Chapter 4 Demonic Qi

The day before, it rained, the road was muddy, and the peddler carrying a load was hurried by with a paper windmill. The Green Forest Knight holding a sword squatted on the side of the road, holding wheat ears, grinning, or watching the people entering the city silently. The patrol soldiers came over and restrained them a little.

After entering the city, there was a prosperous scene, with tea servants making noises, and the guy holding teapots loudly attracted customers. Those who had to stop were in a while and sat in a small seat on the street stalls on both sides untied the steamer. The steaming meat patties exuded an attractive aroma. The fat boy in brocade held the butler's hand, stood there with greed, yelling to buy it.

Occasionally, there were shrill screams on the streets. From a distance, a bunch of people crowded there, like a group of famous tourists in the world and fighting. The noise of swords and weapons caused riots. The nearby stalls were overturned, and the soup, pots and bowls were in a mess.

Someone shouted: "The officers and soldiers are here."

A group of people scattered like birds and beasts.

Lu Liangsheng stood far away and looked for a while, then was pulled away by Lu Laoshi, "Don't look, don't study, it's a fatal blow."

Soon, the father and son walked into the shop with paper fans. The fragrance of ink came to his nose. Lu Liangsheng stepped into the threshold and took a deep breath. At the counter opposite, the shopkeeper who heard footsteps put down the account book and raised his head, "Look at it casually."

On both sides of the store, bookshelf made of teak, white hemp and jute paper were stacked in batches, neatly marked, and some were printed into blank booklets, stacked there for people to choose from.

"Shopkeeper, we want to choose a pen." Lu Laoshi looked at it and said gently: "It doesn't matter if the cheaper ones are smaller, you recommend it."

The shopkeeper looked at the clothes of the two of them, but he did not show the attitude of looking down on others. It is also a small profit for a fly.

He nodded to the father and son, behind him was a pen holder, full of all kinds of brushes that had not yet been dyed ink: "Don't worry, brother, the businessman is talking about integrity. Even if the cheap pen is, we will not sell you bad goods."

The brush hanging on it is arranged in various sizes, from the small regular script to the long tip to the short tip, or from the different materials used in the pen tip.

"Pig hair is the cheapest. If you use it for a while, it will be easy to split... Rabbit hair, sheep hair, and wolf hair are the best. Among them, rabbit hair is the cheapest of the three. Brother, how about this one?"

“What is this price?”

"Ten Wen." The shopkeeper took off the rabbit hair pen and made a gesture.

Put it on the stage and let Lu Liangsheng see that the pen tube is made of bamboo, which looks quite green and jasper-like. Lu Laoshi calculated the money in his pocket, looked at his son with a glance, and gritted his teeth to buy it.

"Hey! I've seen something!"

There was a noise outside, and the footsteps suddenly sounded. Following the blowing suona and the gong came, covering up Lu Laoshi's words. The father and son walked to the door curiously. Pedestrians separated on the long street, stood on the edge of the street, and looked at the end of the street, and the dragon and lion dance team came to this side. Several people on stilts were wearing funny clothes, waving their long sleeves, swaying and singing songs, passing by in a clanging sound.

The atmosphere on the street is particularly lively, and Lu Laoshi rarely sees such a scene. He can't help but ask the old man selling vegetables on the street: "Brother-in-law, what are the happy events in this city?"

"Are you here outside? This is the birthday of Chen Yuanwai of Fushui County, and the opera troupe invited to perform."

After thanking the boss, the dragon and lion dance team had passed. When I returned to the store and bought the pen, the shopkeeper waved his hand: "Two, sorry, suddenly I remembered that when I bought the price before, I forgot to calculate the calculation and had to add some to sell it to you."

As he said that, he compared gestures.

"You want fifteen quotas!"

"You..." Lu Laoshi clenched his fists and blushed. You took a long time to put it in a sentence: "If you don't talk about your trust, you'll have a ten-month sentence. How can you change your mind and not trust?"

"But it's really the price." The shopkeeper spread his hands and pointed at the brush on the table: "I can't sell it to you at a loss, right?"

"Bully, don't buy it."

Lu Laoshi couldn't make any sense, so he turned his head and walked to the door. However, Lu Liangsheng was still standing in front of the counter, without any intention of leaving. He looked at the brush on the stage for a while, and suddenly looked at the shopkeeper with a smile.

"The price has been negotiated, then it is mine, not yours." The hand hanging on the side of his legs pinched his fingers.

The shopkeeper stroked the cockscomb hat on his head and chuckled: "If you didn't sell it to you, that doesn't count. It's still here with me, that's mine."

Smiling, shaking his wide sleeves, and going to get the pen, but his face suddenly changed. He used his hands to force his pen, but the pen was still motionless.

"What's going on..."

The shopkeeper looked up and looked at Lu Liangsheng again, using both hands together, pulling them hard, and leaning outward, his face turned red.

Turning his head and shouting, "Come on someone."

The shopkeeper came out of the back hall after hearing the sound. Seeing the shopkeeper's appearance, he stepped forward to help. The two adults could move at least 200 kilograms of objects. However, their faces were red and they didn't move the pen a little.

"You...you know magical magic?"

Lu Liangsheng did not answer, but took out ten copper coins and put them on the counter, "It's mine."

He reached out and picked up the pen easily, shook it in front of the two of them, and then went to the bookshelf to get a blank booklet and ink blocks.

"How much does these two cost?"

The shopkeeper wiped the sweat stains on his face, swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and waved his hand: "I'm giving it to you little brother, you'd better... leave quickly."

"Then thank the shopkeeper for being generous, but I won't take advantage of you."

Lu Liangsheng put the last few cents he saved at the counter and thanked him. Then he left the shop. His father, Lu Laoshi, sat on the street and was angry as he had just now.

"The people in the city are too bullying..."

When he saw his son coming out and seeing the ink book in his hand, he quickly stood up, "Has he sold it to you?"

"I told some truth, and the shopkeeper was very kind, so he sold it."

"That's pretty good."

While walking, he said, leaving this street and walking to the city gate, he passed by a stall. Suddenly, a voice called the father and son. Turning back, a small black and white banner stood up. The old man with a goatee was sitting below, pinching his bearded tip, his eyes were turbid, and he stared at Lu Laoshi.

"Don't this brother buy a piece of talisman paper to ward off evil spirits?"

"How can you say this fortune teller..." Lu Laoshi stopped doing it and pulled his son away. "Who is so good to buy you such a cheating thing? Liangsheng, let's go."

The fortune teller smiled awkwardly, put down his fortune chart, and sometimes he opened his mouth suddenly to scare people who passed by. If a blind cat meets a dead mouse, there will always be people who have a ghost in their hearts to be deceived. Of course, the most important thing is to look at the other party's clothes. If they come from the village, most of them are superstitious about this. They go to markets outside and there are many people from various townships. Today, they have opened several orders.

When he turned his head, he suddenly looked at the young man beside the farmer, trembled suddenly, quickly lowered his head, and did not dare to lift it up.

"What a heavy demonic aura..."

It was not until the old man walked away that he dared to raise his face, and his leaving back was also a little confused.
