Chapter Thirty-Six: Crushing Across Times

After the Qin army retreated and gave up its two major advantages of the Huaihe River water system and the Yangtze River water system, the Northern Allied Forces finally moved, but they were very careful.

How careful are you? You only march thirty miles every day, and then you set up camp early. The camp is very strong, and there are corresponding troops every night to guard against enemy night attacks.

When crossing the Yangtze River, they were even more cautious. They first dispatched 10,000 troops to cross the river. After crossing the river, they conducted extremely detailed inspections, including tunnels, soldier caves, and traps. No one was spared.

In the past thirty miles and one day, it took half a month to reach the Yangtze River.

Now it took another seven days to check the traps and tunnels, but this was not the end. After seven days, after confirming that there were no traps on the other side, the army began to build a new camp.

The camp this time was particularly strong and semi-permanent. The construction alone took half a month, and half a month later the army began to cross the river partially in sequence every day.

By the time millions of troops crossed the Wanjiang River, two months had passed since the Qin army retreated!

In the past two months, millions of soldiers have eaten horse chews and consumed a lot of food.

Just one person consumed at least two million stones of grain! This does not include the war horses. The resources consumed to feed one war horse are equivalent to ten infantrymen.

What's even more deceptive is that the two million stones of food here were eaten by the soldiers, not counting the food consumed during transportation.

When transporting grain thousands of miles, if one operation is not good, in the end, if a hundred kilograms of grain are transported, fifty kilograms may be wasted on the road.

With such a huge consumption, the heads of aristocratic families in the north and the Buddhist abbots have long been impatient. What do you do for food? It has been two months, and not a single good news has been delivered.

Even so far, the number of the Qin army has continued to increase, from the initial 200,000 to the later 400,000, and now to the 600,000.

However, the number of millions of coalition troops has increased from 1.1 million at the beginning to 800,000 today. One hundred thousand people were consumed in the war of attrition, and there are still 200,000 people guarding the rear.

Road, left on the other side of the Yangtze River, is responsible for food security issues, that is, responsible for transporting grain.

Before the decisive battle even started, the situation changed. The strength gap between the two sides changed from 1.1 million to 300,000 at the beginning, to 800,000 to 600,000.

It looks like it’s almost done!

Then the decisive battle begins!

The combined armies of both sides amount to 1.4 million. To be honest, most people cannot command such a large army, and they don't even know how to command it.

This is why it took two months for millions of troops to cross the Yangtze River, even though there were no traps and no one interfered.

Without a sufficient number of grassroots officers, the millions of coalition troops advancing thirty miles a day was already the result of the willingness of Yang Guang, Li Mi, Li Yuan and others to cooperate.

There are not enough grassroots officers, and there are not enough advanced communication equipment. To convey orders, we rely on shouting. An order can be conveyed from the Chinese army camp to the ears of millions of troops in one day or three days.

The total strength of both sides is 1.4 million, but the width of the battlefield is more than 230 miles long and the depth is more than a hundred miles.

In the Sui Dynasty, when there were no railways or roads, it was difficult for the Northern Allied Forces to mobilize, and even slightly more complicated tactics could not be used by the Northern Allied Forces.

Now, Yang Guang and others have also discovered this problem, but there is no way, really no way. Unlike the Qin army, they have radio stations to communicate with each other, and they have tried every possible way.

But there really is nothing we can do!

The war started even though the Northern Allied Forces were not very willing, because they couldn't go on spending any more time!

One thousand meters high in the sky, there are a lot of 'big birds' here today.

These "big birds" are very strange. Each one of them is extremely big, with wings spread out to be twenty feet long. The most important thing is that there seems to be a person sitting on them.

Mo Ao sat on the Suzaku, looking down at the Northern Allied Forces below with his eyes wide open. The 800,000-strong army looked like black phalanxes standing high in the sky, and he unconsciously felt a sense of oppression.

But when Mo Ao looked at Qin Jun, he felt much better.

The armors of the Qin army are all the same, and the entire army is black. In contrast, although the coalition army is large in number, in terms of discipline, clothing, etc., it is more like a mob.

In front of Mo Ao was a radio station that was two feet high, one foot long and one foot wide. With his innate master's memory, he could even clearly translate the information into Qin language the moment it was sent.

So although he had paper and pen ready in front of him, he had no intention of eating it at all.

Wearing the radio's headset in one ear, he listened and translated the information: "Three thousand three hundred and twenty meters southeast."

Hearing this, the Mohist disciple who was controlling the Suzaku in front drove the Suzaku to the southeast and sprinted at a speed of one hundred meters per second. Considering the acceleration time, it was expected to arrive in thirty-six to thirty-nine seconds.

"The enemy's scout team was discovered. They are all cavalry moving very fast. There are as many as 300 people. It is estimated that they are a team sent by the Chinese army camp to deliver intelligence. Their speed is...the direction is..."

The moment Mo Ao translated the information, the Mohist disciple on the side drew a terrain map in his mind, up, north, down, south, left, west, right and east, and established a coordinate system with Suzaku's initial position as the origin. The enemy's speed was..., Suzaku

The speed is 100 meters per second. Question: How many degrees north by south is the departure direction so that we can arrive in the shortest time?

The Taoist disciples around him figured out this question in one breath, and then told the Mohist disciples the answer. Suzaku continued to adjust its angle and move forward.

"Requesting bomb support, requesting Suzaku support, suspecting that a master is accompanying us, requesting support from a master!"

By the time he finished translating the last sentence of information, a full fifteen seconds had passed. The Mohist disciples on the side silently found three bombs weighing ten kilograms.

Although it seems that there is not enough ammunition, each one is only ten kilograms, but this thing is TNT, the king of bombs, and anyone who dares to underestimate it will pay the price!

Forty seconds later, Suzaku arrived at an altitude of 800 meters. Fifty seconds later, Suzaku arrived at an altitude of 200 meters. He watched the cavalry underground drop three bombs that had been prepared long ago.

Boom!

The huge air wave threw a large amount of soil into the sky, and many cavalrymen completely lost consciousness before they could react.

Only the vigilant innate players, the powerful Grand Masters, and a very few lucky ones survived, but what awaited them was the encirclement and killing by the elite scouts of Great Qin!

A quarter of an hour later, the battlefield was over. Mo Ao blew on the smoking gun, carefully inspected it, put it away, and started transmitting to the radio: Solve it, request instructions!

About eight breaths later, a new order came through: Five thousand meters southwest, our army and the enemy had an encounter. The enemy's number was about three thousand...
