Chapter 44: The Black Mountain Clan

The Paladin showed his power to defeat the rat, but this is only temporary. In the unavoidable underground enclosed space, the number advantage will eventually win, and the failed side has no place to escape.

Ola ran towards the donkey pulling the cart. The noisy mouse scared the donkey. The short pack beast sniffed, shaking its head and walking around within the allowable range of the rope, not allowing people to approach. Ola took a while to comfort it. Duncan put a blindfold on the donkey in order to facilitate the cart, Ola took it off.

The donkey has no ability to see things in the darkness, and whether or not to wear an eye mask is actually not very meaningful. I recognized the smell of my master, and the dwarf above the donkey expressed intimacy. Looking at the two pairs of big and dark eyes, Ora couldn't make up his mind.

"Hurry!" Duncan shouted from behind. She had never heard of this noble slut so panic since she met her. The holy light summoned by Paladin Christina, the rat burned with squeaking. Ora couldn't understand why the elves were so powerful but didn't show any dew in the horn castle. She didn't know how long Christina could last. The mage was the hope of companions with the less and more. Jack survived the panic of being bitten by the rat at the beginning, but most of the precious spell materials were spilled out and forced to attack the rat group with the most basic magic missiles.

Ola didn't have to look back, just by smelling the smell and listening to the sound, he knew how critical the situation was. Nassom had already gotten up, and the female mercenary drew out her sword tremblingly, and she couldn't even hold it. Riley's condition was even worse. The male mercenary could stand by holding the carriage. How long will this weak line of defense be broken through?

Forgive me, the female dwarf took out a short-handled axe as a tool and knocked it on the donkey's butt. The two donkeys whistled in pain and rushed into the darkness aimlessly. The blind donkey was a more easy target to catch, and the two animals passed away by passive self-sacrifice, which led to more than half of the mice.

"Everything is going on!" Duncan had given up the crossbow, but he still felt that the carry-on dagger and the single-blade axe were useful. Dozens of dead mice were lying around the dwarf, many of which were trampled to death.

"Hurry! If you don't want to die, go away!" Duncan threw a dagger at a big mouse wandering in the distance. Regardless of whether it hit or not, he helped Riley up and pulled off the mercenary's eye-covering cloth. The male mercenary's knees were weak and almost fell to his knees. The dwarf quickly grabbed the belt with his hands and pulled Riley up with one hand.

"Where are you going?" Nasolome's voice sounded much better, and her memories of the unhappy Horn Castle were deeply imprinted in her mind.

"It's better to go anywhere than to stand and die." Duncan rolled into the car and threw his luggage down in a daze, regardless of whether everyone could pick it up or not. "There are many natural caves at the root of the mushroom, and if you are lucky, you can find it."

"Can we get in?" Riley was desperate. He and Nassom were the worst in the team, and he was the biggest among them.

Duncan did not answer this question. He tied his backpack and jumped out of the car. The wailing of the donkey before his death came from a distance. How long does the two donkeys have enough to eat a bunch of mice? The person who figured it out quickly joined Duncan. Christina put his hand on Jack's forehead. Somehow, the mage's face was quite hard and lacked a normal touch. The holy light was as effective as ever. The mage couldn't help but moan a few times, and the wounds all over his body healed.

"Thank you." Jack looked down at the robe with holes everywhere. His spells and materials were completely lost. He could not cast much magic by just spells.

Jack bent down and picked up the staff. Christina turned around and checked. A shiny red hill had formed in the distance in her eyes. The donkey would come to us after eating. The injury was healed, and his spirit would not be restored for a while. Christina held the mage and helped him maintain balance.

"I'm sorry, I'll bother you. If you don't want to stay and wait for death, just stick your butt out." Duncan seemed to have found the tunnel to escape when he heard the tone.

No one likes to drill holes again, but the mice are left to eat alive.

"If you were you, you wouldn't have left there." The words came from above, and Christina looked up immediately, with the hanging stalagmites densely packed with no other than that.

The three ropes drooped down with the sound, and the owner who showed the sound was not only talking. The mouse also spoke, but his voice was extremely sharp and the thick bass of the dwarf. The elf finally found a dark hole and a looming face between the two stalactites. As if he was afraid that the people below would not see it, the rescuer raised the torch and shook it around.

Reilly thought thankfully, and drew the Spear of Terra on his chest with the gratitude of surviving the disaster.

"Tie the waist with a rope and wait for us to pull it."

Nasom, Riley and Jack were the first group, and the elves insisted on the last one to go. As soon as the rope was pulled her off the ground, the group of mice rushed up. The reinforcements, who had not yet shown their faces, pulled the elves up and fled the crazy rats. The elves held the rope tightly with their hands, staring at them, refusing to admit that they were frightened.

"My name is Lyme, this is my brother, Tim, Frank." The dwarf, whose dark skin and face almost covered in hair, introduced himself. His two brothers reacted strangely when they were called, nodding his head with a fool's smile and repeated his name.

"Don't bother talking to them, they're all fools." Lyme shook hands with Duncan and stopped the elf from greeting his brother.

"Tim." "Frank." The two dwarves read the name again and smiled brightly.

Christina is located in a cave that was completely man-made, which looks like a small replica than the tunnel below. Lyme closed the opening opening and locked it, which was a metal cover. The lighting conditions here are much better. Every few dozen steps you take some kind of glowing ore as lighting, and the ore light is warm yellow, the same as a torch. There is no ubiquitous smoke and fire like Karaz-Karak, and the air is even a little fresh.

"This thing is so amazing." Ora stared at it, "Can you take one away?"

The dwarf clans generally do not lack money, but the cost of lighting torches in the cave is not affordable for everyone. Lem turned his head and looked at Ola for a long time, laughed dryly and then walked forward.

"I can give the money." Ora blurted out. Lyme and his two silly brothers were worn in tatters. Lyme's chain mail vest had several big holes broken and was still using it.

"Unless you want to be a fool, I won't sell it." Lem didn't look back and just shook his shoulders. "My brother Tim was the first to be stupid, and poor Frank was fine when I came back ten years ago."

"Frank." The silly brother went back and forth and forth and only knew this sentence.

"Ore turned them like this?" Ora didn't quite understand.

"Or what do you think?" Lyme was impatient and seemed to be talking to his silly brother.

Ola made a fuss and shut his mouth and helped Nasom walk. Although Lyme's two younger brothers were stupid, they were very strong. They easily carried everyone's luggage and did not walk slowly at all. This place is straight and connected to the north and south, with a simple structure and a single purpose, just like a layer of cover on the tunnel below, with dwarf words written on both sides of the rock wall indicating the direction.

Lyme spoke imperial language, and Christina couldn't understand the ancient words engraved on the wall. She guessed that this place was like the tunnel under her feet, and was the product left by ancient dwarves.

As they gradually deepened, more and more dwarves appeared as onlookers. Their reaction was very similar to Lyme's younger brother, and they could not blink even if they opened their eyes. A dwarf bit his finger and smiled foolishly at the strange guest. However, he bit his fingers too hard. The dwarf looked at the bleeding wound in a daze and screamed. This new change attracted the audience who watched the fun, and they surrounded the injured dwarf and discussed enthusiastically.

To the elves, it was just that many people repeated their names. The dwarfs were dirty and smelly all over. You should know that there was a poor ventilation here. The elves were dizzy and soon they were dizzy. Christina was not a delicate lady, but she was not the only one who felt disgusted. Riley covered her mouth and coughed violently, which made Christina worry that he would fall down every time.

"You are the Montenegro clan." Since Duncan only cares about walking with the other party down, the elf asked without hesitation. These things should have been brought up by Duncan, who is a dwarf, but now he is guilty and is most afraid that others will ask him for his honorary name.

"Yes, Miss." Lyme was a man of lack of courtesy and never looked at his face when speaking to people. "Go away, the king has something to say to you."

"King, where is he?" After experiencing the majestic Karaz-Karak, it was hard for Christina to imagine a dwarf king staying in a small tunnel that was only three meters high. She just wanted to get rid of this endless cave as soon as possible and walk to the ground, even if she was trembling with the snow. This place is already taller than the tunnel just now, isn't it? The elf comforts herself.

"Just ahead, you can see him right away."

Having said that, Lyme led them forward for a long time until the odor disappeared. Visitors met a post with armed guards and flags painted with Montenegro clan symbols. Apart from their old clothes, these dwarf guards looked much more normal.

Lyme talked to the leading officer for a few words and left his two younger brothers outside the post.

"You stay well, you are not allowed to go anywhere!" The brother looked at the younger brothers to make sure they understood.

"Tim." The younger brothers of "Frank" smirked at their brothers, unloaded their luggage and stood there blankly.

"Idiots are not allowed to go in there." Lyme explained the reason in front of his younger brothers.

There were still curious people, but their clothes were obviously more particular than those of my compatriots just now, and their eyes were shining with rational light. This interesting and weird journey came to an abrupt end, and Lyme pointed to a larger door on the left: "Go, the king is waiting inside."
