Chapter Ninety-fifth: Summoning Strangers and Meeting Old Qi(2/2)

Fang Xiong nodded, stopped the carriage, got out of the car and walked into the bookstore.

After a while, Fang Xiong came to the car holding several rolled-up maps, followed by an old man about fifty years old.

Fang Xiong knocked on the carriage and said, "Second Master, Mr. Qi from the bookstore wants to see you."

Zhang Sui opened the curtains and saw the old man standing next to the car with a prim and informal smile. After thinking about it in his mind, he remembered that this was probably the Mr. Qi who framed the painting for Third Sister.

Zhang Sui quickly opened the curtain and jumped out of the carriage, came to Mr. Qi, bowed his hands and bowed. He smiled and said: "It turns out to be Mr. Qi. I asked Fang Xiong to buy some maps. I didn't expect Mr. Qi to be here."

Seeing his respectful attitude, Mr. Qi's serious face relaxed a lot and said, "When you get to your bookstore, why don't you go in and sit for a while?"

Only then did Zhang Sui realize that this bookstore was actually run by the Zhang family. Zhang Sui was a little embarrassed. He quickly said: "I have been passing by this bookstore since then and didn't notice that this is my own bookstore. I'm ashamed."

Mr. Qi nodded and said: "Second Young Master, if you are free, why don't you go in and sit for a while? I have something I want to ask Young Master for."

Zhang Sui thought about it and realized that there was nothing urgent to do, so he nodded in agreement.

After Mr. Qi took Zhang Sui into the store, they walked all the way to a small courtyard at the back. After passing through the small courtyard, they came to the door of a wing. Mr. Qi opened the door and made an invitation gesture.

After Zhang Sui saluted, he stepped into the wing room. This wing room was very spacious, with easels dividing the entire wing into many spaces. Mounted calligraphy and paintings were hung on each easel.

There is a large wooden table inside, on which are placed many tools for mounting paintings and some unfinished calligraphy and paintings.

After a few people sat down, Mr. Qi said: "The paintings that Third Miss asked me to frame for her last time were all made by Second Young Master, right?"

Zhang Suidao said: "This is a joke, just to amuse my little sister and make Mr. Qi laugh."

Mr. Qi shook his head and said: "This is not a joke. I am very impressed by the paintings you made. There is a method in those paintings. Although the shape is very different from the various painting styles of the past dynasties, they can be

The human expression and spirit are perfectly distilled, and it is already popular among everyone."

Zhang Sui felt ashamed when he heard Mr. Qi's evaluation. He said: "Mr. Qi is so complimentary. Those paintings are just my own scribblings when I have nothing to do. I don't deserve such praise from Mr. Qi."

Mr. Qi sighed: "In the art of calligraphy and painting, talent is better than hard work. Some people practice it all their lives, but they just copy the wisdom of their predecessors and have nothing new to say."

Mr. Qi paused, looked at Zhang Sui and said, "But some people, even without the guidance of a famous teacher or orthodox teaching, can still have their own charm even if they graffiti freely. The young master may be this second type of person!"
