6. Chapter 6 Met a ghost?!

I thought to myself where this weirdo came from, but he probably didn't mean any harm.

Sitting on the rickety carriage, I rolled up my trouser legs carefully. The calf was probably fractured. The skin was bruised and swollen, but the skin was not broken much. It was probably only a slight fracture.

I gently touched the injured area with my fingers, and felt a sharp pain, "Hiss..." I couldn't help grinning, it really hurt! I gently lowered my trouser leg, not daring to touch it again.

Although I kept reminding myself to calm down, I had never been so hurt before, and still felt a little pain in my heart. In order to distract my mind and reduce the pain, I had no choice but to take out the comb the old man gave me from my arms and play with it.

"Ahem!" Hearing the cough, I turned my head to look at the expressionless boy sitting next to me, feeling depressed.

I met him twice. Once he asked me who I was and gave me food to eat. Once his carriage hit me.

This boy only said 2 sentences during the 2 meetings. What makes him at such a young age show a personality that is inconsistent with his age?

Thinking about my own time, children of his age should be carrying schoolbags, playing game consoles, listening to R&B music, and chasing stars.

There were only two of us in the huge carriage. To break the awkward atmosphere, I spoke first: "Hello, we meet again. Thank you for giving me food last time."

The boy lowered his eyes and remained silent. Seeing that he didn't answer me, I had no choice but to continue talking to myself. Who made me meet a weirdo?

"I don't think you meant it just now, but it is very dangerous to let the carriage run so fast on such a crowded street. I'd better not do it next time."

The boy still didn't answer, so I cleared my throat and continued: "I have no relatives or friends here. I met you twice, so I am destined. If you ask someone to help me heal my leg, I won't blame you."

Seeing that he was still half-closing his eyes and ignoring me, I felt even more depressed. I thought that this poor kid must have the tendency of autism mentioned in psychology. I also closed my eyes to concentrate and ignored each other. For a while, except for the coachman who slapped me from time to time.

The sound of horses driving forward and snorting was all quiet.

For people who are used to riding in modern cars, riding in this horse-drawn carriage is simply a torture. My body keeps shaking from side to side as the carriage moves forward. It makes me dizzy and I have to close my eyes. But closing my eyes makes me even more dizzy.

, causing me to unconsciously fall into half-dreaming memories.

I still remember that day, I went home with the jade pendant given by the strange old man. After taking a shower, I lay on the bed with some wet hair hanging on the side of the bed. I held the phone in my hand and looked at the crystal chandelier on the ceiling.

Tell your best friend about the adventure of the jade pendant.

"...Hey, do you think the old lady has a particularly handsome grandson? She likes me and wants me to be her grandson's wife!" I said out of the blue.

"Ha, you read too much Xiaoyan. I guess she might be your long-lost grandma." An even more unreliable reason came from the mouth of my best friend.

That night, while I was sleeping in a daze, I felt someone turning over my clothes. I thought it was a dream, so I scratched it with my hands. Unexpectedly, I encountered a pair of cold hands, which made me feel hairy all over and I had to open my eyes.

Open your eyes.

The old lady I had seen on the lawn in the afternoon suddenly appeared in front of me. Her face was illuminated by the moonlight coming in from the window. At this time, I was no longer sleepy. Goosebumps appeared all over my body. I didn't dare to move my body and my eyes were straight.

Looking at the old man, the words calling for help disappeared in my throat due to the huge panic. Could it be that I encountered a ghost?!

"Qingchi, don't be afraid, I won't harm you!" The old lady's gentle voice sounded in the empty room late at night.
