, and I will do better than you. No one will be disappointed. They will be shocked by your achievements and terrified by your name."

Vortigern held out his hand to Enid,

Enid stepped back, shaking her head:

"I refuse."

Vortigern said:

"If you regret it, you can call my name at any time, but if you wait until I eat you myself, then unfortunately, I will break my promise.

"I believe I won't wait too long, because the reality is much worse than I can describe. Before you succumb to my intimidation and temptation...

"Reality has already defeated you."

The white dragon scales in the mirror began to squirm, and he slowly exited the bathroom, returning this damp and dark hiding place to the little girl.

Enid stood on the wet bathroom floor, silent for a long time.

Four o'clock in the morning.

On a rocky cliff outside Wharton.

The sharp claws inserted directly into the cracks in the stone wall, and the gravel fell from the cliff.

The white monster spreads its wings.

She flapped her wings.

Then soar into the sky.

If someone looked up at the sky in this desolate land at this moment, he might see a dim patch flashing across his eyelids.

The monster knew the patrol routes of the knights, so she avoided all places where she might be found. Only some travelers might see her figure for a moment, but she knew that this would not cause her any trouble.

But what if there is?

No one would want to stop a white dragon.

Unless he wants to be torn into pieces, or develop a grudge against this ferocious beast that can only live for at least a few thousand years.

Everyone is smart.

So the monsters are unscrupulous.

She threw herself to the ground.

It hit a tree and scared away the herd.

An adult forest wolf raised its head.

It is the alpha wolf of its own tribe.

The wolf has lived for seventeen years. Among its kind, it is already considered an old guy, but it has not become weak because of the passage of time. On the contrary, it has become more cunning, stronger and dangerous.

But it has never seen anything like it.

The white figure rushed towards it.

The gray wolf jumped up.

When it hit the ground, its intestines had flowed out of its abdomen.

The monster lowered its head and buried it in the wolf's body.

She nibbled on it.

The forest is trembling.

The monster raised its head again and folded its wings.

She has her sights on new prey.

An adult male deer has a very strong body. When she swallows the upper body of the deer in her mouth, it will taste very delicious and fragrant.

Fear spreads in the air.

They once had a peaceful life.
