2, Team Su(1/2)
The daylight in the city is getting brighter, office workers are crowding into subways and buses, and the traffic on the roads is busy.
The traffic flow merged into a long river, and Yi Yan's black Mercedes-Benz was stuck in the middle of the road.
During rush hours, the honking of cars comes and goes.
Yi Yan was not in a hurry. Others were at work and she was off work. However, the sound of the horn made her inexplicably anxious because she had a cold and dizziness.
Yi Yan hung his hands on the car window to support his head, and frowned impatiently.
Two minutes later, the traffic moved slowly. Yi Yan drove slowly for a while, and when he reached the fork in the road, he stepped on the accelerator and left the busy main road.
After returning home, Yi Yan went to the bathroom and took a shower. He couldn't wash his hair because he had a cold, but Yi Yan couldn't bear it and came out of the bathroom with wet hair.
Fortunately, the high-end community is warm in winter, and Yi Yan doesn't even feel cold even in a bathrobe. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows of the high-rise building, the whole city is as busy as ants.
She walked on the floor with bare feet, came to the bed and sat down.
The bathrobe was not tied tightly, and it was loose, revealing half of the round arc of her chest.
Yi Yan put his hands behind his back, took out the cigarette case on the bedside table and pulled out a cigarette. The lighter clicked, and Yi Yan threw the lighter back to the bedside table and slowly exhaled the smoke.
After a cigarette, she still maintained this posture.
When the cigarette burned out, she raised her hand and put it out in the ashtray on the bedside table.
With her hair almost dry, Yi Yan took off her bathrobe and threw it on the floor. She lay naked under the quilt and slept.
I slept until around 12 noon, when my bedside cell phone rang loudly.
Over and over again, persevering.
Even though Yi Yan was sick, her sleep did not improve. She was woken up and stared at the ceiling. It took a while before she made any move. She fumbled her hand out of the bed to pick up her cell phone.
There was a series of landline numbers on the screen. Although there was no remark for this number, Yi Yan was particularly familiar with it.
Yi Yan frowned, hung up the phone and turned off the phone.
Living day after day, working night shifts at night and sleeping during the day, I feel like a lonely ghost wandering away from the mainstream crowd.
Yi Yan never saw Su An again.
She hasn't seen him since that day in the hospital.
Life seems to be unaffected. Yi Yan goes to work, eats, and sleeps as usual, and is a normal office worker.
Yi Yan had a day shift that day and got off work at around 6 p.m. On the way back, it was no surprise that he was stuck in the rush hour.
There was a long queue of cars and horns blared one after another.
When Yi Yan was bored, a call came in.
Yi Yan glanced at the screen and answered the phone.
"Have you finished get off work? I remember you were working during the day shift today."
The boy's young voice, mixed with noisy background sounds, rushed into Yi Yan's ears.
Yi Yan unconsciously tapped the steering wheel with his fingers: "No, I have to work overtime temporarily."
"You're fucking farting. If you're lying, I'll close your car window first. I can hear the horn from your side."
Yi Yan was actually just joking and asked, "What? Are you looking for something from me?"
Ji Tang is Yi Yan's friend. Apart from being rich, good-looking, and kind-hearted, Ji Tang has no other merits. He has an irritable and squeamish personality.
He said, "Actually, there's nothing wrong. I just wanted to ask if you would come out tonight."
Yi Yan: "I won't go."
"Let me see what you can do. Being a doctor is like becoming an immortal. I am so pure and devoid of desires."
Yi Yan: "Shut up, you think everyone is just doing nothing like you."
Ji Tang hit back: "How could I be idle? I am a rich second generation with a job."
The traffic ahead moved slowly, and Yi Yan shifted into forward gear: "Oh, you are quite proud."
Ji Tang continued the topic just now: "I can understand if you don't come out to play when you work the night shift, but I don't understand if you don't come out to play after rest at night. Why would you go out to play at night if you don't come out to play?"
Yi Yan took it for granted: "Sleep."
"Tell me, are you looking for trouble? What kind of doctor should you be? Do doctors do the work? I am so exhausted every day that I have to look at the patient's face."
The field of vision gradually broadened, Yi Yan's car speed became faster and faster, and the buildings on both sides quickly retreated.
Listening to Ji Tang's words in the earphones, her lips curled up silently, a bit sarcastic. She didn't know whether the words were true or false.
"To survive."
Yi Yan did not go home in the end. Ji Tang wanted to find a restaurant to have dinner together, but Yi Yan refused, and the two made an appointment at Fangyin Street.
Fangyin Street is not a commercial district. There are many small stalls and hawkers nearby, as well as old-fashioned residential buildings with wooden attic windows that open to both sides.
When Yi Yan got off the car at Fangyin Street, she saw Ji Tang squatting on the roadside eating pancakes.
Ji Tang is already white, and her face turns even pale when the weather is cold.
Yi Yan put his hands in his trench coat pockets and walked to the other side of the road.
The leaves on both sides of the street have fallen off, the branches are bare, and the dead branches are gray and gray.
Ji Tang was shivering from the cold and saw Yi Yan complaining: "Why do you come to this broken street? It's so cold." He said and stuffed the pancakes he bought to Yi Yan.
Ji Tang was so cold that his teeth chattered: "I haven't been back since I graduated from high school. Many old buildings here are gone, but the pancakes are still as delicious as before."
Yi Yan looked at No. 2 Middle School at the end of the road: "It hasn't changed much. Well, the school hasn't changed at all."
The street lights were dim, and the entrance to No. 2 Middle School was still the same as before.
Ji Tang took a look and said, "Nothing has changed. The school has been renovated. Almost ten years have passed. How could there be no change at all?"
It’s almost ten years, and it’s impossible for people or things to remain unchanged.
Just like the person I met a few days ago.
Yi Yan was silent, not knowing what he was thinking. After a while, he suddenly asked.
"Do you still remember Su An?"
Ji Tang was still eating pancakes. When he heard this, he raised his head and asked incoherently: "Su An? Who is it?"
"It's nothing," Yi Yan lightly kicked Ji Tang's foot, "get up and find a restaurant to eat."
Although Ji Tang is a second-generation rich man, he often does not have the style of a second-generation rich man. He stood up and said, "I just finished eating the pancakes. One pancake is not full at all. I want to eat beef noodles from Lao Tangji."
Lao Tang Ji is a noodle soup shop on Fangyin Street. It has been open for more than ten years and has a good reputation. It is still full of repeat customers. The shop is located next to the gate of No. 2 Middle School, and students flock here after school.
It is now evening study time for students, and office workers have gone home after get off work due to the cold weather. There are not many people in the store.
Yi Yan and Ji Tang sat down at a table by the wall, and both ordered beef noodles.
Soon the beef noodles were served. The ingredients were generous, the clear soup was oily, and the handmade beef noodles were sprinkled with chopped green onions.
Ji Tang snorted his noodles with chopsticks and puffed out his cheeks: "Are you going to go back to bed after eating?"
Yi Yan: "Why are you going back? It's hard to come out, so of course you'll stay up all night."
Ji Tang: "...Dr. Yi, why did you tell me you came here two hours ago? You want to go home and sleep. You are a bit energetic. You have to go to work at six o'clock tomorrow."
Yi Yan suddenly asked: "Have you been rejected by your senior sister again today?"
Ji Tang, who was eating beef: "..."
Yi Yan and Ji Tang both went to No. 2 Middle School. Yi Yan was Ji Tang’s senior. When she was in her third year of high school, Ji Tang was in her first year. Ji Tang liked a senior in the same class as Yi Yan, but he had been pursuing her for ten years.
The senior sister still didn't agree to him.
He glanced at Yi Yan: "Can you not open which pot and lift which pot?"
Yi Yan glanced at the wind and shrugged: "No."
Ji Tang threw his chopsticks: "Yi Yan, let me tell you, even if you want to go back to sleep today, I won't let you go back! You will be exhausted."
Yi Yan laughed: "Little brat."
midnight.
The nightclub is noisy and colorful lights are flowing.
Yi Yan and Ji Tang came out of the nightclub. They were shocked by the high-decibel music inside for a long time, and when they came out, they still had tinnitus in their ears.
Ji Tang felt a little swaying when walking: "Am I getting old? I won't be able to dance and dance anymore after a while. I'm top-heavy."
Yi Yan: "You were drunk."
Ji Tang: "I'm not drunk."
Yi Yan: "..."
Yi Yan was actually a little drunk, but the cold wind blew her mind soberly, but her mood became even more irritable.
Every tree and plant tonight was so familiar that she couldn't breathe.
About that person and that age.
To be continued...
