Chapter 43 Mu Cheng

Liu Zhihua took a look at Mu Cheng and didn't recognize him at all. She also saw that his face was covered with pimples as if he had some disease. She frowned and hurriedly picked up Jiaojiao and checked him worriedly.

Jiaojiao obediently hugged her mother and said, "Jiaojiao is fine. It's this big brother who wants to talk to Yao's mother."

Hearing Guabao call her big brother, Liu Zhihua frowned and said seriously to the unfamiliar boy: "You little liar from nowhere, I have never seen you. When did you become your aunt?"

Mu Cheng's face was red and nervous. Looking at the round-waisted woman in front of him, he also wondered if he had found the wrong person.

Seeing him like this, Liu Zhihua waved her hand and said, "I don't know you. If you want to find your aunt, look for her elsewhere."

"But, my mother asked me to find a relative named Liu Zhihua. I heard from my younger brothers and sisters that she is you." Mu Cheng explained in a low voice.

Liu Zhihua was stunned for a moment, then looked at him carefully, but still had no impression.

Jiaojiao said softly: "Brother, where is your portrait."

"Oh, yes! Portrait."

Saying that, Mu Cheng quickly took out the portrait and a bunch of red tassels from his arms, and hurriedly explained: "My mother's name is Liu Xiuhua, and she lives in Xiaohe Village. My mother asked me to bring this tassel to my aunt."

Hearing the familiar name, Liu Zhihua glanced at the familiar tassels, which were made by Grandma.

Liu Zhihua took the painting and looked at it, suddenly recalling her unmarried appearance. She and Xiuhua went to the town to sell wild goods together, and met a painter on the way.

Liu Xiuhua is a child from Grandma's mother's side. When she was young, her parents went out and died in a cave collapse. She has since become an orphan, and her life is as miserable as hers.

Grandma thought she was pitiful, so she brought her back and raised her for two years. During the two years, the two sisters got along very well. Later, they were taken away by their relatives. There has been no news since then. Grandma never showed up without her. Liu Zhihua was originally an orphan.

After getting married, the relatives in the Liu family gradually became estranged, and they even stopped interacting with each other in recent years.

So after hearing this name, Liu Zhihua was still filled with emotion. She sighed and looked at Mu Cheng, her face softened a little and she said, "I am, what did your mother want you to do?"

Mu Cheng was overjoyed when he heard this, and explained with choked sobs: "Auntie, my name is Mu Cheng. Our family has experienced great changes. My mother will not let me disturb you unless it is absolutely necessary. I, our family really have no choice."<

After saying that, Mu Cheng clenched his fists and lowered his head in shame, his eyes red and full of tears.

Relatives at home avoided him, and my mother had no choice but to let him come here.

When Liu Zhihua heard this, the joy that had just risen in her heart subsided a little, and there was a little more emotion in her eyes.

When I left, there was no news, my grandmother passed away and she never came back, and I haven’t contacted her for more than ten years, but now she suddenly came to my door to borrow money.

Thinking of their original friendship, Liu Zhihua sighed and pointed to the earthen house behind her, and said to Mu Cheng: "Since you call me aunt, I will tell you the truth. Look at the place where we live. If you have too much silver, you can take it."

Not coming out."

Mu Cheng was stunned. He had just been busy recognizing people and didn't notice the situation at his aunt's house.

He looked up and saw four dilapidated yellow mud houses. Although the yard was clean and tidy, it was very shabby and old.

There are also the clothes that the aunt is wearing, a linen shirt that is frayed and has white fur edges, the trouser legs are full of patches, and the shoes are straw sandals commonly worn by farmers.

Mu Cheng's tears instantly rose. He clenched his fists and felt that his face was red. He lowered his head and said in a low voice: "Auntie, I didn't see it. I'm sorry."

After saying that, Mu Cheng turned around and was about to leave, but Liu Zhihua grabbed him.

Liu Zhihua had always been a sharp-tongued person. Seeing that this child was dressed in rags and his behavior was not that of those shameless ones, he softly said, "It's a long way from Xiaohe Village to here. Let's go inside and have a drink of water."

Mu Cheng didn't drink water all the way, and his mouth was chapped and peeling. Hearing that his throat was getting dry and sore, he hesitated but nodded.

Entered the house,

Liu Zhihua put down Jiaojiao in her arms and went to the kitchen to pour water for Mu Cheng.

In the room, Mu Cheng sat in a somewhat reserved posture, looking at the house that was even more dilapidated than his own with bright eyes, feeling even more guilty in his heart. Life at his aunt's house was so hard, and he shouldn't have come.

Jiaojiao looked longingly at the sleeping little kitten in Mu Cheng's arms. Bai Miaomiao thought, this big brother is short of money, so she can buy it with him with some silver.

Jiaojiao was just thinking about what to say, when Mu Cheng suddenly stood up and handed over the little kitten in his arms. To avoid scaring his sister, he covered his face and said, "Sister, I'll give this to you."

Jiaojiao was stunned and looked up at him with big black eyes: "Big brother?"

Mu Cheng explained in a low voice: "This is the cub of my cat. My mother said that my aunt likes cats, so she asked me to bring it specially. It is for your family."

Jiaojiao was very happy, holding the sleeping cat and looking around.

Liu Zhihua, who was holding a bowl of water at the door, sighed when she saw this scene.

It's hard for Xiuhua to still remember her hobbies, but after all these years of hard work, she no longer misses these cats and dogs. She just feeds them more and doesn't have much time to play with them.

Xiao Li's sharp eyes saw his mother standing at the door. He touched his stomach and said pitifully: "Mom, I'm so hungry."

Liu Zhihua walked in and sighed: "I'm hungry every day, but the kitchen has already heated up sweet potatoes and vegetables, and I'll be able to eat them soon."

Xiao Li touched his belly and nodded: "Oh."

Liu Zhihua walked in, handed the water to Mu Cheng, and said, "Drink."

Just in case he drank it in a hurry and choked, some fried wheat was sprinkled on top.

Mu Cheng quickly wiped his hands and took it. When he saw the fried wheat clearly, his heart warmed up and he quickly said gratefully: "Thank you, auntie."

"Sit down and talk. Let's have lunch today before leaving. After drinking water, talk to your aunt about your mother."

As Liu Zhihua spoke, she went to grab a handful of Jiaojiao snacks from the mahogany cabinet, walked over and put them in Mu Cheng's hand.

"Okay, thank you, auntie." Mu Cheng quickly thanked him, but did not touch the snacks at all. Instead, he held the big bowl, blew on the wheat floating on it, and drank it in small sips.

Liu Zhihua glanced at him, then at her sweet baby and the little white cat in her arms, and asked with a smile: "Does Jiaojiao like this cat?"

"Yes, I like it." She smiled with her delicate white dumpling-like face, hugging the sleeping kitten and smoothing its soft fur. The kitten is so soft.

Seeing this, Liu Zhihua smiled, touched her daughter's hair, and said, "Since it is your Aunt Xiuhua's heart, we will stay and play with you."

Jiaojiao nodded happily, hugged Mao'er and Mu Cheng and said, "Thank you, brother~Thank you, Auntie Xiuhua."

Mu Cheng, who was drinking water, immediately put down his bowl when he heard this, and hurriedly replied: "As long as my sister likes it."

He was relieved in his heart, seeing that his aunt was no longer estranged from him. After drinking, he put the bowl aside, wiped the water droplets from the corner of his mouth with his sleeve, and apologized like a little adult: "Auntie, I was reckless today, I
