Section Six: Text Five

[69 Book Bar-www.] In a blink of an eye, spring, summer, autumn and winter year after year, six years later. In addition to taking his grandfather to fish every day, Gu Xiaoshui followed his cousin Gu Haifeng all over the mountains and fields. Gu Haifeng is one year older than Gu Chunlei, and is equally old. With the same education, Gu Chunlei has always been the smartest and most cultivated and sensible girl in the entire Gu family village: she is not as fond of asking her father whether she will come back or not, and she no longer mentions when her grandfather's elixir will bloom again. The waiting in hope and the helplessness after disappointment have trained Gu Chunlei to be a young girl who can only study good books, go out of the village to go out of the village to find her father's inspirational girl. Although Gu Haifeng is a direct junior boy in the Gu family's big house, he never dreams. He makes his uncle complain to Grandpa Gu every day, asking his grandfather to educate him well:

Grandpa Gu is obviously much older. At the age of 73, he still insists on fishing and releasing ducks every day. Grandma Gu no longer nags and has no grandchildren every day, and scolds Xiaoshui for being a wild child! Sha Gu still sits under the big camphor tree, pulling her hair and blowing in the wind. The originally shawl-shouldered hair is nothing left. A Feng's personality is completely different from before. Cheng Moyu does housework all day except to work in a state-owned factory. Without big pot meals, no political constraints, small business deals, and running orders, the first batch of self-employed individuals have become rich, and they go into the sea.

Basically, they built small buildings and bought motorcycles and bicycles. But Gu Xiaoshui's father had no news. There were many people who came back. Some said that Junguo had become a big boss, some said that he lost money in business and became a beggar, and some even said that he had bought a big house and married another woman in Zhuhai, the south: they all said that they were their own, but in reality, the Gu family relied on their grandfather's retirement salary, and their mother worked every day and night, and the grandmother's housekeeper was enlightened. Although there was no two-story building, a row of clean and antique cement bungalows replaced the dilapidated tiled houses of the Gu family.

It was the afternoon of the hot summer. Gu Xiaoshui followed Gu Haifeng to play by the reservoir embankment. Several bare boys jumped into the reservoir and swam happily, and Haifeng was also among them. From time to time, he poked his head out to see if his sister was taking care of their clothes under the pile of the tree. When he saw that his sister was there, he swam several circles with peace of mind.

"Xiaoshui, are you helping your brother see his clothes?" A woman walked up to the roadside of the reservoir. Lin Yasu, the sister of Dr. Lin in the city, followed by a girl as big as Xiaoshui.

When Xiaoshui saw someone calling her, she turned her head and looked at the woman and shouted sweetly, "Auntie!"

Yasu walked up and bent down to put the big basin filled with dirty clothes on the side, got up and touched Xiaoshui's rare hair, took out a big white rabbit milk candy from her pants pocket and said, "Give it to Xiaoshui, eat candy, big milk candy:"

Xiaoshui stretched out his dirty little hand and took the candy, smelled it, peeled it and bit it half, and put the remaining half into his small pocket.

While washing clothes, Yasu said to Xiaoshui: "Xiaoshui helps aunt look at her sister!"

Only then did Gu Xiaoshui notice the girl beside her aunt. She looked at the girl as old as herself, wearing a white flower dress, pink round-toed leather shoes, combed her head with a butterfly flower that her sister always wanted. She looked at herself wearing a sweatshirt, a pair of five-minute short pants, and plastic sandals that her brother was reluctant to throw at her after she passed by. She smiled at the little girl and watched her brother swim without saying anything. She knew about the comparison for the first time in her life, and something strange happened in her young heart.

She held her face with her hands and secretly glanced at the girl next to her and felt uncomfortable: she stood up and shouted, "Brother, I want to go home!" Maybe she had swam too far, and Haifeng didn't hear her sister's scream.

Seeing that his brother had no reaction, Xiaoshui didn't know which evil spirit came up, he picked up two small bricks at his feet and threw them into the reservoir. The reservoir did not throw them in, and the bricks fell into the mud pit, and the splashed mud and water sprayed on the girl's beautiful white flower skirt.

The girl was scared and cried loudly, "Auntie, Auntie..." The crying attracted all the naked boys in the water and went up to the dam one after another.

Yasu is comforting his niece, "Yueyue, is Xiaoshui throwing the stone to hurt you?" The girl is named Lin Yue, Dr. Lin's only daughter, and she is very precious. Xiaolin Yue shook her head, nodded and shook her head, and she cried without saying anything, crying hard.

Yasu cried so hard that he cursed Gu Xiaoshui, "I gave you the baby who was reincarnated by a starving ghost. I gave you candy, and you little girl still beat someone with stones. No wonder your grandma doesn't want you!" The crying and the scolding activated Xiaoshui's jealousy that completely suppressed Xiaoshui's heart.

She shouted loudly, "I don't!" and raised the small brick that was not thrown out in her hand and threw it at Lin Yue with tears on her face. The boys were all put on their shorts, and Gu Jie pushed Gu Xiaoshui down and rode down.

Gu Haifeng kicked him away. Gu Jie is Yasu's son and Lin Yue's cousin. Gu Jie sat on the ground with his butt. Haifeng helped his sister up and pulled her behind him and said, "So what if you beat him:"

Gu Jie stood up and said, "Your sister hit my sister, don't you let me hit her."

Haifeng said: "Your mother just called me and I just called me. Did you see it?" Jiji started to quarrel.

The pedestrian on the road saw it and said, "This second girl from Teacher Gu's family is causing trouble again:"

When Yasu saw that his son couldn't say anything, Haifeng pointed at Haifeng and scolded: "A child like you will be in jail sooner or later!"

When Gu Haifeng heard that he hit Yasu's big belly with his head, Yasu tantrums and called his son to beat him. Gu Jie and Haifeng wrestled. Gu Jie was not Haifeng's opponent, and Gu Haifeng was pressed on his butt and lowered his butt. Seeing that his brother was so useless, Lin Yue ran over and bit Haifeng's small shoulder hard, biting Haifeng's scream, and a bloody tooth mark appeared on his tender shoulder.

Gu Xiaoshui rushed up, pushed Lin Yue away, and grabbed Lin Yue's little flower skirt tightly. The flower skirt was torn. Lin Yue cried and said, "She dirtyed the skirt she bought for me, but now she has torn it again. I will compensate me for the flower skirt."

Only then did everyone realize that Xiaoshui didn't hit Lin Yue. She just cried when the mud water stained her skirt! When Yasu saw that her child suffered a loss, she pulled Gu Jie and scolded him for being useless. She picked up the unwashed clothes and went home.

Gu Haifeng endured the pain in his shoulder and bent over and carried his sister back and walked home. On the way, Xiaoshui licked his brother's tooth mark with his little mouth and asked: "Brother, does it hurt?"

Haifeng replied: "It doesn't hurt." Xiaoshui said again: "Will the aunt hit you?"

Haifeng nodded and said, "I will be here to stay at my brother's house tonight, and my grandma will definitely beat you."

Xiaoshui said: "I'll go home:" As the brother and sister arrived at Xiaoshui's house, neither child dared to go in. After leaving Junguo, Grandpa Gu's younger brother and sister-in-law also died one after another. Grandpa Gu treated Haifeng's father and Haiyan's father as his sons, all of whom were brothers from Mrs. Gu's mother:

When the silly aunt saw Xiaoshui outside the door, she clapped her hands and shouted happily, "Come on, hug." Haifeng grabbed her sister's hand and walked in. When she went in, she saw Lin Yue's torn skirt on the table in the main room. Grandma was holding a bamboo whip in her hand. Xiaoshui saw that the whip was like a ghost, and broke free from her brother's hand and ran away. She just happened to hit the cousin who came in to find Haifeng. Haifeng's father lifted Xiaoshui in like an eagle catching a chicken.

Seeing that Haifeng was there, he took the bamboo whip from his grandmother's hand and beat Haifeng. Haifeng shouted hard and said, "Grandma, I did it all, I have to do with my second sister." Grandma was angry and coughing, and it took a while! Grandpa Yasu and Lin Yue came out of the inner room. Yasu held ten yuan in his hand. This ten yuan was enough for their family to eat for half a month.
