79. Magic Wolf Fenir

The gods applauded and boasted of Fenrir's power.

However, the worries in their hearts became more and more intense, and soon disappeared in a hurry.

The gods discovered that even chains made of the strongest materials in the world could not trap Fenir, and the fear of his power grew and took root in their hearts.

Odin once again found the best blacksmith in Asgard, and took the fragments of stars from outside the Nine Realms, higher than the sky of Asgard, and from the Infinite World lower than the underworld of Helm.

The hardest metals there were obtained from the abyss, mixed together, and made into a new iron chain - Dromi.

Even Tyr, the son of Odin and the god of war, could not escape Dromi.

They took Dromi and found Fennir again.

Odin, the god of wisdom, spoke again:

"Fenrir, you have proven your strength, but you still don't have a name to match it."

The giant wolf roared:

"Indeed, although I have killed countless giants and monsters on the battlefield, they have always called me the son of Loki, the giant wolf Finnis, but they don't want to have a suitable title like Tyr and others."

Odin explained:

"That's because you haven't proven yourself like them. Even though you have great power, the giants and gods of the nine realms have never seen it."

Fennell asked:

"God of Wisdom, you must have a way to let me get the name that belongs to me."

Odin said:

"Indeed, I brought a new pair of chains this time. This is Dromi, which is made of stars and abyssal iron. If you can still break free from its shackles, then I will sing your praises to the nine realms.

Great achievement.”

Fennir felt a little uneasy and looked around. His father Loki was not among the gods at this time.

Fennier lowered his head and said:

"I am willing to accept this challenge, too, but after I defeat the bondage, you, the father of the gods, Odin, will personally publicize my achievements for me."

Odin nodded and promised:

"Of course, son of Loki, let us put the chains on you."

Sure enough, as Odin said, this new pair of chains is much stronger than the previous one.

The giant beast was chained and kept struggling and roaring. Its front paws dug into the ground, its back was tightly arched, its sharp teeth were exposed, and its eyes were blood red.

With a roar that resounded throughout the nine realms, the giant wolf Fenir broke free from the chains again. He raised his head and howled loudly, declaring his victory.

Only once, the gods did not applaud him, but remained silent.

All the gods left with a sullen face. Fennir stopped his silent friend and asked:

"They're going to make me prove myself again, right."

Tyr, the god of justice, replied:

"I bet they will, they will."

The Father of the Gods fulfilled his promise, and all the nine realms heard of Fenir's power.

God King Odin walked alone in his palace, and the wisdom from the Fountain of Mimir and the World Tree guided his direction.

He summoned Frey, the god of fertility, the master of the light elves.

Frey sent his best messenger, Skinir, to Svartalfheim, the country of the dwarves.

The dwarves found their best blacksmith, and after listening to the messenger's intention, he informed the visitor that they could forge a rope called Gleipnir.

Odin agreed to a price that was a bit excessive.

The dwarves collected six materials from around the world.

They are:

Cat's footsteps.

Woman's beard.

The roots of the mountain.

Bear tendons.

Fish’s saliva.”

There was great doubt in Ha La's little eyes:

"But these things are not stored at all."

Hewen said:

"Because these things were used when casting Gleipnir."

Ha La opened her mouth wide:

"Wow!"

Hevin continued:

"The dwarves forged Gleipnir, which is a long and thin ribbon that is lighter than feathers and more transparent than crystal.

The gods once again gathered in front of the giant wolf.

Odin said happily:

"This time we found a stronger rope. Even if you are so strong, you cannot break free."

The giant wolf turned over on the ground without interest:

"I can break free from all ropes. I am stronger than you."

Odin said:

"Then let's try it."

The giant wolf refused:

"No, I don't need to prove anything anymore. Now many living beings in the nine realms already know my name."

Odin challenged:

"You're afraid. The last time you broke away from Dromi, you struggled with all your strength. You don't dare to continue the challenge because you're afraid of failure. In this case, you might as well admit your fear."

The giant wolf Fenir looked at the Father of the Gods, knowing that if he gave up the challenge, Odin would make sure that the entire Nine Realms heard about his cowardly deeds.

The giant wolf stood up and looked around at everyone, but still could not see his father.

That man had sworn in front of their mother that he would protect the three of them until the end of the world, and even if the end came, he would fight bloody battles with them.

The gods said that Loki was marching through the nine realms and could not come to witness his challenge. However, Fennir gradually realized that this was a lie.

Giant Wolf said:

"Odin, you are the smartest and most cunning god, but my father Loki is no less wise than you. I am his child, so naturally I am also familiar with tricks and lies.

"Let me tell you, it's not me who is afraid, but you who are afraid. You are afraid of my strength and my growing appetite. You are afraid of me because in front of me, you are as small as insects."

Odin chuckled and said:

"Finnir, you and Loki are indeed good at sophistry, but it can't hide the real fact. If you can't break free of this small thread, do we gods need to be afraid of you? If you can break free,

Why hesitate?"

Fenrir looked up at the sky. The Lord of Sky and Earth had not yet come here. The gods had already surrounded him.

The giant wolf narrowed his eyes, and dark golden light shot out:

"Eleven Lord Gods of Asgard, do any of you dare to put your arms into my mouth? As long as you do not deceive me, then I will let go of my mouth, but if you dare to deceive me, I will

It will be swallowed into the stomach.”

Fenir looked at the father of the gods. Odin could not speak for a long time, and the other gods did not dare to speak.

Only Tyr stood up:

"I would put my hand in your mouth, Fennel."

The giant wolf stared at his friend for a moment, then obediently leaned down and opened his mouth.

Tyr put his right arm into the wolf's mouth, and Fenir gently closed his mouth. The fangs hung gently above his arm without piercing the skin at all.

The gods tied Fenir up.

The giant wolf kept struggling and struggling, trying to tear the rope, but in vain.

All the gods laughed loudly, except Tyr, who was about to lose his right hand.

The giant wolf stopped twisting, lay on the ground, and looked at Odin.

The Father of the Gods remained motionless, showing no intention of untying the rope.

Fennir and Tyr looked at each other, and he saw determination and guilt in each other's eyes.

He bit down.

The gods became more and more proud and proud, except for Tyr, because he lost more than just his right hand.

"If it weren't for your fear, I would stand with you in the final battle."

At the last moment, Fenir roared an oath to Odin:

"I swear I will eat the sun, I swear I will eat the moon, and finally, I will eat you, Odin, the father of the gods."

The gods left the giant wolf on the island in the middle of the Black Lake, sealed for eternity.

Fennir, on the other hand, is feeling the growing power in his body, waiting for the day when he can break free from the rope and swallow Odin.
