Chapter 26 Basic Knowledge of Onmyoji

Sometimes it is really beneficial to run fast with long legs.

If Guan Junyan ran slower and heard the conversation between Guan Haoji and Niba Zhongbang, his mentality might continue to collapse.

Imagine this thing is terrible.

Whether in a good direction or in a bad direction, just bringing a special filter will complicate simple things.

It is obviously a very simple sentence, why do you always have to over-interpret it?

Just like the reading comprehension questions of the Chinese language of Zanghuajia, Guan Junyan dared to guarantee that Mr. Lu Xun did not think so much when he spoke and wrote.

For example, the sentence "The greatest, most permanent and most common art in our China is that men dress up as women" - this refers to the long-standing opera culture of the Hua family. When Mr. Lu Xun said this, he would never have thought that there would be a large group of women's clothing masters who have nothing to do with opera singing today a hundred years later.

Ahem, it's been a long way off.

In short, it is true that Guan Junyan wants to go to the library, but he is not looking for ways to solve the sequelae, but he is trying to replenish the knowledge of Onmyoji in order to better play the role of the head of the Guan family.

Following the route I recorded yesterday, I walked into the library, picked up the ancient book that had been around for many years, and officially read it.

The person who writes books is Guan Zhiyi.

A name that has a very déjà vu, but it is definitely not the Guchuan Gilgamesh Xiaofu in my memory.

Judging from the Guan family's naming routine, it might be done by Guan Taiyi's father or even grandfather.

Unfortunately, the system's functions are not as powerful as retrieving information based on just one name, so Guan Junyan cannot determine which Guan family boss this is.

That's right, big guy.

In Guan Junyan's view, those who have reached the top in various industries and wrote high-end works are the big guys.

But those who summarize all the contents and write introductory basics are also big shots.

The former represents the upper limit of a field, while the latter is the threshold and foundation. No matter how great your achievements will be, you have to pass through it.

For Guan Junyan today, this is the most appropriate entry point, and the importance is equivalent to the first book of military strategy I read yesterday.

The book "Introduction to Onmyoji" also deserves his expectations.

It is clear from the beginning and straight to the point.

The first article explains what Onmyoji is.

As the name suggests, it pursues the technique of yin and yang.

The theory of Yin and Yang originated in China and is considered to be the basis for the world and can transform into all things.

Studying the yin and yang means studying the truth of the world. The visible matter, invisible things, such as fate, soul, and ghosts, are all within the scope of their research and understanding. The areas of activity at the beginning were sacrifices, divination, cultivation, and rituals (auxiliary government).

There are many similarities with Shinto priests, and it is true. Before the Heian era, Yin-Yang Tao and Shinto were not separated and were vassals of Shinto.

Although there are specialized Onmyoji and exclusive titles such as doctors and their status cannot be said to be low, they are still unable to compare with the top priests of the deeply rooted belief system.

It was not until the biggest legend among Onmyoji, the well-deserved first person who suppressed an era of "Japan Jiang Ziya" - I have to say that Japan really likes to compare ancient Chinese humans, such as "Little Zhang Fei" Tadao Tada, "Little Kong Ming" Takenaka Half-Benwei, and "Little Zhao Yun" Yukimura Sanada - that the Onmyoji got rid of the status of Shinto maid and became independent.

The activity field has gradually deprived the part of the Shinto, focusing on the cultivation of history, rituals (auxiliary government), geomancy (feng shui), seals, etc., and has developed all the way to this day, spreading and continuing. (This history has undergone a certain degree of magical modification, and everything serves this book, and should not be brought into reality)

There are also special explanations for the origin of the Guan family lineage.

It originated from the second takeoff period after the Heian era, the Kamakura era.

Although the Heian era brought the political influence of Onmyoji to its peak, it was firmly held by the emperor as an important ruling tool of the ruling class, and did not give other forces the opportunity to get involved. Even the public who had close ties with the royal family could only quietly create a shameful "folk Yin-Yang Road".

However, in the Kamakura era, the power of the martial family rose rapidly, and the imperial power and the public gradually declined. Many Onmyoji who originally worked for the nobles of the court began to flow into the people, and quickly combined with other religions to form a new Yin-Yang Tao for the public, which truly became the basis for the inheritance of Onmyoji. This "popular Yin-Yang Tao" has been passed down to this day.

Guan Qingping, the first Onmyoji of the Guan family, was born in such an era.

In his early years, he was an ignorant playboy. Later, after being taught by an Onmyoji, he changed his past and became interested in the Yin-Yang Tao.

First, he followed the local civilian Onmyoji to practice, and then entered the era of Asuka. The official Yin-Yangdao institution "Yin-Yangliao" established by Emperor Tianwu received orthodox education.

The Yin-Yangtou, the highest-ranking official of the Yin-Yang Lao, was the direct descendant of the Abe family whose name had been changed to the Tooji Gate. He once gave a lot of guidance to the ancestors of the Guan family, and hung a portrait of Abe Seiya at home. This also arises from this.

Guan Qingping's lifetime was limited and he did not leave any reputation, but his inheritance remained and became an inconspicuous tributary of Onmyoji.

Inconspicuous has inconspicuous benefits. After Kamakura, Japan was in chaos, and many inheritances and schools were cut off due to war. The entire Yin-Yang Dao was greatly damaged and almost unable to recover.

However, because the Guan family was small and inconspicuous, they just escaped a disaster and were able to preserve the inheritance. After the chaos, the great rule gradually developed, and finally took root in Otoma and gained its current status.

After talking about the history of Onmyoji and the family, we will come to Chapter 2, the introduction to Onmyoji.

Yin-Yang Technique is the core technology of Onmyoji, the key competitiveness, and the reliance of Onmyoji to exercise their functions, so there are many types.

Divination, astrology, geomancer, seal, Shikigami, etc., and different Onmyoji schools are also good at different things.

The Guan family’s Onmyoji practice is the first priority of Shikigami, followed by Geometric and Seal. Other categories only have a brief understanding and do not do special practice.

No matter which category of Yin-Yang Technique is, it requires magic power to support it. The first lesson of Onmyoji is to practice magic power.

Unlike warriors who gain strength through breathing and tempering their bodies, Onmyoji gains strength through their souls.

It is mainly divided into two roads.

One is to clear the spirit, tap the potential of one's own soul, and then resonate with nature and achieve the effect of interfering with the environment.

The other is to make contracts with other souls, either borrowing power or driving.

To put it bluntly, the former is a spell, and the latter is a Shikigami.

The Guan family's practice focuses on the latter, and Guan Junyan is also interested in the latter.

So the most critical question is, how to get Shikigami?

PS: I thought I didn’t need many words to write this kind of thing, but I accidentally finished it. Considering that the background setting is also a part of the book, it can play a role in enriching content, so I won’t delete it. It needs to be verified and modified, which is more tiring than promoting the plot. I hope everyone likes it.
