Chapter 2 I may be the first cook who can't fry rice
"Oh, it's over." Chen Ze looked at the empty freezers and shelves in the basement and felt like he was about to die suddenly.
"Although I have known for a long time that a restaurant that has not been open for a year will not have any dishes." Chen Ze walked back to the second floor helplessly, where a girl named Rose was looking at the decorations in the restaurant with curiosity.
Chen Ze glanced furtively, and now he roughly understood that the girl in front of him was indeed not a chuunibyou, but a real elf.
Chen Ze scratched his head. There were no ingredients in the kitchen.
Do you want a knife? Chen Ze held the heavy kitchen knife in his hand and was silent for a while.
Then he looked at Rose again, and the other person's scepter was placed on the table.
"What do you want to do?" Rose squinted her eyes and looked at Chen Ze, her hand already holding the scepter, with a faint purple light shining on it.
"Ahem, there are no more ingredients. I want to go out and buy some food." Chen Ze put down the kitchen knife in embarrassment.
I definitely didn’t do it because I couldn’t beat the opponent! I definitely didn’t put down the knife because I saw her mastering magic!
Chen Ze silently comforted himself.
"Oh? A restaurant has no ingredients?" Rose smiled playfully.
"Do you think I'm stupid enough to let you go out and snitch?" Rose weighed the scepter in her hand.
"Although I am only a mid-level priest, killing you is no more troublesome than crushing a bug." Rose's words were full of threats.
The corner of Chen Ze's mouth twitched. He didn't know why, but at this moment, he suddenly thought of a roommate of his in college.
"If it were him, he would probably yell something like 'Please step on me!'..."
Chen Ze returned to the kitchen. The situation was already obvious. He had no other choice but to bring out a piece of food that satisfied her.
If making headlines the next day counts as an option.
Chen Ze looked at the instant noodles he bought after coming out of the law firm. It seemed like this was the only choice now?
Chen Ze secretly took the instant noodles to the kitchen, tore open the package and took out the noodles.
Life requires a sense of ritual, especially in places like restaurants.
This is a famous saying just invented by Chen Ze.
Basically, most foods can be sold at unreasonable prices as long as they use a little exquisite processing and decent presentation.
This was Chen Ze’s biggest feeling after he and his roommate went out to eat French cuisine.
"What is this?" Rose came over at some point and startled Chen Ze who was preparing to cook noodles.
Chen Ze glanced at the instant noodle bucket next to him. This was Chen Ze's favorite flavor, pickled cabbage.
"This is the ingredient I found out. It's very cheap, 3.5 a barrel." If you say this, you will probably die.
So Chen Ze changed his explanation.
"Miss Rose, this is a dish I specially prepared for you. Purple clouds cover gold. It is also a high-end dish here." Chen Ze tore open the sauerkraut bag without changing his expression and squeezed the sauerkraut inside into the small bowl.
In the bowl.
"Really?" Rose sniffed, and there was a strange smell in the air.
"By the way, Miss Rose, do you have any taboos?" Chen Ze asked while turning on the hot water.
If Rose is really an elf, will there be any special customs, such as not eating animals?
If she eats it and finds out there is beef in it, and she happens to be a taboo, she will still be on the news headlines the next day.
"What are the taboos?" Rose picked up the instant noodle bucket nearby and looked at the strange words on it, becoming even more confused.
"Do you have anything you can't eat?" Chen Ze looked at the boiling water and threw the noodles in.
"I'm a gray elf. There's nothing I can't eat. In fact, when food was scarce, I also ate like you." Rose shook her head. She couldn't understand the words on it.
"Then please wait a moment. I'll serve it after the dishes are ready." Chen Ze flipped the noodles with chopsticks and said without looking back.
Chen Ze looked at the noodles that had become a little softer, took them out, filtered the water and put them in a bowl. He poured out the water for cooking the noodles and cooked it again.
I don’t know if what I read online is reliable. While waiting for the water to boil, Chen Ze checked his mobile phone.
Originally he wanted to ask for help, but later he discovered that his cell phone had lost signal at some point.
"Haha, I may be the first chef who can't even make fried rice." Chen Ze looked at the bowl of pickled cabbage and beef noodles that he carefully prepared in front of him, and the corners of his mouth twitched a few times.
Chen Ze took out a tray, put the noodles on it, and then gave it to Rose, who was sitting in a chair in a daze.
Rose looked down and saw that it was a bowl of something she didn't recognize at all, a reddish soup, a yellow thread-like thing, and some dark vegetables on it.
Rose sniffed it and found that the smell was very unique and there was nothing suspicious about it.
Rose stretched out her finger, and a flash of purple light flashed by. Then she nodded with satisfaction, picked up the fork on the side, and began to taste this unique dish.
Chen Ze stood aside uneasily. He didn't know if the pickled beef noodles were in line with Rose's taste. You must know that even on Earth, not everyone likes instant noodles.
There wasn't much noodles in a bowl, and even though Rose ate very slowly, she finished it in less than five minutes.
"The taste is average, but it's still enough to satisfy your hunger. Is this a high-end dish in your world?" Rose was a little disdainful.
"Frankly speaking, your dish is not as good as the food I had at the temple, and there is no meat." Rose continued to belittle Chen Ze's dish.
"It's just that dark vegetable that tastes surprisingly delicious." This was Rose's final comment.
Chen Ze could only show an awkward smile at the side.
"Okay, although this dish is just so-so, but since you still serve up an edible food, I will trust you for once." Rose stretched out, picked up her scepter, and
stood up.
Chen Ze blinked. He didn't understand how this elf came to his restaurant. Now that it looked like he was leaving, he had to take a closer look.
"Also, next time, ask the magician in your restaurant to be careful and not to open the magic door randomly." Rose dropped a silver coin, then opened the door and walked out.
Chen Ze was stunned for a moment. He had just seen clearly that there was a wilderness outside the door.
There was no one there, only a few trees stood out in the red light.
And in the sky, there was a huge red object that was emitting light.
Chen Ze rubbed his eyes. The door had been closed. If it weren't for the soup in the bowl beside him, Chen Ze would even think that he had a mental problem.
"I...I was transported to another world?" Chen Ze walked over fiercely and opened the door.
Outside the door, there was still the familiar environment of K City, with vehicles coming and going, and couples walking by hand in hand.
Even the mobile phone signal has returned to normal.
Chen Ze closed the door and opened it again. There was no change, which made him relieved.
"Forget it, forget it, go back to sleep." Chen Ze rubbed his head. He had already brought his luggage and checked out the room. If he didn't sleep here, there was really no other place to sleep.
