Chapter One Hundred and Twenty One: The Sixth Spring and Autumn of the Solitary Country
This corruption is like a living abstus. Although it is impossible to see clearly through the large swamp and the looming black fog, Emily can still feel the stench with her nose. The pastures of the past have long been reduced to a terrible land, and every bubble floating from the bottom will always remain on the surface for a while, and then explode, like a dying person swallowing his last breath.
Although it was invisible to the naked eye, she swore that the swamp had expanded a little more after she left. If she let it go, the scene could spread to the entire eternal forest. Emily thought so, and the elf mage who came with it was the same. The mage's sick golden cheeks flushed, and in desperation he jumped off his horse, and ran to the edge of the mud in three steps.
If Ruby hadn't been waiting for him, the elf mage might have jumped into the swamp to find the source of corruption. The mage shouldn't have done such an impulse, but seeing that the land in his hometown was poisoned, Reslin could no longer think calmly. He shook his hand to break free from Ruby's control, and a mere mage actually tried to compete with the demon.
This time it was Emily's turn to act as a peacemaker. Before both sides were serious, the female mage persuaded Resling to stop. She pointed to the key-shaped metal product hanging on the elf on her chest and woke up the other party.
"Oh, please forgive me." He apologized to Ruby with embarrassment, and the succubus let go.
The elf mage's right wrist was pinched into purple by the succubus, but Leslin didn't notice it. He watched the swamp for a while and shook his head. It seemed that even the elf's vision could not tell the reason. Leslin looked back at Emily, and seemed to want to go down.
"It's poisonous inside." Ruby pointed to the depths of the swamp, where there were some kind of animal corpses floating on the surface, such as birds who were too light to sink even if they died.
Sanchez is playing black magic, and his focus is naturally different from others. He can't forget the scene where the necromancer drives animals to rush into the barrier. However, when Sanchez goes to see again, there are no corpses that are several stories high. In a shock, he secretly pulled Ruby over and asked where the dead animals were.
"I don't know." The succubus shook his head and his face was innocent. Ruby claimed that it was already very difficult to maintain attention alone, and it was impossible to observe the environment. The necromancer did not need to eat, so removing the corpse would only be used to do one thing.
Looking at the forest outside, Sanchez suddenly felt that he could not open the barrier, and he shared his concerns with his companions.
"Don't worry, Mr. Campbell, I'll only open one small piece of it." Resling held the key in his hand and seemed confident. "Just enough Miss Carlotte casts the spell."
"Please prepare." This was said to Emily, and after receiving the latter's response, the elf raised the key. Sanchez only heard him say one word. The black-robed mage did not understand the elf's words, and he thought it was too simple.
The sky ahead became brighter than before, and could even pierce the dark mist. Sanchez suddenly realized that this was the effect of the magic barrier. The four of them retreated to a safe distance. Sanchez's eyes had never left the woods, and there was no imagined tide of corpse.
