Chapter 75 Attack

Crack, collapse.

Dense cracks spread rapidly on the ceiling like spider webs, and fine dust and stone powder fell down.

"Boom! Boom!"

It was as if some kind of prehistoric beast was hitting the floor, and heavy roars sounded regularly from above.

Nolan didn't know what happened.

The fatal alarm sounding crazily in his heart left him with only one thought in his mind at this moment -

run!

Thoughts flow and muscles swell.

I strained my waist and abdomen and was about to turn around and run towards the door.

The solid floor above the head could no longer withstand the huge force of the bombardment, and cracked from the center.

Immediately, Nolan saw a hand.

A thick arm with tan skin and a fist reaching down.

Like dominoes, the floor pierced by one hand collapsed in all directions at an extremely fast speed.

The owner of that arm naturally came into Nuolan's eyes.

Mixed with the dust scattered randomly in the air, the specific image of the capable figure in the sight seemed a bit blurry.

But he still captured some key information that allowed him to identify the other party's identity:

A bright smile like bathing in the sun, and a pair of green eyes like hellfire.

"'Ulver the Mad Dog'!?"

His pupils suddenly shrank, and a very familiar name recently flashed in his mind.

Before he had time to think about it, the various stone fragments brought up by Wulf as he broke through the building and fell down hit him head on with a powerful impact.

Severe pain came from his chest, and Nuolan's not-so-strong body was knocked straight away.

"Squeak!"

The terrifying sounds of bones shattering and muscles cracking echoed in the air.

But he knew in his heart that this did not happen to him.

Because before him, at some unknown moment, Brigadier General Derek's head, like a spring toy in a child's hand, had been pushed downwards into his chest by Wolf with a smile.

The shrill wailing that suddenly stopped, accompanied by hot blood splashing out like spring water, covered his consciousness.

The strange laughter coming from Ulver echoed in his increasingly sleepy brain.

Immediately, Nuolan felt her eyes go dark and fainted.

At the same time, it is located in the distant waters north of Red Whale Island.

A rather ordinary and unremarkable wooden boat floated quietly on the sea.

There were several burly men with ferocious looks standing on the deck, as if they were watching something in the direction of Red Whale Island in the distance.

"Vice Captain, when do you think we should set off?"

The somewhat urgent words came from his ears, which made Jeff frown.

"No rush, it's not time yet."

He put down the telescope in his hand and replied casually.

As the vice-captain of the "Crazy Dog Pirates", his current mission is to wait here with the crew.

After Captain Wulf has almost eliminated the main naval combat force on the island in front, he will take advantage of the chaos of the base and the lack of defensive power to go to the island and loot it.

Thinking of this, Jeff looked a little worried and sighed deeply.

No matter how confident you are in the captain's strength, it is never a wise move to challenge an entire naval base alone.

As the deputy captain, I should have dissuaded him.

In fact, he did pull Wulf to persuade him several times before he left the ship.

It's just... given the other party's character, if he had been persuaded to do so, he wouldn't have ended up like this.

Jeff's face became darker and darker.

You know, when he first entered the "New World" in the second half of the Grand Line, he was just an ordinary combatant on the ship.

Now, in less than half a year, the reason why he has become the second-in-command on the ship is not because of any outstanding abilities.

It was simply because those colleagues above me died too many and too quickly.

Ulf's overly reckless and rough character may have allowed him to take advantage of his status as a fruit power user in the first half of the "Paradise" of the Grand Line to act unscrupulously and domineeringly.

But once you enter the new world, you will face the pirates around you whose combat power is obviously a higher level, as well as the navy whose attention has increased exponentially.

Without a certain level of strength, there is only a dead end.

And this is the reason why their group of people fled back from the new world in despair.

As if remembering some terrible memory again, Jeff couldn't help but shudder.

He shook his head to dispel the shadow in his mind.

He didn't have any solution for the captain's character.

After all, they had suffered heavy losses in the New World, and the only one they could rely on now was Captain Wulf.

On the other hand, he knew in his heart that his position as deputy captain was not so secure.

Any behavior that goes against the captain's orders will be used as leverage by the seemingly loyal bastards behind him.

Being honest and obedient is all Jeff requires of himself.

In fact, if you just purely pursue wealth.

Most of the residents on islands like Red Whale Island are poor fishermen. It is a fringe island backed by a naval base. No matter how you think about it, it is unlikely that it will become a target for pirates.

But in many cases, due to various reasons, the pirates' ideas and motivations often change dramatically compared to when they first set sail.

Wolf himself is a perfect example.

The embarrassing experiences in the New World during those six months completely transformed him from an ambitious man who originally aimed to become the Pirate King to an extremist who hates the navy extremely.

Most of the reason why he chose Red Whale Island as his first target after escaping from the new world was because of the naval base stationed on the island.

"But I have made some progress after all..."

Jeff was a little relieved.

After experiencing the incident in the New World, the captain obviously learned his lesson.

At least wait until the main navy in the base has sailed away from the island before starting the operation.

In this way, with the strength shown by the captain in front of him, a remote naval branch in "Paradise" should not be a problem, right?

Thinking of this, Jeff gradually felt more relaxed.

I looked at my pocket watch and estimated that the time was almost up.

A sinister smile appeared on his face unconsciously.

I've been hiding around the sea these days, looking as embarrassed as a wild dog.

This time we captured Red Whale Island and even the naval base was taken away. Naturally, we no longer had to worry too much and could enjoy a few days in the town.

Suddenly, a cold wind seemed to blow by, making Jeff shiver suddenly.

"Mad, it's really cold today."

Just as he was about to turn around and walk into the cabin, he heard a rather lazy voice coming from his ears.

"Brother, please tell me how to get to Red Whale Island?"

Unknowingly, a tall figure stood beside him.
