Chapter 2 Nine Yin and Nine Yang

Kaifeng is the most splendid city in the world. It has the reputation of "one city with Song Dynasty charm and half city with water". It is a veritable northern water city.

There are rivers and lakes here, a mild climate, and convenient transportation. In addition, it was once the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, and the urban layout is even more grand. The entire city is divided into an outer city, an inner city, an imperial city, a triple city wall, and three moats.

The transportation within the city is compatible with land and water and is unobstructed. In terms of layout, the closed neighborhood system has been broken and replaced with open streets for commercial and residential use, integrating the neighborhood and the city into one, taking into account the dual layout of residential and commercial areas.

In the spring of 1127 AD, Jin soldiers captured Bianjing City, heralding the demise of the Northern Song Dynasty.

In the next dozen years, Kaifeng has been a key area fought for by the Jin soldiers and the Southern Song Dynasty armies. The entire city was attacked by war, causing considerable damage.

The Southern Song Dynasty court organized several Northern Expeditions, among which Yue Fei's achievements were the most outstanding. He once regained Luoyang and other places, and even shouted that he would go straight to Huanglong Mansion and destroy the Jin Kingdom.

Yue Fei and Wanyan Wushu fought fiercely in Zhuxian Town near Kaifeng. Wanyan Wushu was defeated and had no choice but to abandon Kaifeng and return to Hebei.

However, everything ended in 1142 AD. In this year, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty killed Yue Fei and other Northern Expedition generals on "unfounded" charges, negotiated peace with the Kingdom of Jin, and gave up the rule of the Jiangbei region in exchange for surviving in the south of the Yangtze River.

From then on, Kaifeng became an important military stronghold of the Jin Kingdom in the Central Plains, blocking several Northern Expeditions after the Southern Song Dynasty. As long as Kaifeng was not lost, it would not have a fatal impact on the Jin Kingdom.

Wanyan Jing sent Wanyan Honglie here because he wanted him to become a barrier to protect the Jin Kingdom and keep the Southern Song Dynasty out of the country. However, he did not expect that the danger to the Jin Kingdom did not come from the south, but was lurking in Mobei.

That ferocious prairie wolf.

Yang Kang looked at this famous city through the ages, thinking about the famous battles in history, and couldn't help but feel a little leisurely and fascinated.

When he was in Zhongdu, he searched the court records to find evidence that Qin Hui was a spy of the Jin State, but found nothing. Of course, many of the records of the Jin State had been deleted or beautified.

For example, Wanyan Wushu's failure was described as a strategic retreat, Yue Fei was described as a murderous butcher, etc. This is just a propaganda method.

Yang Kang knew that he would have to live in this city for the next few years, or even longer.

That's fine, because when he was in Zhongdu, he was too conspicuous and had to attend endless banquets, so he had no time to do what he wanted to do.

Wanyan Honglie lost the chance to inherit the throne, so naturally no one paid attention to Yang Kang's whereabouts. The gap between a future prince and a future prince was absolutely worlds apart.

No one came to please him anymore, and no one smiled at him anymore. This did not make him feel disappointed. Instead, he felt relaxed. At least he no longer had to pretend to smile. There was nothing wrong with living a real life.

When Yang Kang saw Mei Chaofeng, she was digging a hole. When she arrived at the new palace, she had to dig a new hole so that she could continue to practice. He had no choice but to pick up a shovel and help Mei Chaofeng speed up the digging process.

During this period, his relationship with Mei Chaofeng developed rapidly, especially after he verified the scriptures stolen from the ancient tomb with Mei Chaofeng, and gained the trust of Aunt Mei.

As for the origin of the scripture, Yang Kang explained that he accidentally discovered it from the manuscript written by Wang Chongyang in Chongyang Palace. Seeing that some martial arts were similar to those practiced by Aunt Mei, he copied it for a look.

He learned from the storage method of "Nine Yang Manual".

The "Nine-Yang Sutra" was placed in the gap between Bodhidharma's handwritten "Lengjia Sutra" in the Sutra Pavilion of Shaolin Temple. It is not surprising that the "Nine-Yin Sutra" was found in Wang Chongyang's manuscript.

Mei Chaofeng knew that the "Nine Yin Manual" was a martial arts secret book obtained by Wang Chongyang when he defeated four other peerless masters during the first Huashan Sword Dispute, so it would make sense to discover some martial arts in the scripture in Wang Chongyang's manuscript.

Can be forgiven.

She was a little surprised that Wang Chongyang's manuscripts should be extremely precious to the Quanzhen Sect, so how could a child read them at will? However, she was relieved when she thought about the identity of the young prince Yang Kang.

Perhaps those Taoist priests didn't even know that the manuscript contained peerless martial arts. This child was so lucky. She and Chen Xuanfeng risked death in order to steal the scripture.

Since Yang Kang shared the scripture so generously, Mei Chaofeng felt that he could not hide his secrets, so he took out the piece of human skin that was kept close to his body. Anyway, the martial arts Yang Kang just mentioned covered most of the content of the second volume.

She was blind and could not see the writing on human skin, so she had to rely on groping to identify it. The past few years had been extremely hard. At this time, it was easy to find someone she could trust, so she wanted to know the full content of the scriptures.

, In the past, Chen Xuanfeng never showed the scriptures to Mei Chaofeng.

In this way, Yang Kang was able to see the true face of the second volume of the Sutra, which shows that children have an innate advantage in gaining trust.

The work of digging the hole came to an end, and the excavated soil needed to be slowly transported outside. The two people sat together and exchanged martial arts experiences. As they talked, they returned to the internal skills. There was no basis for the internal skills in the first volume. The martial arts in the second volume were like

The sourceless water feels awkward no matter how you practice it.

There are two ways to solve this bottleneck.

One is to find another profound internal strength instead, and Yang Kang thought of the "Nine Yang Manual".

If the "Nine Yin Manual" integrates all the martial arts secrets in the world, then the "Nine Yang Manual" integrates all the internal skills and mental methods in the world.

But he was not sure whether the "Nine Yang Manual" was in the Shaolin Temple. He remembered that the "Nine Yang Manual" was created by a strange man. Wang Chongyang had shown the "Nine Yin Manual" to that strange man.

After reading it, the strange man felt that the "Nine Yin Sutra" was too feminine, so he hid in the Shaolin Temple and began to write the "Nine Yang Sutra", and later hid the sutra in the cracks of the "Lenga Sutra".

Yang Kang didn't know how many years it took that strange man to write the "Nine Yang Manual". Maybe that person hadn't finished the manuscript yet. Procrastination was an occupational disease for all writers.

The second way is naturally to look for the first volume of the "Nine Yin Manual".

"The first volume of the scriptures is with the master." Mei Chaofeng said calmly, "I'm afraid I won't have a chance to get it."

This was the first time Mei Chaofeng mentioned Huang Yaoshi in front of Yang Kang.

She and Chen Xuanfeng stole the second volume of the Sutra. After practicing it, they felt that they couldn't master it, so they returned to Peach Blossom Island to steal the second volume. Unexpectedly, they saw Huang Yaoshi and Zhou Botong fighting over the Sutra, and they were so scared that they ran away again.

After leaving Peach Blossom Island, I never dared to go back.

Yang Kang calculated that Huang Rong should be only four or five years old at this time. As a full-time nanny, Huang Yaoshi would definitely not have time to leave Peach Blossom Island and wander around. At this time, going to Peach Blossom Island to steal scriptures was just asking for death.

However, he had already planned this, but the time hadn't arrived yet, so he decided to try his luck at the Shaolin Temple first. Anyway, Kaifeng Mansion was only two or three days away from Dengfeng County, where the Shaolin Temple was located, so it was just a spring outing.
